Teams listen to offers, even if they don’t plan on trading. He’s making himself look bad. He’s not god gift to receivers. I love BA, I do, but he’s taking this extremely personal. When you have a team that’s in the conversation every year you can’t just pay players more than what they’re worth, it’s June, he needs to chill. I understand he worked hard to get where he is, very very hard, so I understand why he would take this personally. Getting paid a couple more million a year possibly but having to play on a crap team vs going to the superbowl or knowing you have a chance to play for a championship, and get a couple less million a year.

Really, ok so Brandon Aiyuk was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2020. He signed a 5 year rookie contract and now 2024 he going into this 4 year right? So he only got two more years on his contract.

You have to remember that Kyle doesn't believe rookie WRs are ready to contribute in a significant role. Trading BA away before the draft to get another WR wouldn't make sense to Kyle.
I think their ask would be much higher now than it was before the draft because they can't just draft someone with a high pick they get in return, so if Washington's offer wasn't enough before the draft, it's unlikely they or anyone else would offer more now.

I'm really over this. I don't know why, but this hits different than Deebo/Bosa holdouts. Aiyuk just seems so cryptic, and unprofessional in his social media presence as well as making things all about him immediately after the Superbowl. Like.. Yeah he's really good.. I'm so glad you brought up the 94 Niners because I said the same thing going into this off-season and I agree with you 100% but when you mention " To get past the Cheifs " shouldn't be the primary goal.
I know what you meant by that statement but I really think after the regular season, last year, our primary focus should be getting out of the NFC. It's safe to say that our division and the Lion, Eagles, Packers, and even Falcons ( don't sleep on them ) are on our heels. And we'd be crazy to not think that the Rams and Seahawks aren't lacking their chops. I can honestly say that this will be a great year for the NFL and fans all around. Paying 1 wide reciever 10% of your salary cap is absolutely stupid... especially given how many WRs their have been recently. The last 3 drafts combined there were 12 WRs teams thought were good enough to draft in the 1st round... damn near half the league. Overpaying a position that also is "easy" to find is oppositie of how this should work. WR is also the most dependant position in the league. Need both a good offensive line and good QB to be effective. Let other teams pay WRs $30+ mil. I'd rather have a killer defense and good O-line... Purdy has another year like last year hes going to get major paid... not to mention if he won a superbowl with the 9ers...

All this trade talk is dumb. Clearly the team wants more for him than any team is willing to offer. Also, future picks are dumb because they don't help us win this year and cost us our #1 WR. I thought the goal was to win a SB, so why would we give away All-Pro talent.
The team is sending some mix message as well. They didn't want to give him the extension last year, but now, after the "price of the brick" has gone up, they offer last year's money.
I’m sick of Aiyuk. I was sick of Deebo and his drama and thought they should have traded him too. At this point force Aiyuk to play out his 5th year or he can sit out. I don’t care anymore. There are plenty of weapons on this offense. They’ll be fine. I’d like to see them be more run first anyway. Get the ball to CMC and feed the ball to Mason more. Just because they’re trying to win a Super Bowl doesn’t mean they should overpay for yet another receiver when the most important guys on this offense have proven to be Kittle, CMC, Trent, and Deebo.

Imagine you're at work and it's that time of year again for a raise. You're expecting a good raise and your friend who works for a different company but the same type of job is getting paid big time. You're an excellent employee and your performance is great. You really like your company and you've spent time away from your family and friends to put in the work towards your company. You walk into the meeting with your manager and he low balls your raise. You're upset and angry that after all the time and energy you put into work they don't value you the same way. You have to be patient because this will go right up to the deadline. Also, fining him will only make things worse and he still won't show up. If he goes beyond the deadline then this year's contract will be pushed to next year, which is worse than a fine. You said it yourself that we have to win now. Trading him is out of the question for now so we will have to work something out.

Let me translate that for you David. What he means by that statement is that the 49ers told him that trade talks are not off the table. If a good offer comes in they will trade him just like they would and have anyone else. In other words, they told him, when it comes to the overall picture as a whole organization past, present and future, he ain't nothing. So what BA is saying is that he didn't expect them to respond like that.
