it works great! the rubber mats are not expansive compare to the benefits it offers. only down sides are the expensive vacuumpomp and the coolant separation system.
@stereotomyalan Air under the workpiece is sucked out by a pump or even a household vacuum cleaner. This means that atmospheric pressure at 15 lbs/sq in is pressing down on the workpiece holding it securely.
