*_This is what I love most about RG (ESG) reviews - they are lengthy and concise, very informative, their data are taken from actual/real-world tests and always has comparisons. For riders who love statistics, this is the best electric scooter UA-cam Channel out there, complete with visuals and charts and graphs and more. And they do all of these without removing the fun from watching. Keep up the good reviews, guys. Ride safe always. Cheers!_* Oh, and yeah, I hope this particular model becomes available where I am now or in my own country.
Esg was the only channel to give a real world number when it came to range and weight of the cruiser. I checked myself, it’s 59lbs (2021 model) and the range is 45-48 miles real world riding.
Im at 5000 miles on my 2021 Cruiser. I’m planning to get the thumb throttle and sine wave controller this summer. Nice to see the cruiser maintain its place as one of the best single motor scooters!
IT WAS YOUR REVIEW THAT CONVINCED ME THE EMOVE CRUISER S 52v was the best scooter for me I buy the damn thing received it 6/18 it’s now 6/22 and I only rode it a few times ( just for commute I don’t do tricks or none of that) they sent it with missing screws and the speedometer/ power button/ little device that displays the battery percentage usage stopped working after just 3 days which pose as a major issue seeing as I wouldn’t know when I’m running low or how fast I’m actually going l. I go to check the return/refund policy for the 1300 dollar scooter after taxes and shipping fees and there basically isn’t one I’ll only get store credit or a damn gift card and they’ll get a scooter to resell PEOPLE PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID😒
The Battery: LG 52V 30Ah (1560 Wh) has always put it well above all other single motor scooters. EMOVE Cruiser is like the Porsche of the scooter world, not changing what does not need to be fixed but making small improvements year by year.
It really ruins my graphs when I'm trying to look at other scooters because there is everything else on the graph and then there's the Cruiser, and it's hard to really show both, because it's stands alone. :-) -Paul
Be carefull! Dont use that grips without gloves 😢 they have overrated of PAH which means you are more likely to get c*ncer through skin absorption. Another manufacturer of this scooter base in Europe uses leather grips specifically because they exceed the standard by over 1000% in PAH tests! In Europe this scooter have name HD Energy 4 Long Range and use little bigger capacity - 31,5Ah and also came with real leather grips + fast charger 5A instead of 2A. The price also are cheaper - 949$ + tax
I just ordered one last week. I'm praying I made the right choice, because the horrible reviews online and horrible customer service from voro is scaring the crap out of me
It’s an excellent scooter and voro has one of the best costumer service in the industry. People like to emphasize bad things and ignore the good. Great choice.
@ryugahydeki2 it's great. Have had it for over 6 months. No problems at all. It's a great first scooter. Has 3 speed modes to get used to it. I'm 170lbs and the top speed cruising is maybe 23-25 mph. 28 downhill pushing it. Battery lasts very long. I commute to an from work alot on it and only need to charge it maybe once or twice a week. My commute is maybe 3-4 miles one way. Overall it's been a great scooter
Hey what's going on Simon truthfully I'm in the same boat with you. I've been checking out the email of cruising for quite a while but because of all of the horrendous reviews about build quality and customer service I've been seeing online, has me doing a lot of second-guessing. I really want to buy it but I don't wanna end up with a lemon scooter the unlucky camper who ends up with a defective one. I was thinking about just getting the high boy max pro instead. I Already have the OUTSTORM MAXX PRO plus 3 But just wanted something a little more portable and convenient to bring along with me at a moment's notice
@lexxzus I have 370ish miles on mine now. Has been an excellent scooter. No problems whatsoever. As far as their customer service, I haven't had to deal with any of that so I won't speak on it.
I'm new to the world of scooters. One day in Oct. 2023 I woke up, saw a sponsored ad from Segway and decided to buy a refurbished ES2. I enjoyed it a lot but quickly learned there's way more to buying a scooter and the range is based on riding using minimal power. So here I am now, having range anxiety every time I go more than 4 miles from home wondering if I'll make it back. Based on how I ride in a city where the scooter law is max speed 15mph, I'm looking for a better scooter with much longer range. This review of the Emove and other reviews has convinced me that this is the one to get. I really appreciate the thorough review. It clearly explained so much to me as a novice. There are so many scooter options out there that I was feeling overwhelmed but this video helped to understand that this is the scooter I should probably get. I won't have the money until end of May/ early July to get one but I'm looking forward to getting this.
195lb guy and all i get is 30mph on nyc streets. But 30mph is GOOD enough for me! The emove is a BOSS and it rocks be prepared and ready for a wild ride on sport mode.
I have had my emove 2021 for two years now. I use it as my last mile vehicle for doing small errands, groceries and recreational riding. I have upgraded this scooter to the sinewave motor controller, full hydralic disk brakes, upgraded the headlight, installed a contactor to storage reduce battery drain, and finally upgraded to the new self sealing tires. Pros, Lightweight and portable enough to commute and to use most metros. easy to get parts for repairs, simple folding mechanism and handlebars, Most repairs can be done in under an hour, And yes the battery lasts me a whole month of errands. Cons: Tires are tough to mount on rims. Rear fender breaks easily if you hit large pothole or crack and is a very involved timely repair. Sharp Edges that can nick or chafe wires in deck, razor Sharp parts on handlebar folding parts that can cut your hands or damage property if scooter falls or is handled without due care. The original square wave motor controllers on this scooter are way underspec and they can overheat during longer hill climbs even in cool weather. They can be replaced easily with the upgraded sinewave ones tho :3. Overall i am happy with this scooter and I have even helped friends and random folks with fixing and maintainjng theirs. Would recommend. 👍🛴
Bought a brand new cruiser S last week and was surprised at the amount of stem wobble even after I tightened all of the lose screws. Quite rattley to even on concrete paths, am hoping the suspension beds in and i get a smoother ride. Plus side it's super responsive and powerful.
ok am back and I got to tell you awesome ,am so impressed ,I got my cruiser for Xmas from my wife and it's been a blast , I charged it once at Christmas and took it for a bunch of rides until June and it was still at 50 percent ,then I just got back from NYC ,and that was incredible adventure ,then road down to my boat for the 3rd then road over to my friends a town over for a party and back home then took it again on the 4th back to the lake for fireworks and still have 50 volts , hills no problem ,just everything about the scooter is awesome ,just wish it had a regen brake ,just get a helmet and a couple bike lights for it at night and have fun ,and get the shipping insurance ,and you will not be disappointed , it's a blast and incredible the distance you can go with the biggest smile you can have !
I have put about 4,000 miles on my 2020 cruiser, I recently upgraded the motor on it to the faster more powerful one and it was surprisingly easy to do. changing the tire was harder than upgrading the motor haha. It has held up great and I use it to get around places that I dont need to drive to
@@209rc7hey sorry for the late response, I believe I just got it from voromotors. I think I needed some adapter as well I forgot where that was at, but otherwise with those 2 things it was plug and play. If you look up some videos about upgrading the motor you can see all the info. I don't think I can send links without youtube removing my comment.
I like that its design is a nice balance between attractive and functional. That they didn't try to embed the handlebar controls, frontward torch, or other peripheral components into the body makes it much easier to accessorize at a later time without something looking goofy or out of place.
I recently installed the sine wave controller and updated motor in my Cruiser. They were warranty replacements. I essentially have the S and can attest to the difference in power acceleration.
I just looked this scooter up and it looks very impressive. I like the fact that it can accommodate heavier riders which means that it can handle my weight (286 lbs) easily and it looks fun to ride. I may consider buying one for myself as I can see myself parking my car and taking this for a ride on a trail. Another thing I like is the color options. Orange or red look really nice on this scooter.
Great overall review on a scooter I've had for about 2 years. Just bought the new sinewave controller, and will have it installed this weekend. Looking forward to a faster, smoother ride!
I have a 2021 Model and it's fantastic. Notes for long term riding. The range is fantastic. I've regularly done 3-4 rides of about 14 flat miles before a charge. Hills definitely eat into the range ,but on flat I've gotten closer to 50 miles out of it. Also if you live in a place with rough roads/potholes, this thing will be a godsend. Dual suspension alone is worth it, I will not get another scooter without it. The only thing I don't like very much is the build quality of the parts on the handlebars. The voltage reader crapped out and the plastic housing on some of the parts is flimsy. Other than that though it's a fantastic scooter. Love it.
This is a great video! First, love the production quality and thank you for fixing the audio to normalize it. Lastly, E-move looks like the best bang for the buck!
Random tire change tip: Use big zip ties (reusable if possible) and zip tie around the tire (like cutting a pizza) so the inner beads are touching which thins up the tire. You can get both beads over one side of the rim all at once, and usually without a pry bar, or very little prybar to get the last bit over. I've changed sport bike tires this way for a while, and it's so much easier than prybar alone. Takes less than 20 min per rim, so a scooter should go very quick. 8 to 12 zip ties should do it for a 10" tire. I use about 18 ties on a front 70/17" sport bike rim, and about 26 on a 180/190/17 rear.
This makes total sense. I knew that zip ties make it easier to keep the bead in the valley, but had never heard that you could sometimes get them tight enough that you could push both beads over the rim in one shot! I'll try that next time. I'm due for a new set of 120/70-17 and 180-17's (on my Street Triple) myself! Thanks! -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide My pleasure. I hope it helps. And I do want to say Thank You as well to the entire RG team for the killer scooter content and depth of information! I know that it takes a lot of work from a lot of dedicated people to do everything that RG does. It's appreciated, very much so.
The one thing I love about the E-Move Cruiser series is that it's just so *reliable*. Every part of it is so ridiculously optimized that you know it's just going to work no matter what. Sure, it doesn't look much-- it even looks quirky compared to other scooters at roughly the same price range, but it just hits the spot perfectly with its base specs and customizability. Solid range, solid speed, solid everything. A true jack-of-all-trades and the ideal stopping point for anyone who just wishes to buy an e-scooter once and ride with it for the rest of their lives. I can't wait to see what iterations they'll make in the future.
I'm at 956 miles so far almost been a year! Without the best scooter out there! The only thing I would of recommend is a new display screen like the wolf king gt, and brighter break light. Eitherway the EMOVE Cruiser is a perfect example 10 out of 10!
Outstanding review that covers just about EVERYTHING. Finally, a thumb throttle as default! Should've happened years ago. I think the cruiser is a great choice for "around town" commuting. For people needing 40 miles round trip (without the ability to charge in-between) it's the way to go. But, if a person only needs about half that, there ARE decent alternatives at a better price (the new Ninebot Max G2 comes to mind). Of course, if a person needs 80 miles round trip (a charge in-between) it'll get the job done. How long to charge the batteries from empty/near empty to full? Again, outstanding review!
Thanks so much! Great question. Quoted charging time is 9 to 12 hours. If I remember correctly there is only one charging port. A battery this size would be a good candidate for faster charging with no ill effects on the battery (because 4 hours charging time wouldn't hurt a thing). I'll check how many amps it says on the charger. The charging time is surprisingly always pretty close to total battery Ah/charging amps. -Paul
@@newestclips6882 that's a bit high. The battery is 4 years old, and lithium batteries lose a bit of capacity every year even if not used. Plus the 2019 model has a 600 watt motor instead of the 2021 and later models that have the 1000w motor. I'd say $500 to $600 is reasonable. Still a great scooter though, have fun if you buy it!
Great review Paul! I was considering this for my wife as her rainy-day scooter. I have always respected the E-move. Unfortunately she prefers the ultralights so we stick to the Inokim LIght 2 for her on rainy days. I have addressed all the main egress points on the scooter so water won't penetrate anything vital. The dual drum brakes on the Inokim along with the pneumatic tires are exceptionally solid in the rain. The low CG of the Inokim LIght 2 also helps a lot on wet roads.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide The Light 2 is a great ultra portable. We bought a second one after our first one was stolen. My wife really enjoys it and switches between the E-Twow GT and Light 2.
Hi scooter guys. Note on the comparison to the dualtron Mini. The 2022 version now has front and rear drum brakes. The handlebars fold now instead of the old BMX style handlebars, so it's much more portable. It's also a out 8lbs lighter than the cruiser and has maybe better suspension, so I think a head to head is in order.
I cannot wait for the eventual e-move climber dual motor scooter 😂 impressive what they have done with 1 motor, but for hills 2 motors is a need not a want
Recently purchased the Cruiser S and love it so far. I was a little worried about it only being single motor but it goes so fast I don’t even drive it on max speed. It makes me think that all dual motor scooters are bad, they either have poor range or are very expensive. The Cruiser is fast, has long range, can handle hills just fine, and is affordable. Basically the perfect scooter in my opinion. The only thing that has shocked me is how large it is. It’s heaps bigger than my Unagi e350, and it’s not easy to carry. But no e scooter with this amount of range and power will be light. The only reason I would not recommend this is if you’re looking for a commuter scooter and need more portability and less weight. If these aren’t concerns though, there’s really no reason not to buy it.
Wow! Thank you so much. I went with a little bit different style on this review, since we've reviewed it maybe 4 times now and wanted to say some new things about the general feel of the scooter. -Paul
What do you like about the Xiaomi? Do you have it yet? We're curious about that one, and curious if Xiaomi will hang around in the US for a while this time. -Paul
I've been trying to save up and "upgrade" from my 28-30mph, Kugoo m4pro. Oddly enough, it gets around 28-30 miles of range on a single charge for me in my hilly town too, and that range is just fine for my needs. Honestly, I love my Kugoo, it's been pretty good to me mechanically speaking. It also has the plug n play replacement features for most components (aside from the rear motor, I rly like that on the Emove). All around it's been a great commuter for a budget price (which was only $650 when I bought it a year ago). My only gripe was speed. I got addicted to the rush and wanted to go even faster, like dual motor, 2 stacks money fast!!! A real need for speed. Unfortunately, I am currently working on recovering from injury... again 😭 One at a time, I have broken BOTH LEGS!!! I broke my left in Jan and as soon as I started getting back up on my feet, I broke my right one just the other day here in mid May. Now, something like the Emove is looking more and more appealing. Heck, I might even down grade more. I no longer have that "need for speed" that I spoke of earlier. It's moreso a need to get to my destination safely and in one piece. It's time I start looking at PEVs with a new POV. I really do like the Emove. Thanks for sharing it guys. 👍
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I'll be down for a while. I just can't believe that a scooter crash took me out like this. When I tell doctors the story, they think I'm out here repetitively hurting myself on a kids toy. They have no clue what I mean when I say "Electric Scooter"... It's embarrassing. Both legs have Tibial Plateau fractures but the right leg has a much larger fracture of the Tibia to go with. I been SO BORED! Sitting out of work, at home w my wife (hearing "I told you so" 🙄), pretty much glued to the bed, binge watching crappy TV all day and occasionally helping my kids w HW. 🤔 I have learned that TUBI has A LOT of documentaries about Bigfoot and Aliens for some reason.
Thanks a lot. Yeah it's doable the old way, but way less fun and with the old version I'm always worried I'm going to damage the cable while I'm prying the tire off of the rim and back on. -Paul
I'm at over 12000km on my Cruiser and its continuing to be my main commuter 3 years on. The main pro of this scooter is the support and parts availability, I've ordered multiple replacement parts and accessories over the years and am planning to ride this scooter until the battery dies. Then I'll replace the battery and ride some more! You can literally buy almost every single individual part of this scooter separately. A simple broken part that would cause another scooter to be off the road permanently is a piece of cake for the cruiser. Repair, replace with ease. The level of support from Voromotors should be industry standard. I cannot recommend this scooter enough.
@@ortem000 I'm assuming youre meaning tyres? The front: 0, still has the same tyre as 3 years ago when i bought it, tread is still high too. The rear about 3 times, 2 times were general wear and tear, 1 time was after a nasty huge hole in it due to a nail. In general the rear tyre will require changing more often than the front. I wont lie, theyre really fucking difficult to change if you arent strong enough to work with it. Tubeless is incredibly difficult if you dont have the correct tools, and not bike tools too, you need car tyre spoons like the ones shown in this video. Also, i dont have compressed air to seal the tyre to the rim so i use a car tyre sealant that fills into the air pockets between the tyre and the rim, its like a rubbery liquid that dries quickly. Works well. I still prefer tubeless though, i cant deal with how often you get pinch flats with tubed. Couple months(tubed) vs up to a year with tubeless.
Looks like a great scooter, love the range! I'd like to be able to go a little faster though I've been looking forward to a Solar FF lite video, hopefully you get to it soon
I love mine ! 500kms so far and range is insane ! Regen works great . I am 155lbs so the suspension does not work well for me but I try to stay on smooth roads and bike paths . Replacing the folding handle bars with one piece bars as folders are always loosening .
Out of all the scooters i rode and had/have, the 2021 EMove crusier is my daily driver. Being an experienced rider, i was always hungry for more speed on the empty streets of NYC, But honestly it is the perfect speed and size for long daily comutes back and forth from work through the City safely. Its better safe than sorry. And no lie. The battery performance on this scooter can only be found on high end scooters.
I have to admit, I was originally leaning toward the Roadrunner d4+ 4.0. Since I am a new rider, your reviews have changed my mind and my new Cruiser S will be arriving in 2 days. I was a bit concerned when, after the fact, I saw some reddit groups that were bashing the quality and the customer service at Voromotors. Especially when it came to honoring the warranty. One of the big reasons I have chosen Voromotors is because I have a store/service center within driving distance of my house. However, I am proceeding with positivity and I look forward to enjoying my new purchase. Thank you to you and your team for the useful insight.
Hey what's going on IMdioi. Im Considering buying one as well. How has your experience been so far with your new scooter? The scooter & company has a shit load of horrible reviews so I'm curious to know how things been going with your scooter and it's customer service. What problems have you had with your scooter so far?
@@lexxzusI liked the Cruiser S but I quickly realized that I needed more speed so I sold it. Because of that, I haven’t had to deal with customer service. I then went with a 60V Yume Hawk Pro and Solar FF Lite. They are both great. Solar was better quality than the Yume but I really liked both. Again, I realized that I needed more speed so I sold the Yume and now I have a Nami Burn-E 2 Max which is the best scooter I own. I still insist on buying from a local retailer. Issues arose with the Nami damage from shipping and I drove it myself to the facility for it to be handled.
Hi Paul, I am confused between three options- G2, city pro 2023, and E move cruiser 2023. I would highly appreciate your help. My requirements: - 7.5 miles commute to my office with a total of 15 miles back and forth - should be reliable and strong built - it rains a lot in Boston, so I expect it to be excellent water resistant - should be able to climb hills with comfort - Good customer support and replaceable parts Thanks in advance. God bless you!!
All of them are great scooters, but the City Pro is going to have the advantage when it comes to water resistance and super steep hills. The 2023 version has a larger battery that will meet your range needs. Hard to go wrong with any of the three though. -Paul
Paul, this is probably a silly question, but what about the EMOVE Cruiser S vs. the Apollo Go? They are currently the same price. Probably not the same people buying both, but just thought I'd get your opinion. I purchased my first scooter a few weeks ago, the VMAX VX2 Pro. Great scooter, just no suspension. I was going to upgrade to the VX4 from VMAX, but thought I'd browse around first. Thanks for your great reviews.
Both are good options! Go is dual motor and cruiser is single motor but bigger battery and weighs a little more. Both are excellent options. You can use code RIDERGUIDE for $50 off either scooter!
Looks like they have made some nice updates to an already great scooter. These changes won’t make me upgrade, but, they are great for a possible second scooter for my partner. We need another scooter than can keep up with my Cruiser for long rides without fear of dying halfway through.
i work at a escooter shop and have me one of these one the way i doordash and ubereats on scooters and cant wait to dig in and make some money out of some miles on this thing
Thanks for this amazing review. I just purchased my cruiser s thanks to you and after much research on scooters and other models. Had already hit the button on an inokim Ox but cancelled in time after seeing your review. 🎉
Im stuck between this and the Apollo Go. Will be putting in my car a lot. Doing mostly city and beach town riding when I go on vacation. Definitely want a smooth ride with some oomph and aesthetics and semi important.
Apollo GO for the portability and features and cruiser for the range and larger deck! Both are very solid options. Use code RIDERGUIDE for either to get $50 off
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide ok good to know basically I have $1200-1500 and looking for the top 3 best options with priorities being range, comfortability, speed but no less than 24-25mph. Then portability
Hi Paul, I was hoping to get some feed back on airline travel with a scooter. I have plans on traveling into the South Pacific and plan on scootering around the island ( Guam , CMNI,) I am an intermediate rider and currently ride an Nokim. I have research and spoken with various scooter companies about the effects of Alitude and cold temperature on a battery. Everyone admits it is not harmful and long periods of extreme temperature will definitely effect the life of the battery but also been told short periods may have little to no effect. Any thought RG has would be greatly appreciated. Your review on Voros EMove cruiser has got me sold I plan on purchasing the scooter at there O’ahu store and traveling on from there. Thanks, John
What's a better option for me thinking of buying it for my commute to and from work. Either this or the Solar EQ or Solar P1. What's more important for me as a commuter range, speed, or weight, note im not the biggest or heaviest guy at 5'5 with an average build. Like what should be my main focus buying one of these scooters? I like speed but I also like range and want to be able to go to and from work no worries of it dying on me outside and charge time not take forever too right.
Honestly both are excellent options! Plenty of speed , range and good suspension and are very similar! You can use code RIDERGUIDE10 for 10% off either
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Thanks a lot for your help. Last couple things I'm in Canada does that make any difference in terms of purchasing one of these and which of these scooters I mentioned above including the Cruiser in this video have less maintenance? or is it about the same?
I am going back and forth. I ordered the Cruiser S white and it is on backorder till mid July. But think I want the Wolf Warrior 11Pro + - seems stronger, definitely faster with dual motors, lights are better and comes with bag and tow/foot bar. Also new Warrior 11 Pro + is claiming 90 mile range??....... What do I do? I am scared of all the bolt problems I have heard about the cruiser. Please help. I don't necessarily need for off road but would do if i could. I do love speed. I am also a little over 300lbs and 6'3" why looking at these options. I understand about 1200 price difference and dual motor to single motor. Love your reviews. Even watched Warrior 11 review. Appreciate any feedback you have. Have a great day! Keep up the great videos!
my own experience regarding the build quality: i own the 2021 edition and had a minor accident resulting in needing to replace the front suspension. Unscrewing it was so tough that the screw head actually snapped before it even started to budge. Getting a recessed screw out that had no head because it's secured so tightly is easily one of the biggest pains in the ass i've ever dealt with doing anything DIY related, however it's ironically reassuring knowing that it clearly wasn't going to break in daily use...
Hi again. I am just asking if the new Emove Cruiser S still has that IPX6 water resistance rating. I don't recall you saying anything about a water resistance rating in this video. I might be dumb and its the same for this model, the 2022 and 2019 model. By the way I am a 13 year old looking for a perfect scooter that has a high top speed, a long range to get me to school, and is sold from a good, trustworthy brand. I looked at a lot of your videos and I am a big fan of you, your videos, and electric scooters in general. I unfortunately live like 4 states away and can't do a test ride. I hope your video will show me that this is the perfect scooter for my needs. Thank you again!
Voro is correct. They're 18650's. This was updated on their site after I wrote the review. In the past they were 21700. I'm not sure why the change, but I'm glad they are still LG cells. We've updated this on our website-version of the Cruiser S review. riderguide.com/reviews/emove-cruiser-s-review/ -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thanks for the clarification Paul. I'm going to take an educated guess and say the scooter you reviewed and weighed had 21700 batteries as it was 3lbs lighter than the former Cruiser. Does this mean that weight advantage is now gone since they've switched back to 18650?

Paul, thanks to your extensive review, data and b-rolls for visual comparison (😂) I actually managed to find this exact product in my country that’s sold under an entirely different brand and name (most non mainstream brands are not available here) and you are right, this is « the one » scooter that gets all the job done! Thanks a bunch ❤️
Does it accelerate quicker than the new g2? I have two options and I’m more familiar with the ninebot but I’m looking for something more fun around 800 if there is anything. Something quicker and a little faster.
Yes it does. Under identical conditions the G2 goes from 0 to 15 mph in 4.1 seconds where the Cruiser S gets there in 3.8s. Similarly from 0 to 30 the G2 does it in 7.3s and the Cruiser gets to 30 in 6.2s. For my rider weight of 165lbs, the G2's suspension is a bit softer and more comfortable, but for folks heavier than me they might be close to equal in ride comfort. -Paul
I ride a bicycle, but I'd like to get a scooter that I could carry on the bus. Is this one a bit big & heavy for that? Also, I know that riding on a good bicycle, 30 to 35 MPH feels really fast. It seems that being closer to the ground would feel even more risky, especially if there's pot holes & the like. Do you wear a helmet?
Definitely wear a helmet! This scooter is a little heavy for hopping on and off of busses, but there are other scooters which can do it. Check out the riderguide website and we have a search tool that lets you narrow things down by weight speed, price etc. You definitely need to look ahead while riding a scooter, since potholes are a much bigger deal. Here are my favorite riding tips! -Paul ua-cam.com/video/A-tJUQwwKDE/v-deo.html
Under worst case scenario if you try to blast that at top speed all the time then you’ll achieve a solid range of 40 miles per charge. That’s because I use 1,560Wh then divided it by 39. If you’re burning 39Wh per mile then you’re using a lot of power most likely.
At top speed, I would guess 30 miles or fewer. Range really drops fast when sustaining above 25mph, according to Alex Simon who rode across the USA on various scooters. -Paul
Tried voting for you guys but your system sent me the emails much too late "voting is now closed" thought id mention it so you guys could fine tune it better... 😊
How is the ride comfort compared to the kqi2 pro? I like the kqi2, but I can feel every little bump. The extended range and power are great, but if it also feels better (6' 4" 220lbs) then I might have to make the switch
Hiya buddy. First class review as us usual. Any ideas about an extender for the handlebar stem. I'm 6'4" and I find myself leaning over too much and could do with a rise of about 4" in height Any help would be appreciated. Best wishes, Des
Hi Des! Thank you so much! Yes, i think there may still be an optional handlebar set for the cruiser. We briefly touch on it in our previous review. It's a scary mod because you have to cut off your existing bars, but should get you the desired result (caveat: we never tried it because we need to keep it stock for future videos) -Paul I've linked to that part of the video below: ua-cam.com/video/0rNDFqKoSkY/v-deo.html
Quick question. Haven’t seen anyone asking this, so thought I’d ask. Is it possible to have two people on this scooter while riding? Given the weight load capacity, I was wondering if this would be able to accommodate two people while riding, kinda like when two people ride a motorcycle, one driving and the other holding onto the other person. Can this be tested? Thanks.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide sweet then ill prob get it. I need something better than the ride1up 500 ebike, but i dont want to spend thousands to get 10 or 20 more miles on a single charge
While I ended up here from Reddit users discussing a 30 mile commute to work, I am trying to imagine using this scooter for my 22 mile commute and simply cannot imagine doing the entire commute on a scooter. There's just too many hills, too many intersections, too much construction, too many potholes, too low a speed limit on the intermittently available bike paths and I'd basically have to be standing the entire time. I just cannot fathom a 30 mile commute on a scooter... wow
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide As I have just over 50 miles on my Swagger 5, though I've had is slightly less than one month, the rear fender has broken and that ripped the brake light cable off. I can buy a replacement fender but it doesn't come with a light or wire. It now slings muddy water all up my leg. The hills here in my city brought its overall mileage range down to 4 miles. Your video was insightful and that will be my next scooter. THANK YOU!
Hey dude. It only goes 22 mph because of regulations. To get it to the 33 mph advertised speed, you have to unscrew the front U deck (4 screws on the front, 2 screws on the side) and then you have to disconnect a big black wire which connects both a small black wire and a white wire to it. This is the speed limiter which limits the speed to 22 mph. It's deep in the middle section so you have to dig out the wires a little bit. It takes some effort if you want that full speed. I couldn't find any info online about it so I'm posting this here for you. Voro motors did NOT make this process easy.
What's your opinion on this scooter vs the Apollo City Pro? I originally wanted to get the City Pro, but this seems like an upgrade in almost every way for the same price. But a few downsides I can think of being: a less premium look, more cables around everywhere, no Bluetooth app, etc. Is there some things you think each is better for?
Hi, I'm looking to get an E-scooter and I'm stuck between the Kukirin G3 Pro (Speed: 42mph / Range: 50 miles) and the EMOVE Cruiser S. My deciding factor is based of the speed and range of each scooter, so overall, which would you recommend. And also, on VoroMotors website, they stated that the range for the EMOVE Cruiser S is actually 62 miles, but you said it's around 44 miles which is about 19 miles less. Since you've tested it, would you say that spec is not accurate? Seeing as that was also one of the things that made interested in it to begin with. Thanks in advance for your reply.
During your testing were you able to attain the 33mph top speed? I’m 155 lbs and have tried reaching it on flat terrain but the highest I’ve been getting is 27mph on a full charge and after 20 seconds of full throttle, not sure if i should reach out to customer service. I just got it straight from their LA store 2 days ago and I want to be able to keep up with road traffic.
I did about 2000 miles on my old ninebot es2. Front wheel is now bald, brake is sticking, rear mudguard broke off 2 years ago, despite regular tightening of the bolts, the stem is now barely attached to the deck because of now oval mounting holes, the battery also has a dead cell so I was lacking power and range. To top it all off it now developed a communication error between the control board and the dash which showed me that it is finally time to retire the old one. I always wanted a little more power but I also wanted WAY more range simply to be able to go around town without taking breaks to recharge the darn thing. Living at the top of an apartment complex it also need to be light enough. The emove cruiser S checks all my boxes 🎉 I actually already ordered one and it should be there next Monday, I simply can't wait!
Impressive for a single hub. That controller really makes a difference but please don't knock entry level scoots. I've had both entry and mid range as well as expensive.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide No worries, goes along the lines of calling someone a peasant like pc gamers used to do.. and not everyone can afford to spend a grand or more on a mid level scoot. Thanks Paul!
It's almost perfect. If it had fatter/bigger tires and a slightly faster take off and even 10mph+, it would be the perfect (non off road) scooter. I use it daily. Super light. I go to the grocery store. Fold it. Put it under the cart, easy to handle. Can't do that with big scooters and locking them doesn't really mean they are safe... 40/45mph Fat tires Faster takeoff One day...
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuidefair enough I only ask because the speedway V is basically a suped up Cruiser with a smaller 24ah battery, love the work you guys are doing I just picked the speedway up for an insane £400 with only 500 miles on it.

Hello, i would like to talk about scooter thats called " beaster scooter bs11" (dual motor). I've been dreaming for it a lot, and all the reviews of that scooter is in lithuania language, and they dont explain about it that much, as much as yall do, like the real speed and the real range, I'm eberrassed to ask for it and Ya'll probably wont do it, but if ya'll could, I very please to ya'll to test it, i would like to know real range, real speed and other etc things. Esg was the only channel to give a real world number when it came to range and weight of the cruiser. I checked myself, it’s 59lbs (2021 model) and the range is 45-48 miles real world riding.
So great to hear that our numbers agree! Thanks for letting us know! -Paul
Im at 5000 miles on my 2021 Cruiser. I’m planning to get the thumb throttle and sine wave controller this summer. Nice to see the cruiser maintain its place as one of the best single motor scooters!
Awesome! Glad you are enjoying. -Vosk
Oh, the upgrade! That would have been good to mention in the video. There is always so much to cover! -Paul
Do it!!!! It is a much better and quiet riding experience!! also you can ride for a few more miles with the more efficient controller. ❤
I go to check the return/refund policy for the 1300 dollar scooter after taxes and shipping fees and there basically isn’t one I’ll only get store credit or a damn gift card and they’ll get a scooter to resell PEOPLE PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID😒
If your scooter had an issue contact the dealer and they will assist you in the repair!

Great choice.
hey just wondering. How is your experience with the scooter now?
Thanks for the feedback!
Lol
195lb guy and all i get is 30mph on nyc streets. But 30mph is GOOD enough for me!
The emove is a BOSS and it rocks be prepared and ready for a wild ride on sport mode.
Awesome! Glad you like your cruiser. -Vosk
What’s kind of range you get? I’m also from nyc, I ride an Apollo explore but I’m looking to buy a scooter with more range
Very insightful! Thanks for sharing. -Vosk
Bought a brand new cruiser S last week and was surprised at the amount of stem wobble even after I tightened all of the lose screws. Quite rattley to even on concrete paths, am hoping the suspension beds in and i get a smoother ride. Plus side it's super responsive and powerful.
That's not a good sign
Any better since you got it?
ok am back and I got to tell you awesome ,am so impressed ,I got my cruiser for Xmas from my wife and it's been a blast , I charged it once at Christmas and took it for a bunch of rides until June and it was still at 50 percent ,then I just got back from NYC ,and that was incredible adventure ,then road down to my boat for the 3rd then road over to my friends a town over for a party and back home then took it again on the 4th back to the lake for fireworks and still have 50 volts , hills no problem ,just everything about the scooter is awesome ,just wish it had a regen brake ,just get a helmet and a couple bike lights for it at night and have fun ,and get the shipping insurance ,and you will not be disappointed , it's a blast and incredible the distance you can go with the biggest smile you can have !
I have put about 4,000 miles on my 2020 cruiser, I recently upgraded the motor on it to the faster more powerful one and it was surprisingly easy to do. changing the tire was harder than upgrading the motor haha. It has held up great and I use it to get around places that I dont need to drive to

Motor? Got a link? Thanks
@@209rc7hey sorry for the late response, I believe I just got it from voromotors. I like that its design is a nice balance between attractive and functional. That they didn't try to embed the handlebar controls, frontward torch, or other peripheral components into the body makes it much easier to accessorize at a later time without something looking goofy or out of place.
Great insight! Thanks! -Paul
I recently installed the sine wave controller and updated motor in my Cruiser. They were warranty replacements. I essentially have the S and can attest to the difference in power acceleration.
Good info , did you lose any range?
@@Leo-iq1le I haven't noticed a decrease in range yet but that could be due to the fact that I take it out for 10-15 miles at time.

I hope you meant “explanation.”

Awesome! Good luck with that. -Vosk

Very insightful! Thanks for sharing. -Vosk

Thanks so much Jarret! My wife definitely agrees with you about how much work (more than she thinks I should) we put into this! -Paul

You bet!
I'm at 956 miles so far almost been a year! Without the best scooter out there! The only thing I would of recommend is a new display screen like the wolf king gt, and brighter break light. Eitherway the EMOVE Cruiser is a perfect example 10 out of 10!
Thanks for letting us know how it's going with your Cruiser. We love hearing first-hand accounts from owners! -Paul
You need that break light because it will break guaranteed
-Paul
Do you think $1000 is a good deal for the 2019 Cruiser S. Bought in 2022 with 500 miles on it
@@newestclips6882 that's a bit high.
Thanks so much! We have a Light 2 here. The low deck is fun and makes it easy to kick if you run out of battery. -Paul

Finally got one after a year of saving and I’m so glad I did! Amazing review and yall nail it everytime!
So glad to hear you love it!
Great to hear! Things move quickly in the scooter industry. I may come back and edit that section out all together! -Paul
It’s a great scooter! Enjoy

Unfortunately, I am currently working on recovering from injury... again 😭
One at a time, I have broken BOTH LEGS!!!

Wow! I love hearing from riders who have really put a ton of miles on. 12k km is impressive. I love that you plan to keep it going forever! -Paul
Out of curiosity, how many times have you had to replace the wheels and what was that experience like for you?
I'd like to be able to go a little faster though
I've been looking forward to a Solar FF lite video, hopefully you get to it soon

I love mine ! 500kms so far and range is insane ! Regen works great . I am 155lbs so the suspension does not work well for me but I try to stay on smooth roads and bike paths . Replacing the folding handle bars with one piece bars as folders are always loosening .
It's a little firm for me at 165lbs too. With suspension that's a little stiff, the harder I ride the scooter, the better it feels though

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide And it does corner well at speed !
Folding handlebars are so last decade :P
Folding handlebars are a must have for people who commute using public transit.
Out of all the scooters i rode and had/have, the 2021 EMove crusier is my daily driver. Being an experienced rider, i was always hungry for more speed on the empty streets of NYC,
But honestly it is the perfect speed and size for long daily comutes back and forth from work through the City safely. Its better safe than sorry.
And no lie. The battery performance on this scooter can only be found on high end scooters.
Thanks for commenting! Great to hear about your first hand experience as an owner! -Paul
Awesome! Enjoy your new ride. -Vosk
My requirements:
- 7.5 miles commute to my office with a total of 15 miles back and forth
- should be reliable and strong built
- it rains a lot in Boston, so I expect it to be excellent water resistant
- should be able to climb hills with comfort
- Good customer support and replaceable parts
Thanks in advance. God bless you!!
All of them are great scooters, but the City Pro is going to have the advantage when it comes to water resistance and super steep hills. The 2023 version has a larger battery that will meet your range needs. Hard to go wrong with any of the three though. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thank you so much, Paul.

Thanks,

We don’t have any opinions on airplane but the cruiser is an excellent scooter for sure.
I like speed but I also like range and want to be able to go to and from work no worries of it dying on me outside and charge time not take forever too right.

my own experience regarding the build quality: i own the 2021 edition and had a minor accident resulting in needing to replace the front suspension.
Thanks for sharing your story. As a mechanic, I can relate. Sometimes DIY can really go off in a different direction than you thought. -Paul
Perhaps too much loctite was applied!

Also, I wonder if they will ever come out with a dual-motor Emove Cruiser. Then you would truly never need another scooter again!
Should be on their site! It’s a solid scooter for sure!
@GaleDuncan
A dual motor gets heavier & shorter range!Unless bigger battery in it.
I got the original Segway ninebot max, the app updated and it now has zero start
Voro states the batteries are 18650, not 21700 as you stated. Which is it?
Voro is correct. They're 18650's. This was updated on their site after I wrote the review. In the past they were 21700. I'm not sure why the change, but I'm glad they are still LG cells. We've updated this on our website-version of the Cruiser S review.

The Varla Eagle One is currently on sale for $1350(shipped to door). I would say the Varla is a much better deal.

Hi. Does it have a smartphone (android) app where I can limit the top speed?
Regulations here in Denmark allow max speed of 12 mph
It does not sorry
In Europe this scooter have name HD Energy 4 Long Range and use little bigger capacity - 31,5Ah and also came with real leather grips + fast charger 5A instead of 2A. The price also are cheaper - 949$ + tax
Be carefull! Dont use that grips without gloves 😢 they have overrated of PAH which means you are more likely to get c*ncer through skin absorption. Another manufacturer of this scooter base in Europe uses leather grips specifically because they exceed the standard by over 1000% in PAH tests!

Glad it was helpful!

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Thanks. That rider guide is very informative. I'm glad you gave me more ideas on what to research before I buy.
I read in another review it is too short for riders over 6-0 tall. Your thoughts?
6ft you will be absolutely fine! -Vosk
6'2" ?? Thanks

Can I buy the Cruiser S controller and install it in my Speedway III? These scooters look very similar
We would not suggest that! Most controllers are wired for exact scooters.
How is the ride comfort compared to the kqi2 pro? I like the kqi2, but I can feel every little bump. The extended range and power are great, but if it also feels better (6' 4" 220lbs) then I might have to make the switch
Cruiser S is a better overall scooter!
I had the kqi2 pro and there’s no way the NIU can beat this EMOVE cruiser in any way, The range of this scooter is insane!
The only thing I wish it had was a detachable battery so I could charge it :(
Hopefully one day! -Vosk
Thanks.
Not recommended 2 people at same time!
Yeah, probably not the best idea, but just a thought, thanks! @@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
This one is definitely a much better choice than the Ninebot Max G2.
I'm the type of guy to ride 15-20 mph. So how much range would the scooter have at a slower speed?
Prob close to 50 miles!
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide sweet then ill prob get it. I need something better than the ride1up 500 ebike, but i dont want to spend thousands to get 10 or 20 more miles on a single charge
Love my emove! I cannot find info on how to remove or cut the wire to the speed limiter to the EMOVE CRUISER. Plenty on other brands.
What top speed are you getting?
Hey have you figured this out yet?
While I ended up here from Reddit users discussing a 30 mile commute to work, I am trying to imagine using this scooter for my 22 mile commute and simply cannot imagine doing the entire commute on a scooter. There's just too many hills, too many intersections, too much construction, too many potholes, too low a speed limit on the intermittently available bike paths and I'd basically have to be standing the entire time.
I just cannot fathom a 30 mile commute on a scooter... wow
Thank you for the super in depth review and LITERALLY calling out and dissing my current scooter by name. I have learned much from you today.
Thanks! Sorry to bag on your scooter!
I’ve ridden 86 miles on a scooter in one-go before. It weighed three times as much as this one though. -Paul
THANK YOU!
Mine only goes 22 mph. I can't figure out how to get it to go faster. Voro support was not any help either
Contact CS and they will give you instructions!
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuideHey ESG! Who is CS? I want to contact them to ask this same question!
Apollo City Pro
Pros
Sleek look, zippy acceleration, app , dedicated regen brake
Cruiser
Pros
Long deck , huge battery , weighs less

Ordered to replace original Ninebot Max
Yep me too! My ninebot max only does like 7 miles it’s a pile of wank
