What a wonderful Christmas party it was! Helena Bonham Carter, Vanessa Redgrave, Sheila Hancock and Simon Callow all in the same room!! Never have I partied in such literary surroundings or company! And then I’m stopped and recognised in Belgravia by the most famous of A list hairstylists!! I hope you are enjoying these vlogmas videos as much as I am making them! Hi Jo. It’s lovely to see you more than just once a week on a Sunday. Do you know, it’s hard to believe that the U.K. is in the midst of an economic tailspin when you show us the magnificent shop windows and the Christmas decor of the London streets. I’m happy though that all the wonders of the festive season are still apparent in spite of the fact that so many of us will just be ‘window shopping’- it brings us some joy in these troubled times. ❤️🎄🥰
Jo, My hubby Norman’s first job was at the London Library in 1967 - 1972, before we met, and he absolutely loved the place. So fascinating to see you in the Reading Room at the party there. Brought lots of memories back for him, many famous writers and celebrities were always wandering in and out, and he was quite star struck!

Hi Jo, great vlogmas. Sam McKnight’s ‘Cool Girl’ volumising spray is a miracle worker. I’ve got fine hair & impossible to get any volume going after washing. Can highly recommend. A tip .. lift up sections of yr hair and spray close to roots to get max vol. xx

Oh wow, this was so much fun I might have to rewind and watch again. And watching Myrtle is worth the price of admission as my mom used to say. I am so enjoying your taking us around London for Christmas. I went there many years ago as a young woman, and it was so magical at Christmas. I appreciated your taking us to the library. It seems odd that Helena Bonham Carter is part of the library, as she doesn't seem like the type to be a nice, quiet reading person. But I'm sure she brings a fun crowd. And the reading of Dickens, how special! What a treat for those of us who cannot fly there for Christmas!
