- Magic is one of the most useful skills in the game for all areas; combat, skilling and general utility. To unlock its full potential you need access to all the spell books in the game, so today, we're going to work on unlocking the Lunar Spellbook. Along the way we'll work on various other upgrades - from imbuing our berserker ring, to unlocking the Helm of Neitiznot (our best in slot helmet for the time being). As usual, we'll also complete a few diary tasks and skilling levels throughout the journey.

Hey everyone, welcome to my channel. I've been playing Old School Runescape for years and I'm looking for a new challenge...so I'm making an Ironman!
The goal is to do all kinds of skilling, PVM, bossing and collection log completionist content to experience more of the game and build the best maxed ironman that I can.
This ironman series is to document my journey and hopefully have some awesome moments to look back on in the future to see how much progress I've made.

Recently found and caught up with this series after your Tempoross solo guide, which was very helpful! Really enjoy the content and watching you progress! I do love the normal spell book, the usefulness of the teleports and familiarity I have with it is hard to match. I'd like to spend more time on the Arceuus spell book though, especially now I have a nearly maxed PoH. Thralls are so nice too. Keep up the good work.
Hey Kieran, glad the Tempoross guide was helpful and awesome to hear you stuck around to catch up on the Ironman series, really appreciate the support. I think the standard spellbook always has that advantage of nostalgia to it, your first combat spells, first teleport etc. Hard to look past it. Yea the Arceus spellbook has someinstances where it really shines but haven't dabbled much myself. Thanks again for the support mate.

hey once the special seeds are planted can they stay there for ever and still have the buff, or do you need to pick and re-grow them???
Hey Toby, unfortunately, they don't last forever. The effect will typically last around 3.5 days, and then a new seed will need to be planted. So if you want the effect for a specific batch of crops then you'll have to do a small bit of planning. You can grow and fight 1 hespori every one to two days, assuming you have the seeds banked.
In saying that, I don't personally think the buffs are the biggest deal in the world. They're more of a 'nice to have' than anything.
Man im just winging it on my ironman i always watch vids but i just kinda play and do whatever i think is fun at the time lol
That's the best way to play tbh. Unless you have a set goal you're working towards, then just do whatever you feel like in the moment. Videos are good for giving you some ideas of content to try but they're not the be all and end all. Thanks for checking out my vids though, appreciate it!

Yea for for the most part, I've followed it. I've deviated here and there and will continue to do so as the account progresses. Especially later on with some of the massive grinds (Sepulchre comes to mind). I don't plan to do them in one hit, and it'll fall back to being more of a big picture guideline.

Normal spellbook is nice, teleports and high alchs helps my ironboi
Yea, the OG is always a good place to start. The first time you unlock a teleport is life changing haha.
yea nah.... The superlative is my gripe; sure important af but.... I think making the account is the most important bit... Lunar has some weird shit within tho :D
Making the account is pretty damn important, but then you've got to upgrade it haha! Yea, there's some really random stuff in lunar mixed in with some of the most powerful spells in the game, like vengeance.
not taking range switch for hespori is a big mistake, you loose a lot of time killing those plants with melee and take lots of damage during that time.
Should of bringed darts to get rid of flowers, tank legs and dhide top and you would of been fine
Also 7:07 if you didnt know then for example upon being aggrod my multiple targets (more than 4) on the same tick (or off tick doesnt really matter?) it only shows you 4 hitsplashes even thought you did get hit by 5th or 6th
Yuuup, pretty much instant karma for being too lazy to get some darts with how quickly I got smacked. Will try the mix of tank legs/dhide top next time.
I assumed there was some specific mechanic there but didn't know what it was so thanks for explaining that. I thought maybe it would prioritise showing the hitsplats that did damage. I know there's a heap of trolls in that cave but didn't realise I was being hit by so many, thought the guards were tanking a few more. 😅
