Some relatives of mine live in Vancouver island, and we love beach fishing right outside the beachhouse. Catch plenty of bullhead, and a salmon every now and then.

If you get to the island, just take the Ocean Route pretty much anywhere north of Parksville. They are absolutely spoiled for beach-fishing spots between Parksville and Campbell River. Tight lines!

Yes, it was this year. Thanks to the work of hatcheries there is a pink run every year on this part of the island, not just odd years. Tight lines!
