  • Disclaimer: I am not a professional, and this wing is not meant for flight- only kiting practice. Do not try this at home!
I tore a hole in my kiting wing during a ridiculously high gust, and since I like being able to afford groceries I went for a self repair. It turned out really good! Makes me respect the effort (and cost) or professional repair shops.

Looked like a smart way to go about it, I wouldn't hesitate to follow the Avery Seam Repair method on my practice wing.

Aww, thanks 🥰 I just kited it 2 days ago in similar 20 gust 30 conditions that caused the original damage and it held up fine

Great thumbnail, haha! I wonder how much B loading would be required to do the same to a wing intended for flight? Great fix!

Something tells me it would be about the same likelihood of damage, bigger surface area would have a lot more pull and if you pulled only one B like I did, I bet it'd still rip

Well if it's only for kiting and it holds and works then I'd say it's a win
