That trail you did in the first 5 min of the video was the last part of the trail and they added a lot of berms making it really nice and flowy. You’re the first person to get it on UA-cam! It’s my fav part of the trail always has me looking forward to the end. Sadly those people had you slow your speed a bit :(
Cool Amelia is really good for cardio and get your stamina going. You should go markham next. Thats my home trail and you will enjoy it. Fyi, it required a memberships
Hey man, thank you. I’ve been to Markham a few times already, learning the trails before I make any videos on them. Hopefully in the near future we’ll have something.
Jean, so good that you quit when you felt the heat and exhaustion... I've seen a person almost die from heat stroke ... it can be deadly and have a long-lasting impact> Heat stroke is the most serious heat-related illness. It occurs when the body becomes unable to control its temperature: the body's temperature rises rapidly, the sweating mechanism fails, and the body is unable to cool down. Body temperature may rise to 106°F or higher within 10 to 15 minutes ... Now I always carry extra water when I ride in high temperature conditions.
Hi PdBike, yes exactly! I used to be a medic in the ARMY and we treated soldiers with heat injuries all the time! It's constantly on my mind when it's super hot! Thank you for sharing those facts though, hopefully people find it useful! HYDRATE AND COOL DOWN!
I was there a few weeks ago, I didn't know there were snakes there. I loved the park but I kinda don't want to go back after seeing that snake at 0:17 haha edit: are people allowed on the trails? (4:30)
Lol to be fair there are snakes all over south Florida And I’ve seen plenty at Virginia Key. I’ve just never almost ran one over. As for people, I’ve seen trail runners at all the parks. Usually just one or 2 folks, and they’re usually very friendly and get out of the way as soon as possible.
@@JEANMTB I ran into a black snake at Markham, I noticed it on the side of the trail and quickly went back into the woods. I’m terrified of snakes haha
Personally, I like each tail in SFL for their own unique thing. I ride VK most of the time but sometimes If I just want a more XC ride. I go to Amelia. Sometimes I want rooty jank and I go to oleta. I’m just happy that we have so many trails!
“I’m running out of fuel and confidence” LMAO GOLD. I feel this every time I hit those advice trails there.
Lol, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I can’t wait to go back and give it another go.
LMAO that Razorback always gets people. I remember my first time, I almost threw up lol.
Lol yes, it also didn’t help that it was super hot!!! But I do look forward to hitting that trail again, and it’s killer climbs!!!

I really loved those trails! Yeah, people on the trails can be a thing, but honestly they were super nice and on top of that Im SLOOOOOOWWW lol
Great! I didn't know about Amelia park and I will definitely try it out
Hope you like it!
I love that trail. I haven't been down there in a while. Thanks for the fresh view Jean!
Amelia really is a hidden gem and they seem to be working on it a lot now. I honestly can’t wait to ride it I. The other direction come the new year!
Great content keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
I ride there a couple times a week during my lunch breaks. I know your pain on that back side. Feels like it is up hill both ways!
Haha, that's a good way to put it! The climbs just don't seem to run out!
Lol, the snake, pretty cool.
:o
Just rewatched this old video, omg, the bike was so creaky!
My dear, very videos and meaning! Wish you a lot of health and appointment to video! 💞
thank you!

I have a lot of fun here and find the advanced to not be as wild as Virginia for beginners. Plus they reverse the trails every so often
True it’s definitely less “extreme” but still challenging in its own way. I can’t wait to go back when the trails are reversed.
Haha yeah if you go mid day when there are no other riders hella iguanas and snakes out trying to warm up in the sun
I was not prepared for the amount of wildlife, gonna have to bring my camera next time!
They actually switched the trail direction so you are doing everything backwards. But then they will switch back in a couple months.
I think i saw that on insta, definitely going to go back when they flip it back!
Can a beginner go try this trail?
Hey, late reply on this one, but definitely, Amelia has plenty of green trails that you can practice on before tackling the black diamond trails!

Same here, they’re creepy. But we’re in their home when we’re on the trails.
Seriously, what are doing walking on a mountain bike trail, did they run out of space to walk on the planet?
There's always a few
Trail has no flow and is boring now that you have to ride it backward. You will get bored easily. Markham and VK are light years better

@@JEANMTB good point
I rode there for the first time with a brand new bike this past Saturday. Had a blast and heading back this Saturday.
Nice! Congrats on the new bike too! I’m firing to go back. I know I didn’t hit everything. Gotta go in the afternoon though.
