Can't really blame them tbh, one time GF try be creative with making BW, but back there people doesn't like those creativity and prefered something that Nostalgic, so know GF stop creative and just sell "Nostalgic" thing
Two things that would make completing sets more easier: 1) Double the amount of pack points earned from 5 to 10. That's 600 points per month, 900 with the premium pass. 2) Extra star cards can be be exchanged for pack points at 50% their market value. Of course, players must own more than two copies of a star card in order to exchange it.
It may be because these last 2 PVP events are the first of the game's life, but simply playing the game in a different queue to track your wins doesn't really feel special enough to warrant the title of "Event". I think something along the lines of Hearthstone's Tavern Brawls would suit this game a lot more nicely. A game mode where the rules are constantly changing and allowing players of all skill levels and investment levels to use their cards in fun ways would be a great way to get folks to use the app for longer than the minute it takes to open a pack.

You'd pick a single deck and would have to beat the 4 elite four members using just that deck, with no ability to swap anything out and then beat the champion afterwards using the same deck. Failing to win on any member would mean starting again from 1st battle or the 5 total. They could introduce a harder version of the challenge for better rewards where you can't make a deck, and pre-made ones are what you have to use for it. And I hope they do less win steak events for multiplayer in a game like this. With things like initial draws or going first causing you to lose. Though for multiplayer I'd love to see an event based around no EX Pokémon.
Yeah, I think they make great mini events for sure, they have their place, and are better for casual play, especially as mementos, but I feel like a big comp event is needed where winners are few and far in between, but awarded with a special promo card tied to the event or something. Idk, maybe they have something bigger planned.
