i just got the original aliens queen and oh boy its just majestic. fingers crossed they released the avp queen so i can display them side by side.

Avp extinction could also be a good reference for ideas (pred Alien queen, ravager, carrier, ect).

what we really need is a red repaint for every single alien figure for the aliens genocide.
A great version for those who missed out on the "Aliens" version, the stand looks a bit better too, great review as always!
I must’ve watched your review 20 times before i got this literal queen, she is definitely one of the best figures i have ever purchased, could have had more downward motion in the head to accommodate the spikes but in the high and mighty pose she is in i havent had many issues. Thanks spot, i watch your reviews before i buy anything anymore

Another wonderful review of an amazing figure! I still have the original queen in her box and am considering picking this one up to add to my collection. Some people did not care for the blue color and brass high-lights, but I loved it. In the end, its all about personal taste, and in ny humble opinion, Neca is simply magical when it comes to figures and toys.
Looks amazing… I wish it was more shiny bluish black, though… instead of this silly brown, then it would be much more realistic like the movie… I will be repainting mine to a shiny black to make it more movie accurate

I never got around to grabbing the original Queen when she was 1st released. Though I came across her several times, I just didn't have the space. Recently, I was fortunate enough to find someone selling a case fresh one, for a great price and grabbed it! I still don't really have the space, but I'm glad I finally own her!

They should have had this as the top half sitting with the big pregnant belly (custom builders, over to you) But yea, this is just the original Queen release repainted. Deffo not worth a second buy.

Just so you people know, NECA went soft with Quality Control on the queen. Mine came with two different left hands and a half snapped tail, prob due to high temperatures in summer which melted the plastic and broke it.
Also, the glossy resin she's covered with gets dry real, fast and starts falling.

I just got this on eBay for a decent price. It looks fantastic, like a giant living insect. I prefer the brown color over the blue original. I don't think the queen was actually blue in Aliens. It was the lighting in the ship reflecting off her. When she fell down the shaft before being ejected she looked dark grey or black. I don't know, this color just looks more natural either way.

AVP is a good movie. And of course, MUCH better than the sequel. It would have been better with the R.
BTW, I wish we could see the King Alien in the movies in the future. Like how the aliens of Species had the male alien in the sequel.
...not making the King Alien a recurring character, because the Queen is the definitive foe in the Alien movies but still. To show what the King Alien looks like.
Just bought mine recently at Target and had a buddy who hooked me up so I was able to get a rerelease of the original Aliens Queen and so happy to have it!

@@robdcollector2808 eh, not that bad. I got the red queen mother. then it fell from a 7 foot shelf. Didn't break, but the stand did.
Great video and missed getting this queen when it came out. I have two of the McFarlane Aliens queen but one of each arms falls off. I wish it had a taller stand. Hahah
It is impressive, the next one will make a video where you show more or less of the figure of the Neca queen alien ressurreaction and neca queen alien from aliens
I really like looking at other figures and trying to find matching molds, for example the Queen uses the same tail mold as the Snake alien which really surprised me when I found that out
Well actually the snake alien uses the queens tail cause she came first
love that squeaky sound of the joints. mine's lose as hell.
This is probably the same mold of the figure itself, but with different paint jobs. Also, excellent review. Thank you, always worth watching.

$100? Good luck finding one for that price that isn't a scam. I just bought a loose one with no box and missing stand for $165, and that was after searching daily for months.
*edit: Whoops! Just realised I'm thinking of the blue one, this is the brown one which can be found cheaper.

@@agentghost3234 Mercari, unfortunately they go *very* fast! So you have to check multiple times a day for as long as it takes. Even the one I purchased that I described in my comment, later that day the seller messaged me saying "sorry I already sold it." And I got refunded. So I still don't have one.

The neca aliens queen is too blue, the genocide queen is red, this ressurection queen has the perfect look.

I've never liked the idea of having a clear stand. Yes it's "clear" but not clear enough.. i've always thought they take away from the figure, they're too noticeable.. i'd much rather get some fishing line and do something that way..
Yeah I hear ya, clear is the best we can get when it comes to a post but it does stand out when you see it holding up the Alien queen on the shelf

Currently trying to get my hands on a Queen, lost out on afew bids on ebay..
Some are pre-orders, so NECA seems to be re-releasing the Queen at some point..
Shame that all of the "Buy it now" options are currently at over £250.. which i think is a bit too much, i'm not sure.
So fingers crossed i can pick a Queen up for a decent price.
Not sure what it is, but some of the Queens out there look REALLY Blue compared to your other review on the Aliens deluxe Queen.

The whole head is supposed to be able to rotate down as well but the swivel hinge is usually so stiff that it might as well be fused.

I hope you do a review of NECA's new 1/4 Alien Big Chap that is currently shipping out. The big difference appears to be the head dome is clearer and shows more detail inside the head.
though it's not accurate, but i think i keep the mcfarlane one for the brown-ish look, since i already have the previous neca alien queen. anyway, as always a great review Spot 👍

That queen looks like the same color as the Xenomorphs In Aliens: Armageddon.
I had the last release and had to return it. After a few weeks the back legs started to do the splits and wouldn't stand upright, so this is a easy pass.
The Queen Alien is my favorite. Of the aliens. A female that rules her hive. A bad a mama that Hutson calls her. In Aliens.

I had the blue version from this i really liked it i had it in my studio for afew years hardly played with then i picked it up and the back spikes broke the from tiny arm broke at the joint. i like aliens but what ever neca uses fo plastic is really bad silmaliar thing have happened with other neca figures i got in the past. i never have any issues like that with Hasbro, Todd mcfarlens, tarkara, mmc etc

I usually have good things to say about NECA figurines but this one is just laziness on their part. The only part of the queen we got in Resurrection was at the climax when the ovipositor mutated into the womb, its main arms had been "clipped" and yada yada yada! I'll look forward to NECA releasing an Ultimate version of the resurrection queen in its screen accurate form. Plus... The tendons on each side of its mouth were not present in the film so NECA should consider modifying. 🤔🤨
