Really good, descriptive steps to disassemble a 7490. It' deserves a golden cigar.
Haha thanks! A like and subscribe will do. A small contribution to the channel would also be great. :P
Thank You for this VIDEO!
Glad it helped. If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos and possibly consider watching a few others and commenting to get the algorithm to recommend my channel. Thanks!
Thank you a lot, this video helped me to save as much as could be after spreading tea on my laptop. The explanations are very clear !
Awesome
Thank you for the great video! My 7490 had 3-cell battery which is about 1/3 shorter than 4-cell and does not have right "ear" to screw it on to the board and those cheapskates from DELL did not include additional screw. Your video also helped me to understand that battery cable is not included and i have to reuse existing one. Battery cable is never included - it is an item ordered separately.
Yup! Glad it helped. If you haven't already, please like and subscribe to help others find my videos. Thanks!

I found this site www.parts-people.com/service-tag-lookup.html
which helps to locate parts for the laptops.
Here's aforementioned battery cable:

@@danethorson7992 awesome!
Awesome. I didn't have to take mine apart to have a look inside. I was wondering if it had two hard drive slots and it appears that it does not, so I'll just have to get a bigger hard drive and partition it for dual boot. What type of drive would you recommend if I want to upgrade to 1TB? I was wondering if you can give a brief explanation as to why it has RAID support if it only uses one drive? I haven't been keeping up with the technology for a bit so I'm a bit behind with capabilities here. I thought RAID required two drives. Under the 'drives' menu in the BIOS it has check boxes listed 'SATA-2' and 'M.2 PCIe SSID-0', so I was guessing it only supports one drive but wondering why it has two options?
I'm not exactly sure if it supports m.2 pcie nvme, but if it does, this is great amzn.to/3cN5i0M
If only SATA, this is good.
amzn.to/3ShYitk
I'm not sure why it has raid to be honest lol maybe just so they don't have to rewrite bios software.
@@ItsBinhRepaired That makes sense, it would be an easy place to cut costs. Thanks heaps for the reply.
Yup
So, is it support the NVMe or not?
All I know is in the video. If it's not in there either no, or I don't know.
I shorted the CMOS battery connector and upon reassembling the HDMI had stopped working. I dont even have Admin rights to the laptop. What should I do?
No idea how shorting cmos messes up the hdmi
@@ItsBinhRepaired No worries. Thanks for the reply
