Usually don't like actress from the silent film era, the hair and makeup its too weird (lady gagish ), ironic how timeless the beauty of this woman is portraying a poor barefooted woman with no stylish hair or excessive make up mascara.

When I saw the Joker trailer I felt it was similar to Modern times music. Then I did some research and found it IS the same music. Modern Times is a wonderful movie which I saw as a kid a 100 times and this music always stayed with me.
