Not the maldhound content I expected but I’m here for it.
I enjoyed the fallout set because it gave me more convoluted and downright stupid scenarios that can be obtained.
Example: making a dog in power armor, wearing bilbo's ring, 2 different sets of boots, carrying 5 different swords and a giant ass hammer, win by not attacking but by chucking a throwing knife at somebody. Its such a stupid mental image and i think its hilarious

It's an atrocity that Colonel Autumn's flavor text (which wasn't there) didn't just say "You again"
It makes sense that Colonel Autumn goes Aristocrats. All he does in the game is die with depressing ease. (To be fair, the idea is that he's the only mandatory fight in the game and thus has to be winnable for someone with no combat skills by either in-game or "skill issue" definitions.)
Legate Lanius is indeed flavor: he's playing on the literal definition of "decimate". I love it for that reason but it indeed really is just going to be one. By the way, it rounds up so you'll definitely get the one. Losing 2 creatures if you already have 11 is still nothing. You're still going to die.
The one thing that the fallout set got wrong was the mossfire valley card should’ve been called The Pitt, so that says a lot about the designers of the cards for this set.
I think Gavin Verhey made a video about this. These are capping off a cycle that was started a long time ago, so they didn't want to shoot themselves in the foot like with stuff like Raffine's lounge and the other new capenna triomes
I just realised Ian the Reckless has 6 fingers on his left hand in that artwork, but before my brain goes full "AI?????" mode, it's a Fallout character, maybe his lore says he has an extra finger, I don't know.
I am not sure if I am being dumb but it looks like he has 4 fingers and a thumb on both hands
We can see 5 fingers, and it could just be the case of an artist just.... not knowing what to do with a thumb in that grip.
As to the lore, there's nothing mentioning an unusual amount of fingers.
@@stormscrappegaming3923 I guess you could say it's 4 fingers and a thumb on the hand holding the knife, but personally my thumb bends the literal opposite direction to how it would need to to look like that, all 5 are curling around in the same direction.
okay so i just looked at the big version of the image ,and he definitely only has 5 fingers per hand, but looking at the details that's definitely some AI art that has been "patched" by a real artist. First of all, no sane human would deliberately draw someone holding a knife with a suic*de grip (thumb on the same side as the fingers, instead of going the other way around the handle). AI however will do that, because AI knows a hand has to have 5 fingers and has difficulty comprehending one of the fingers being hidden by the knife handle, so it uses that grip.
The other indicators are in the details when you look at the large version of the image: the perspective of knife, table and hand looks weird at the tip of the knife.
But the biggest tell: The guy's eyes look in opposite directions. They both point towards the outside (away from the nose). No human artist would deliberately draw that. AI would.
Also there's a "face" inside the bottle and one of the jacket shoulder "pauldrons" looks horrible. And the artstyle isn't super consistent.
I'd wager a thousand bucks that this abomination is AI art.

Legate Lanius is not awful. You just have to copy that trigger 2 or 3 times and then blink him. Mardu blink fucks because of effects just like that.

I genuinely think people misunderstand legate lanius. People read 1/10th, and say it's bad. It's effectively a 4 mana 5/5 that makes your opponents sac a creature each. Like that's more than playable. 5 mana sheoldred does effectively the same thing, and that sees a lot of play in commander.
I'm not saying he's busted or anything. But he is a more than solid playable, and I've never felt bad when I see him in my jund control deck. He always ruins one players day whenever he turns up, and so long as I'm not in a pod of token spam, he will always be impactful in some way.
Dangit i thought you were going to actually play new vegas and interpret the creatures, weapons(artifacts), perks(enchantments), and landscapes as of they were magic cards. Awww it sounds hard but fun
