Music: Mozart, Piano_Sonata in B flat major III Allegretto Grazioso.
The quality of digital colorization is getting better and better
3:03 It's crazy to think stop motion film is over 100+ years old and still used today.
What a cute little movie for being so old. My great grandma on my mom's side would have been about 2 years old when this was made
So dreamy and escapist, and I expect it was back in 1909 as well.
I love the details in a short of that era. The giant cigar box that was made for the fairies to get in and out of....It looks to me like they used wallpaper for that, and it really, really looks like a cigar box! And when she gets out of the pipe...and by the way, where'd they come up with a giant pipe like that...they smudged up her outfit quite a bit! I'm thinking either they had two outfits for her or more likely they filmed that part last.
Princess Nicotine of the Kingdom of COPD
Just a Pipe Dream.
The quality of the video is so good I'm amazed this is from 1909😮
They edited it to make it look even better than how it originally was

@@joel230182 amazing!
Princess Nicotine was played by 12 year old Gladys Hulette. She would go on to have a notable career in the silent era, perhaps most memorably as the leading lady in the classic Tol'able David (1921). She passed away in 1991 at the age of 95.
This was released in the same year that Venezuelan man Juan Vicente Perez was born, and is still alive today at 114, and is the current oldest man in the world…Craziness
A rare glimpse of these evil fairies.
(The special effects are simple but very well done.)
I am officially disturbed.
Is that an accidental catch of someone's hand I saw during the stop-motion of the last cigarette trying to make its way into the carton (around 3:27-3:28)? Maybe the person who was moving the pieces incrementally for the film...?
Exactly
Wow you're a real hawkeye! I had to watch it at 0.25 speed there to notice it!
I had to go back and slow down the speed to catch that, I just thought it was cos the film was old , now that you mentioned it being a hand. I re watched it and yeah I think it was someone's hand , you do have a hawk eye for sure .

Literally a tabac commercial.
Lovely!🥰👍
Kind of stinks that the cigar box princess make a cigar for him that he seems to enjoy, and he pays her back by blowing smoke all over her. Served him right for her to set the top of the table ablaze! but I guess the seltzer got the last laugh.
There is just such a play full inersent to this 😊
one day someone will say that smoking is bad for you..smh
At the beginning of the 20th century, smoking was seen as somewhat normal, even children used it.
Lovely!
...well, that was definitely something.
She was a bad girl
👏👏👏❤❤❤❤
I wonder how long that took to edit, back then?
Что они такм курили с режиссером в 1909
Cool ❤
120 years... And people still cosplayed as bongs
Bro I'm so toasted right now and I still don't even understand what is going on in this film. 😅
princess salvia
tout mignon
Those cigarettes look like they were rolled by Bob Marley or Cheech and Chong 😂😂😂😂
I know its just me, but I prefer it in b&w the way it was filmed.
That society is preferable over most current ones.
Which shows how much you don't know about the societies of those days.
@bloodgrss oh? Such as? And also, compared to what alternatives?
Read a history book about Edwardian society and poverty, colonial rule, Jim Crow America, etc., etc., before you make shallow and uninformed blanket statements. The world was a lot worse then unless, of course, you were one of the privileged few. I don't feel the need to educate you; the library is open.@@DeanDewnuffun
Where do you live?
Yes, lets bring back only 2 classes -ultra rich and ultra poor, less bathing no pain meds for dental work, child labor, high key racism and ...wait
What application did you use?

Film is 24FPS. There is no benefit making videos into 60FPS. They're not videogames. It gives an un-natural appearance. It's nice to see videos enhanced but increasing frame rate is not an enhancement.
Perhaps a good point, though the wide shot scenes looked fine in 60fps imo, just the stop motion really suffered from all the frame blending making it look weird.
I guess I missed it
otima imagem, mas é nojento
