@ I work for a company who is part of the DEI program. Twice a year we have 8 hr. classes discussing “inequalities” in the work place. Focusing on minorities and how they have it harder than Americans/white people. Nobody spoke other than the presenter because it’s a touchy subject. Although at breaks majority of attendees would ask questions counter to what the presenter was saying but didn’t feel safe enough to speak up in fear of being labeled. It’s not a fun experience, it has nothing to do with growing the business and is all about color and race and not about can that person do the job the best they can.

Fortunately, I never found myself working for a subpar DEI company. I could never discriminate based on color. Teamwork and merit based companies are the only companies that people should work for if they seek to work in a company focused on growth.
The truth is they have seen the race over merit has failed. I watched a part time truck driver who I worked with go up the chain in four years to a high position with a state agency because of his race. Ignoring he was fired from his previous 2 jobs prior to us. I have been saying that for years. For white people in this country thinking racism is a thing of the past or doesn't exist, I would always ask why those questions are on applications.
I hate working with DEI hires as they are typically unsuited to the job and feel very entitled and also untouchable. As a result they are also usually hard to fire if their performance is unsatisfactory.

Fortunately, I never found myself working for a subpar DEI company. I could never discriminate based on color. Teamwork and merit based companies are the only companies that people should work for if they seek to work in a company focused on growth.

The truth is they have seen the race over merit has failed. I watched a part time truck driver who I worked with go up the chain in four years to a high position with a state agency because of his race. Ignoring he was fired from his previous 2 jobs prior to us. That's not what that meant though. Who told you that's what that meant? Do you know that at one point in time, a gay man, no matter his race, could not get a job he was qualified for? That black people with degrees would not get hired? DEI and affirmative action was set in place to make it illegal to discriminate against anyone based on their race, sexual preference, etc. as long as they possessed the qualifications, it gave them the opportunity to earn a better living.
