I hope they pay these guys well because because some of them have some serious improv skills, I mean the punchline has to actually be funny but (semi) family friendly. Not to mention the fact that it can be hard to be funny when a bunch of 4 year olds ask you a dumb questions.
There is probably a dude sitting in a room with a facial recognition system that detects his head and mouth movements and sends it to the screen. And then he has controls to position Crush on the screen and play various animations. You can see that there are just a set amount of animations. The only thing that needs to be animated in real time is the head movements.
