I think one of the best videos content wise was way back in the day down at ol’ Johnny’s with the triple turbo setup running it, then he showed the bench testing setup. Awesome.
This why I will always trust Muldoon in my race Cummins. Literally highest quality stuff. And they legit pay attention to every detail and super oriented to the goals of the customer. No joke. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
If I remember correctly when greg first bought the truck he mentioned the gearing he went with was a little lower already knowing he was going to be putting wheels and tires on it.
I upgraded my 48re at 38k. Billet input shaft, triple disk converter, flexplate, upgraded valvebody, anchors. I keep the stock clutches. I am now at 224k mostly towing 20K+ at 600whp. I do wish I had 2 more gears. I service the trans every 30k. I know my overdrive clutches can't be doing great. LOL Won't be much longer and I will have to go back in and do a complete rebuild.
We tow with a 2018 and we have a big Tex I believe 40 foot deck space and we haul our cat 259 tracked skid steer, cannam long bed side by side, bucket, augar bit and attachment, forks, tree puller, and usually two hedge corners and a few hedge line post and 100 gallons of diesel fuel in the tank on top of the gooseneck, and my bosses truck has 140k on it and 90k of thst is from the last year and half and he is waiting for the day fhst the trans leaves the chst. I’ll recommend him to these wonderful people tho, and his truck is deleted and studded so it’s not your average ram dually mega cab😂😂
I dont understand he had a muldoonsdiesel stage 2 trans installed when he had just bought the truck and he just had another stage 2 installed at 80 k miles .why did he have 2 stage 2 68rfe transmission put in 1 at almost new and the 2nd at 80 k miles
@@muldoontransmission Awesome! My 4th gens in Florida but I’m bringing it back to Jersey once my garage is built. I’ll might have to get one of those on the way back up 😎
So odd any one who does 48re does the double sided gpz as a good all around clutch but the 68fre works better with the single sided clutches. The 48re came from the factory with a single sided clutch.
@@muldoontransmission Thanks for the reply. I personally CAN NOT recommend enough the DNJ borg warner governor pressure solenoid for 46-8re transmissions. It definitely has more value than gold for these transmissions. Its good to read borg warner makes good clutches as well.
Some people want to win the lottery...but I want to be able to casually drive to a shop and get my 68 pulled, rebuilt, and installed in a day #bigdickenergy boys
Greg when are you getting Michael a nice big ultrasonic unit like they had at transmission shop!???? And I can’t believe that you didn’t take him with you to learn the new technology on the transmission new technology!!!
A I might be wrong but didn't Muldoon's and freedom racing start in San Jacinto California I'm just asking cause back before the diesel world took off I remember a freedom racing and remember seeing a Muldoon's transmission banner and the only 2 shops that are out their is diesel tech they only mostly do fords and Russ that owns maximum diesel Russ dose pretty much everything but mostly love Cummins cause I remember freedom us to be on the corner of esplanade and State Street but I think they tor down that shop
I really watched the whole video hoping for an update on the single cab. Not all pf us have every form of social media greg! When will the winner know?
Greg looking like a youngster 4 years back 😂

The dually is one of my favorite trucks on the channel!
I’m in the process of building my 68 after 460,000 miles on the stock one towing every day.
Question I put in a Alison ats in my truck what's your thoughts compared to just doing the built 68?
The two month wait he has says alot. Everyone I talked too said they are the best in the country.
Cool build, those guys sound like they know whats up! Any update on the WWG? Any winner yet?
That was awesome to watch with out question those guys are good at what they do! Thanks for sharing!
How much is that trans service/ upgrade
I love trips to go see John. Smashed like button right away. Next stop to see no boost?
Got the 68 in my 2010 cummins megacab, hasn't let me down yet, 140k
When you announcing winner or regular cab. I’m ready to come get it …
What gears and tires on this????
This why I will always trust Muldoon in my race Cummins. Literally highest quality stuff. And they legit pay attention to every detail and super oriented to the goals of the customer. No joke. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
a Christmas miracle some OG Greg A wrenching content
HUGE SHOUT TO MULDOONS DIESEL!!!! awesome guys my trans is still rollin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn’t it help the transmission to re-gear to a lower gear ratio because of the bigger tires?
If I remember correctly when greg first bought the truck he mentioned the gearing he went with was a little lower already knowing he was going to be putting wheels and tires on it.

Very nice build
Greg A is so baller he get his transmission rebuilt before he needs to get his transmission rebuilt 🤙
Awesome video. Would love to see an ATS Allison swap in one of the trucks
How long did it take from start to finish?
I have a G56. Would be nice if you could do something like this for the G56 with South Bend.

Next tow rig needs to be a stretched mega cab dually.
how long did it take them to finish this?
I'd rather put a trans in a dodge then a motor in a ford.
Why didn't you update the transfer case that's part of the transmission too Greg
Great information

John is the guy!
Surprising how small the internals are on those transmissions
Badass man that dually is one sexy machine💯
My stock 68 with 200k miles feels like a drunk guy driving a straight drive
Does Muldoon make a 68 for the 800hp range. If so which company would be best out of revmax, Muldoons, and suncoast?
In the near future we will have a 68RFE that will support over 800 whp.
@@muldoontransmission Awesome! My 4th gens in Florida but I’m bringing it back to Jersey once my garage is built. I’ll might have to get one of those on the way back up 😎
We will be happy to help!!
i thought you were changing the flywheel also? 🤔
Buenas amigo cómo estás saludos acá de Austin tx Freddy delgado bonitos tus videos ánimo con esas Cuminns
I’m surprised that he didn’t paint the transfer case while it was out!
the man the myth the legend John

What does the comment box say? Raybestos GPZ or Borg Warner one way clutches?
Borg warners throughout.

Holy fuck Greg looked a lot younger 4 years ago.
Muldoons is top notch!!

Cool video have you ever thought about doing a Allison conversion
Pretty sure ive been watching your vids from the start like 2016 or something lol
DAY 2 of commenting that Greg and Mike should do RMRW in the 05!
Rocky mountain race week?
Get a 5th gen dually!
You should do an Allison 1000 conversion! Would be awesome to see!
Sounds like a waste of money
Transmissions are such a strange thing. They make absolutely no sense to me.

If u didn’t get a call yet, you didn’t win 😢
Don’t see the benefit of a 68 I’ve seen Aisin trans truck go a million miles in a hotshot truck stock trans you’ve had it out twice and just have 80k
HAHAHAHAHAH LOL
