Holy fuck man...im feeling so weirdly good about this i just got all of it so in tone and in time and all flawless .
Such a helping hand. Thanks a lot big brother
Anyway I can buy the stems of this track off of you? Also do you know what bpm you made this track at? Thanks for the awesome track
Same here. Wow
Same here 😂
I just solo'd for nearly six minutes, and it felt like 1. That was the best guitar playing I've ever done. Put your earphones in, listen to this and play along through your amp and it really makes you feel like you're David Gilmour! Amazing
That moment when youre just improvising and you dont even realize youve been going for 6 minutes
Brandon Quod that’s why I love this! It boosts my confidence every time! Like I pieced together a short 3 minute solo for Comfortably Numb (I just took the pulse versions and shortened it) but I cut it the end of it to improvise over this. And time just flies by so when I’m ready to do the ending the track is already finished!
I feel ya😂
Try the 17 minute one now
6? it's on repeat for ever!
how do you improvise
man once you get that gilmour tone on your guitar... playing over this is unreal ! :D
yup... that's da magic of music my friend ; )
+WillPG1212 care to share your settings to achieve his tone? I've been working on a patch that's close but I can't quite get it right.
its a downloaded patch for my pedal and I genuinly don't remember which one. But if you google search G2.1u patches, and search Comfortably Numb, in the first page that shows up. They sometimes do explain the setup for it, and it might apply for you. GL!
+WillPG1212 So true! Yesterday i borrowed a Delay from a friend because i already had a Fuzz and an Overdrive and suddenly i plugged in my Strat and put the pedals in a random order an BOOM! The Gilmour Tone! It's Magical! Greetings my friend!
Strat>SSL-5>reverb>Vox AC30
you can literally play any combination in bm pentatonic and it will still sound great. lol
add a 2nd (c sharp) in that and you have the whole solo
@@karlokarlic1849 B minor includes the note C#.
@@The_Kirk_Lazarus he was talking about bm pentatonic which doesnt have a c sharp, you're talking about the natural minor scale which does have a c sharp
Just play B aeolian mode. The natural harmonics gives you even greater range on this one
Music teacher had said it.. Everything you play in pentatonic and whatever chord is it as long as it's in key it will sound great that's why it's the most used in improvising
this backing track is so cool, even without the world's coolest solo
when ur trying to learn the solo but end up improvising for six minutes at the part u haven't learnt yet
That’s facts
@Peni Shumper nice username
Haha so true!
lmao same shit here
Might as well, Gilmour never plays it exactly like the studio version when live anyways.
I had no idea I was soloing for 6 minutes. This thing ends WAY too quickly.
not when they do it live...goes for much longer than 6-minute
In live they go half lyrics-1st solo-lyrics and the other half of the length is the second solo... About 10 minutes. Best one for ever will be from the Pulse concert at Earls Court.
I really liked the Dgasnk version too with the orchestra.
rinse and repeat my bro
fax lmao 😂
My fingertips are Comfortably Numb
Mine are painfully uncomfortable, but then again I just spent a good few hours with this backing track.
I can definitely feel them but for the sake of memes, they are somewhat comfortable
I've got blisters on my fingers
It's funny that Waters sang in one of "The Doctor" demos "here, have another blue one, have your fingertips gone numb?"
Yep that happens when you learn Gilmour solos!
HOLY SHIT I FEEL LIKE DAVID GILMOUR
HAHAHAH SAME
Funkmentality SAME LOL
+Funkmentality It's an insanely good backing track to play along to...
+Funkmentality wooooooooooooooow looooooooooooooooooooooool
+Funkmentality Today I will try it. Greetings from Poland!
I was having a blast until it ended, I demand a 30-minute long version! This backing so awesome!
You truly feel like an absolute god when you've learnt the few first bars of the solo and you play it on top of this xD
Fr
Holy shit I’ve never improvised so well in my life
same
4.3 million attempts, and I still can’t nail it. David you legend!
I combined the best bits of the album version with the PULSE version. I am now immortal. Bow before me.
We’re bowing 😊👍
My neighbors listen to it every day BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO CHOICE! Play it with a huge fan in front of me on the Balcony and pretend I'm on stage. When I'm in a really good mood I shout "Thank you" to random passangers passing by
pianoworld89 having a lot of fun with this most sound really good but bits of crap an all am gonna persiver an get there in the end
pianoworld89 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂love it geese 👌pukka
I laughed out loud haha
hahaha that was hilarious
i wish i be your neighbor mate. ı m a huge fan too but i cany play guıtar :( :( very sadd
Awesome. It's amazing how much magic can come from a few notes.
Best guitar solo ever.....
I haven't played guitar in a month because of a bad time and tomorrow I have promised myself a treat by jamming over this wonderful backing track.
It will probably end up sounding a bit rough but I am going to enjoy myself for a change.
Dew it!
Have a wee look at my channel at the latest video.
Thanks for putting this up.
Thanks to this track I am learning the solo as well as getting to know my fretboard in such a Gilmourish way. And loving it.
all i do is improv. been playing by ear on and off 33 years i cant read
music and never had lessons but i feel every note from this song in my soul david gilmour is 1 of the greatest of all time guitar players he can make you cry with his guitar . this backing track rocks!
The best backing track for the best solo!!! My neighbours have been getting this all day on full volume with me playing the same solo over and over hahaha.
I loose myself playing over this track, thanks!
I made that up for 6 minutes.......probably the best 6 minutes I've ever played 👍👍👍👍👍
I just found this tonight. My fingers are shreaded! Thank you so much!
Added to my favorites. Incredible.
Seriously I didn't even note the time had passed while I was playing this. Thanks a lot! :D
Play this blindfolded like I did, it’s like meditating, nothing going through your head except your soul, spirit and emotion.
This is so intense. What a catharsis.
this backing track is so cool, even without the world's coolest solo
so
damn
much
fun
B minor or B minor pentatonic is amazing with this.
I absolutely love the backing track power chords for the final solo in this song. It always sounds so awesome!
yup, and it's about damn near impossible to make a dramatic mistake. The most important thing about Gilmour's style (in my opinion) is he's constantly using the guitar's nuances and ghost notes not only cuz it sounds cool, but to sort of let the guitar have a say in where he's going to tear it up. If you look at his hands, its as if he's got invisible mittens on. He's just sort of having his way with the neck. Very unique, and very practical for achieving that unmistakable sound.
by far the best six minutes ive spent on youtube
Hi channeled the master tonight and I had one of the best times of my life on a guitar. Thank you so much.
Most of the people here are guitar players soloing, while I just came here because I love listening the backing track and how it just keeps going!
This is the best thing I ever heard in my life.
My all time favorite solo piece!
So am I man.
I dont even know music theory but i know the first parts and the repeated parts of the solo and im just improvising random notes and i feel like im a goddamn god haha this is amazing
what is it about this song/backing track ? You start soloing on your guitar and into the song a minute , you feel like a rockstar.
How it was composed or the thoughts were put into this song ......I can never really understand. Beautiful piece of endless music :)
Thanks, really appreciate it! Once you get the tone and your fingers right it really is special to play along to this. I'm sitting here playing it over and over again.
Stairway and this, are one of the best backing tracks
Thank you! The David Gilmore solo has always been my all time favorite
holy cow...when i stop playing i had a goosebumps :D
I just left music school feeling like a burnt out husk. then I found this and i started to feel it again what a great soloist Dave Gilmour is
this is by far the best thing i jammed to man i didnt knew i am that good
116 people have not learned the solo yet
121 now , lol , with a little heart anyone can dive into this.another groove is " while my guitar gently weeps " too :)like the player said , " just add feeling " make it your own .pls add other tracks you think of .sooo
Frekki X I struggled to learn it fully, so I kinda improvised some of it. Got most of it, but it's difficult for me
i improvised xd
ive been at it for a week and a half now 3 t0 4 hours a day finally got it down good.
why be someone else when you be can yourself
Best track ever. EVER!!!!!
Even the backing track alone is better than mainstream music nowadays.
Still true today 😂😂😂
THank you for this public service lol. Us guitar players are in heaven
Does anybody have just this outro uploaded WITH Gilmore's lead solo? Along with "Layla" & "Purple Rain", this is one THE absolute BEST song outros EVER! An outro SO good that it makes you want to skip over the rest of the song to get to it!
FreddyKurganNimmo I do this every time I play the song lol
Wow perfect to perform the Pulse solo version :))
avengedplayerM7 ye geeze love it but takes some doing those 👌
thanks for the upload , Paul we salute you ....bro , you makin a lot of folks HAPPY
Your comment makes me HAPPY :)
Bm pentatonic and if you're creative you can slip in an Em arrpeggio now and then but don't sweep it pick it out with some emotion and a bend here and there. Thanks for this track. Great jam.
B minor is literally one of the best keys
This chord progression is helping a lot too.
You can do anything on the Bm penta, and it sounds awesome.
HOOLLLLY SHITTT. That is so awesome. I learned the solo so i found this to play it over and after i finished i just kept going. It's so fun and i don't think i've ever improvised so well, i was just feeling it the whole time
Am I the only who feels amazing when they get the pinch at the start right? :)
love playing over this. gets your creative juices flowing and makes you a better soloist .tks bud
best 6 minute solo i ever had
Perfect to play "Swan Lake" in the solo;)
