Hello and thank you for the tutorial. I have the following query: I will sew some aprons and will use stainless steel D-rings. As these are fabrics, they will definitely need to be washed in the washing machine. I have been told not to use a stainless steel D-ring in the washing machine because it will rust. I'm a bit confused. I would like to have your opinion as well. Thank you for your time and help.
Hello Annita, thank you for your question. I have had my apron for a while now and it has been in and out of the wash without a problem. The D-Rings I use are by Prym. They are made from 100% zinc die-cast, rustproof material. Hand washing is suggested by the manufacturer, but I find that a gentle, low temperature cycle on the washing machine is fine. Liz 🙂
