So the small one I did turned out great, but the large one is extremely large. So I cut it to the size of the medium one and it still seems too big. Am I doing something wrong? What am I missing?

Hi Georgia, I don't have the size of them because I used a fat quarter and first cut the pocket. The fabric that was left was cut into 3" strips and sewn together for the strap. I actually don't have the exact number. -Crystal😊

Chrystal I love this tutorial but my only problem is, not all fat quarters are alike. Some are rectangle but the ones I have are actually 19" square. So having some measurements would be helpful. I guess I can take one side down a couple inches.
Oh interesting, I've never seen a 19" square fat quarter. The ones I purchase are always 19 x 22". I think the basic method would still work. The straps are not an exact size. As long as they can be fed through the apron and tied in the back it's long enough.. if that makes sense. I will measure the finished straps today and update what that finished size is on both the small and medium aprons. -Crystal🙂

I made aprons somewhat like yours over 30 years ago. On the one you made with the white pocket and aqua designs, your stitching is very wavy. It's important to keep a straight consistent sewing line. The aprons are a good length but the pockets are too large. They would look better to be smaller and have maybe some thin lace or ribbon for a design across the top and down the center of the pockets.

I don't know. I do know a fat quarter is 18x20 inches. You can Google conversion calculators to get the measurements in cm.

The pattern is very versatile.. you can make any changes you like 😊. My granddaughter has not minded the wavy stitching.. 😄
