    Chrystal I love this tutorial but my only problem is, not all fat quarters are alike. Some are rectangle but the ones I have are actually 19" square. So having some measurements would be helpful. I guess I can take one side down a couple inches.

    • @HomemakingontheHomestead
      @HomemakingontheHomestead  2 роки тому

      Oh interesting, I've never seen a 19" square fat quarter. The ones I purchase are always 19 x 22". I think the basic method would still work. The straps are not an exact size. As long as they can be fed through the apron and tied in the back it's long enough.. if that makes sense. I will measure the finished straps today and update what that finished size is on both the small and medium aprons. -Crystal🙂

      Below the title of the video you will see where it says, "more", click on that (or tap it if you are on your phone).. there may be another box that also has "more" ... click or tap and it will open up. That is where I put any information regarding that video. Hope that helps!

      Hi.. I didn’t take the total length because I used a fat quarter.. after cutting the pocket piece, as shown in the video, what’s left is used for the strap.

    I made aprons somewhat like yours over 30 years ago. On the one you made with the white pocket and aqua designs, your stitching is very wavy. It's important to keep a straight consistent sewing line. The aprons are a good length but the pockets are too large. They would look better to be smaller and have maybe some thin lace or ribbon for a design across the top and down the center of the pockets.

      The pattern is very versatile.. you can make any changes you like 😊. My granddaughter has not minded the wavy stitching.. 😄
