USA needs to step up our savory pie game. Only common one here is chicken pot pie/turkey pot pie.
Ummm where do you live? Cause we have beef pie and shepard pie mincemeat pie, chicken pie, turkey pie where I live in the states
@@kpoppapi1493 I live in the southeast and can confirm while others exist, the only common one on menus (if any) are chicken pot pie varieties. You may find more in the frozen section of grocery stores, but the only super popular one here is CPP

Chicken/turkey/beef pot pies only in very specific places, and are very uncommon. Shepherds pie, is usually a cottage pie and are rare to be offered. In Australia, pies can be found everywhere.
@@shawnm7246 and in Australia fruit pies and pies like pecan pie, pumpkin pie and sweet.potato pie are less common. I have had turkey, chicken and beef pies at restaurants before as well as shepards pie. Yes it may be less common depending on your location but how many of our American pies that are easily found at restaurants here are found at restaurants in Australia. Different countries have different cultures and different popular foods for their regions it is just fact. Right in our own country in the USA different areas have different food and a lot of it is not being served in restaurants across the country

Butter chicken pies are clearly a lot more popular here in NZ. They are probably next to mince and cheese in terms of popularity

As a Brit we have chicken balti pie at football games and it’s a god tier pie
i love a Kiwi pie. (uk here ) we have this company that makes the best pies. they have kiwi pie which is a cheeseburger pie. they have one called penguin pie (no actual penguins just fish ) also cheese and potato pie is yummy. but if Sohan wants cronch on a mashed potato topped pie try Cumberland pie -its a cottage pie topped with cheese and bread crumbs

For me, as long as the U.S. enjoys eating their own kind of food is alright. We aren’t from Europe, Australia nor any of those other countries so we make do with wat we know of.

why would you call meat substitutes "fake shit" and tell people to stop eating them? you can eat whatever you want, so let others do the same. just let people enjoy their substitutes without bashing them for doing something which in the end even benefits you in the long term (resources, climate change, pandemics, pollution, etc.)
and if you don't understand why someone eats a substitute instead of an "authentic" veggie pie, i can explain it to you - 1. they taste different 2. they have more protein than just veggies - so it's basically like they substitute meat, not that hard to get

i guess it really comes to it that vegan substitute thing shouldn't be a thing at all.
It is inappropriate to call/name a certain vegan dish or associating it to beef, pork, chicken, or fish when they are not entirely related at all. I think that just destroys the purpose of abstaining meat or animal related stuff.
Vegan food can stand alone without comparing to meat. I guess the only common thing about them is that they are PROTEIN.

I love the content but as a vegan, PLEASE I beg you stop having meat eater try "fake" meats ( and having them try it last after all the meat ones). They obviously think it's not good going in with a preconceive notion that the meat is vegan. Maybe do a blind fold and tell them what it is after them tasting it. Just my opinion.
They’ll still think it’s bad because it’s not real meat, it wouldn’t matter when they tried it or whether they were blindfolded or not. 🤷🏻♀️
