- we went from camping to castles real quick in this section of the trip.
I was initially going to have a third part to this series, but once I was with my family I decided to put my camera away and just be.
BUT I've been vlogging all weekend now that I'm back in the city so expect more day-to-day footage like this soon!

Kalyn...oh my goodness, Kalyn....I cannot tell you how much I relate to you and how much I feel we have in common based on what you share in your videos/podcasts (textbook Pisces, total girly girl meets kinda tomboy when she gets out in nature haha, someone who wants to inspire the world and bring LIGHT to it, recovering perfectionist/overthinker, obsessed with decor and ambiance, dedicated to creative work/passions, city girls - I’m in NYC -, outgoing introvert, and the list goes on).
And so while when I watch your videos I love the connection I feel to you from the things we have in common, I am INSPIRED AF by your bravery to try new things, even when they will involve having to learn a lot. (Camping for example - just trying to figure out what tent to buy makes me exhausted along with, like, how not to get eaten by bears, LOL.)
This video and your podcast episode reflecting on the trip have literally BROUGHT ME TO TEARS this morning. I work at a hedge fund here in NYC during the week and am a life coach and singer on nights/weekends. :) That clearly means I need to be very conscientious about how I spend my time, but sometimes I overdo it and feel the need to control, tighten, and make everything happen. But then I’m not really enjoying life or feeling free, which is the whole point of my coaching work and my singing. It’s like this little dance (ah, life) of having structure but then letting it go, over and over again.
Anyway, thank you, as always, for sharing your heart with us. I’m amazed that at just 23 (or 24?) how mature and brave you are. I’m 30 and I see so much of myself in you, and not to say I’m not ever brave..but that part of you that decides to hop in a car and just go...that level of bravery?!..that I’m in awe of and can learn a lot from you there!

It is literally two in the morning as I am writing this. I leave in two hours to go to my college that I’ve been waiting to go to since Junior year in high school. As I’m taking a journey through all of this change and pure excitement for change, I am also slightly overwhelmed. This video as well as multiple of your videos have helped me with my life in so many ways. I genuinely enjoy your videos and you as a person Kalyn. So thank you for everything you do. Wow.. all of this was just stunning. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous. I really have never seen something so beautiful before. Like no joke. When you had that view from your room in the castle, it was just ugh perfect! I definitely want to go there. It’s definitely an important part of my bucket list now 💙
I moved to Calgary from Ontario almost three years ago and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I go hiking with my best friend in the Banff/Canmore/Lake Louise area all the time and I am still astounded by the mountains. I can say for sure, Lake Louise is worth it, especially the hiking around the lake, so you'll have to try to get out here again. Big tip though is go as early as possible, because the parking lots fill up by 8am, especially in the summer.
I lived in BC (Vancouver Island to be specific) for most of my life, but I moved away about 7.5 years ago. Every time I see videos from people visiting BC I'm reminded how lucky I was, and that I wouldn't be unhappy to move back home eventually!
I am sooo impressed on how well you trained Bentley! He always seems so calm and happy, he stays with you all the time and listens to you. Would you ever share your advice on dog training with us?
I didn't want this beautiful video to come to an end. I must visit this magical place next year with my family. Until then I will watch your video over and over. I LOVE mountains and the flow of water.
I'm so happy you loved your west coast trip! I live 45 minutes from Banff and have spent so much of my vacation time road tripping through BC. Nothing better than camping in the mountains

You are so fortunate to have such stunning scenery in your home country and so many different types of places to visit. Your vlog has made me fall in love with Canada now and it’s become my top place to visit. I don’t have any Canadian roots as such but my (late) maternal grandmother grew up in Canada on a farm! I wish she were still here so I could ask her questions about it! Stunning vlog as always and so beautiful - but your editing is so tight at times that I have to rewind and freeze-frame to get a proper look at that amazing countryside! LOVE that you take Bentley on holiday with you more and more (I would never dream of going on holiday without my puppy!) because you’re giving him such a wonderful life by introducing him to all these fantastic places! Dogs’ lives can get so very boring otherwise if they’re just cooped up at home day after day with just the same local 20 min walk that they always do. It’s so important to take them on new adventures to allow them to fully thrive and you’re doing exactly that with Bentley so I’m really impressed! And I have so much respect for you for travelling alone so much - so many people (myself included) find that scary, even though it’s not, and that’s something that really frustrates me about myself! But thanks to you, I can feel myself feeling more positive about it and it’s something that I’m going to start to do very soon. So again, thank you so much for inspiring me in so many different ways!! xxx

I had never heard of Banff but that literally looks so pretty. I feel like a lot of the time a camera doesn't do a place like that justice so I can only imagine what that'd look like in person!
