Abhishek Sharma chill dude, ***** is doing a paid review for hyundai. and in the next comparo of avventura vs i20 Active they would say hyundai has the Best steering with perfect feedback... Though everyone knows Fiat can out run any car on steering-Handling and driving dynamics even to a segment above.
When will all new i20 active facelift version launch in India? as I am going to buy this february, should i have to wait if the company is going to launch new I20 active?
I'm really considering this car as my new car now ( in 2017) and would like to go for the petrol variant. Can you please let me know how the handling with the petrol variant is ??
Am planning to buy an i20 active but Am totally confused among the colour. I love black , it looks super awesome but i have got feedback from people that it is tough to maintain and gets heated quickly. I have plans to get it ceramic coated if i take black. Will it overcomes the problems? I like Red after Black , but I saw a few negatives regarding the red in the video too. So is the white atleast an easier car to maintain(i don't like white though). Please help me in choosing a good colour.
The competition is the Ecosport. Thank Ford for not making the automatic available. It is also more expensive because 6 airbags is worth more. Hope Hyundai brings in a safety version with 6 airbags and in automatic format before ford beats them to it.
I am planning to buy a petrol version of active. S I am just a city driver soo would there be a big issue with the performance of the car..even at low speeds? Any other draw back of the car??
I own a i20 active Petrol S variant in bangalore, its a good car to drive in bumper to bumper traffic as well as on Open highway stretches with a consistent mileage of 12-13 KMPL in city + highway mixed usage. The pick up in 1.2 petrol is a second or two slower compared to its diesel avatar. 1.2 is not under powered like most people say, it has enough power grunt in all the gears... its just a little lazy (114 nm torque petrol vs 220 nm diesel) to make up speed quickly (This is mainly due to its weight). On the other hand, 1.4 diesel gives you an immediate acceleration due to a good amount of torque available in lower rpms (1700--2000) and its quite punchy for quick overtakes and for filling gaps in slow moving traffic. However, i20 active petrol is very refined car with no vibrations, no engine noise (very light clutch vs heavy clutch of diesel) and has a very linear acceleration, so is actually meant for a relaxed driving style. The On road price difference between the Petrol and diesel sibling is quite huge (1.6 lacs approx bangalore)... making i20 active petrol mid (S) variant more value for money over its corresponding diesel variant, if you are driving pattern is upto 50 kms per day. I had test driven both Petrol & Diesel avatars extensively (to be precise around 4 times each from different dealers) before deciding on Petrol S variant. I personally felt i20 active 1.2 petrol is slightly better in 1st gear acceleration compared to elite i20 petrol since active gears ratios has been retuned .. that 6% company claims, does make a difference in stop and go traffic of bangalore (you can just release the clutch with no accerelator pedal and vehicle moves forward even with 5 passengers on a incline (flyover bridge) which was not the case in i20 elite petrol each time i tested during my test drive experience Also i found i20 active petrol does not get stalled so quickly as compared to i20 elite petrol in B2B traffic.
To all smart buyers out there - please do not fall into trap of buying a PSEUDO SUV. Duster is still the best compact SUV in India and if you are a Hyundai fan, Better wait for new Tucson to be announced later this year.
does the drls really blinks?? I saw many videos of the i20 active in which the drls blinks.. but my active's drls doesnt blink.. is there any other option to make them blink..?? please help me by answering this..

6 airbags in SX
FYI @odmag Hyundai is not the only manufacturer to have raised the ground clearance.. FIAT did raise the clearance for Avventura..
