Mine is him as Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island 🏝
Totally agree!!
Such an underrated film and character
YES - he is fabulous in this movie. I watch it just for his bits as Long John Silver!
Ok, but Dom also said he thought of Legend first off, and it made me really happy that we'd both thought of that one first, because fantasy movies are my thing...and because that movie is gorgeous.
Now I want Billy to star in a production of Rocky Horror Picture Show as Dr. Frankenfurter
Palpatine in the Clone Wars show is a crazy under-rated Tim Curry role
Tim Curry: fabulous actor! Unsurprisingly, I’m very fond of his character, Dr. Frank-N-Furter. 😊
Darkness in Legend. Hands down my favorite Tim Curry role.
Thank you Dom for giving a shout out to Clue! I absolutely love that film, one of my favorite comedies of all time and it is a comedic masterpiece! Every single performer was perfect, Tim Curry was amazing in it but I want to also acknowledge the other great performances in that film like Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, just to name a few. I absolutely adore Madeline Kahn in Clue. The director was pretty strict for the actors to follow the script so there was little to no improving which is hard to imagine since everyone worked off so well together and there was so many moments that felt that way but no it was in the script but there was one time they actually kept an improv scene in and that was with Madeline Kahn and that shows what a her comedic genius she was!
Don't forget Jane Wiedlin's cameo as the singing telegram girl!
@@shawnax9917 I didn’t know that was her until not too long ago! 😂
I think for me the first movie I think about regarding Tim Curry is The Three Musketeers. I grew up with that one and he's just brilliant in it, as always.
Clue is fucking amazing. I was so happy to hear Dom's answer.
My 8 year old daughter who loves the LOTR movies and loves whodunits.... You just stole her heart!
Tim Curry best role in my opinion is in the little known tv series Earth 2. He is in the second season, but just totally relishes his role and has fun with it as the smarmy sweet but ultimately evil ex con the survivors of the spaceship crash come across. The way he calls that little girl Poppet just sends chills! And Pennywise the Clown in the Original IT - STELLAR. And as Long John Silver in Muppets Treasure Island - he's hilarious as the evil pirate. I adore this actor and love it when he plays an oh so charming Villain. He's so damn good at it! Just oozes the charm and the evil at the same time. And he is amazing in Clue, Rocky Horror, Legend and so much more!
Tim Curry is the best - loved him in Clue as well.
Home alone 2 is so funny and a stand out for me.
Also Tim was in a very underrated movie called Oscar (1991) starring Sylvester Stallone! It’s brilliant and worth a watch as it’s a funny comical farce twist of a gangsters life turning good! Tim is phenomenal in it.
Tim has done some amazing voice work too over the years.
The cut scenes in Red Alert are the single fewest fucks given by any actor at any time.
It will forever be my first introduction to him which was the quintessential Long John Silver.
First saw Tim Curry in Legend as Darkness. Pretty stand-out role, really.
Followed by Hexes in Ferngully.
Completely agreed with Dom's favourite Tim Curry's movies. And same rational too. I was stunned when he presented his list.
Nice answers, lads. I'm a Rocky Horror obsessive but Clue maybe my second choice. But Tim Curry is a win in ANYTHING. Even Congo.
My dad was delighted I went to the cinema to see Hunt For Red October with him. Then Tim Curry's name came up in the credits and I just heard him say "ah..." from beside me..
loved his accent in Congo. He is amazing in any role he takes on, truly.
You guys are amazing!
I LOVE YOU GUYS!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
CLUE! YES!
Legend.
muppet treasure island
Legend!!!
I strive to be as confident in heels as Tim Curry was in RHPS.
Clue is his best.
Clue is a great film
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers.
His portrayal in Lexx, was an affront, atrocious, abomination; safe to say, an absolute alien affinity. Also, ahhhhh
Wait - what season was this???? I must have missed it, I loved Lexx, but dont remember seeing Tim Curry, which would have made my day!
Before she was even finished with the question I said 'Clue'.
I imagine the great actor of this generation watch view count under this video crying like it's his first audition failure.
No to RHPS. Pennywise!
