  • I take the MagShock Fold & Go Wheelchair on a variety of hiking trails and really show how much it can do off road, while also showing the times it got stuck or slid around. I've already learned a lot about driving the MagShock and have a lot more to learn. It's been helpful to be an ambulatory wheelchair user because when the chair gets stuck, I can use it like a walker or rollator and push it for a short distance. Using the chair on all the trails got me so emotional as I was able to observe beautiful views, majestic wildlife, and regrowth of trees after the fires. I am so thrilled with the new FREEDOM I have this chair and how it is reconnecting me to nature. And I'm open to driving advice - please feel free to leave me a comment!

You have NO IDEA how helpful this video was. I'm considering the same chair - and I live wayy up in the mountains. My dirt driveway is 3/4 of a mile long. I learned so much about driving this thing from you. You were super-brave and tried things I would not have dared! So - many many thanks for this awesome vid. I gave you a subscribe hoping to see more adventures w/ this chair.

Absolutely great educational video. I’m looking for a chair at this time. All these chairs have limitations. They are not tractors. They are not made for all terrains. Thank you for the demonstration.😊😊

I just got my fold and go magshock yesterday, I have yet to really try driving it yet but this is helpful, and I am really excited to have this in my life to make things like this possible.

Thank you for allowing me to come along on your journey. I have liked and will subscribe. I am trying to figure out what mobility device is going to best help me. I am a little nervous because I have never had one and I don't want to pick something that will not work for me. It has been so so long since I've been able to get out and about. Have fun, stay safe and stay healthy.

Having had this for about a year, I would not buy again. Gets stuck in wet grass, Driving is unpredictabl, batteries don't last nearly as far as claimed. folding and unfolding is stiff and jerky, not that heavy but awkward to load with one person, rough ride 0 suspension, too short for tall people (over 5'4"), Foot rest won't stay up..

I've just got my magshock chair and I've found the same problems with uneven ground. It just gets a mind of its own 😂 But I love it. I'm so incredibly thankful to be able to get out again!

Łove your driving advice comment! My driving instructor gave me two, which were 'there's always something coming until you've proved there isn't' and 'if in doubt, don't' - maybe the more you ignore the second, the more fun you'll have😉😁!

Really liked Your videos except for the fact when You get stuck You can get up and push yourself out.I can not walk due to a spinal cord injury I had 36 years a go at age 22 in a car accident. I have always used a custom ultra-Light manual chair and in the past 5 years have also added a power assist. But the Power Assist can not go the places You take Your chair and I live in rural New Hampshire and think this would be a Great extra chair for hilly backyards this Summer for cookouts and roots and dirt roads and snow in the Winter. I also like the fact that it is waterproof. I am gong to be 60 in a couple of weeks and after 36 years pushing a manual wheelchair My shoulders are getting worn some and I do not have the energy I did 20 years a go. I would still use My manual for exercise and in the house . But for the price under $3K this looks like something I might get in a couple more days. Let Me know if You have any input? Thanks, Alan..

That's so interesting; you have a smart drive on your chair, right? I've been curious about a comparison. Those smart drives look like an awesome option, too. I also have a little Zinger power chair and I have to stay on paved surfaces with that, so this has been a huge difference for me.

Now that you've had the chair for a year do you think you would have the same difficulties with the side slopes? My current chair got much better once I mastered the angling uphill so I was wondering if it was a limitation of the chair or just that you were still learning?

I’ve had my MagShock for a year, and it’s definitely an issue with the chair. It does not handle cross slope AT ALL. I’ve gone on sidewalks, and tried to go over a driveway that cuts through the sidewalk…and I end up in the street. I’ve talked with other people who have experienced the same. I’ve been driving a power chair for years, and I can definitely say that the navigation on this thing is pretty wonky.

I am a double amputee looking to get something that can handle grass and gravel, I think the Pride Revo 2.0 is better than this. That thing doesn't look stable enough. Little differences in level totally make it unstable

How is your learning going on this chair. I would like to know if you were able to use it on gravel path around a park? It is interesting that the wheels are not moving the same direction where you have joystick (forward).

It's much less strain on the chair zig zagging up a hill. A manual chair with the NaviONE power assist wheels would be awesome for that trail. Side slope? Those a a huge pain. I must admit, it is very strange to see someone in a scooter/wheelchair get out and push it...especially up a hill.

I have to agree. I'm looking for another folding electric wheelchair cause after 6 years... its time. Because of the companies advertising- I was seriously considering this one as one of my top 5. After seeing this thing in acrion... THERE'S NO WAY THAT I WOULD EVER BUY THIS. I'M NOT EVEN SURE IF I WOULD EVEN EVER USE IT IF IT WAS GIVEN TO ME!! My chair performed so much better- and it's an older model without all the new bells & whistles.
She seems really happy. But, as I was watching the video... I was actually WORRIED about her & kinda FREAKING OUT about what the chair was doing, in this terrain, or not. This terrain was NOT that bad & should've NEVER been that unstable. Mine is 6yrs old & needs to be replaced-- BUT, IT'S STILL A BEAST COMPARED TO THIS CHAIR! I guess I didn't realize how GREAT my chair was, because of it's age & ALL of the new chairs out with so many upgrades especially on handling on so many different terrains- WHICH IS SO DAMN IMPORTANT!! This one is a pretty high contender only because of the advertising, alone. THIS VIDEO NEEDS TO BE POSTED IN THEIR REVIEW SECTIONS... 9N GOOGLE, FACEBOOK AND ESPECIALLY AMAZON!!
