Great idea for a thrift store find. I sewed elastic on the corners of mine, so it stayed on the army cot (1/2 of a foam mattress topper is under it, for more cushion)
I love it! Great find and use. Since we have a bedroom shortage here I think I would have kept it whole and used it as a large sleeping pad. We sleep on the back deck during the warm months and we need padded floor mats for extra people and sleeping bags at times during the year! The floor gets hard fast!
Well I sure hope they do. I actually was in a store and saw bed bugs crawling up a pair of pants turned around went home sprayed my shoes and Immediately put my clothes in the washer. But the quilt is a very nice find.

Would it be long enough if you cut it across the width instead of the length? That would give you more left over.

It’s a hand made quilt. I hope you washed before you did this. Many of the goodwill/thrift stores have bed bugs.
It cost me $17 at the cleaners it would not fit in my washer and our goodwill washes most items

Oh that's awful our gw is pretty nice they go through everything as your donating it if it broken dirty or crap they refuse it
