- Honda Click, Why I bought the Honda Click ABS 160, I give you my thoughts on the New 2024 Honda Click, the good and the bad and yes there is bad. I had the older click 125i and loved it. I had this bike for 9 years. Watch my opinion, I'm just an ordinary guy buying a bike and show others what I think. It is a great bike not perfect but I like it. New Honda new click and was the ABS worth the extra.

I am glad you didn't buy the budget Honda Lead 125 and took people's advise and went for the Honda Click 160.
The new Honda Giorno 125 (Vespa with Honda reliability) would have been a better motorbike than the Honda Lead.
Pearl White is the best colour especially for being seen at night.
You are correct. The ABS has Gold writing while the Combo has Silver writing. I believe that for the 2024 Honda Click 160 only comes with ABS.
I think the Combo brakes are well adequate as per the Click 125 and ABS is not necessary on such a small motorbike.
I totally agree that the old simple key is better than the modern keyless.
I totally agree regarding the "no kickstart". There should be Kickstart on the Honda 160 because the battery does go flat if you do not ride it for a while because the battery gets drained by the remote key system.
Most farang seem to buy the PCX, probably for status. I prefer the Honda Click because:
1) The seat is not so stepped so can carry three people on it (even 4; a kid standing on the floor pan)
2) The angle of the forks are steeper on the Click than the PCX so a tighter turning circle for filtering through stationery traffic.
3) The Click is narrower and shorter so again easier to filter through stationery traffic jams.
4) You can step into the click which is much better for the females when wearing a dress or skirt
5) The floor pan of the click means you can store shopping (bottles of water etc) on the floor.
6) Because of the floor pan, you have a hook in the middle and can carry shopping bags.
7) Too much plastic panels on the PCX.
8) PCX 160 is 24,000 baht more than the Click 160
If you did want to upgrade the rear suspension, the shock absorber is the YSS G340 for 2350 baht.
That information is because of my research when the Thai secretary bought one in July 2023 with Combo brakes (not ABS) because she could not justify the extra 7,500 baht and thinks there is less to go wrong. She has not upgraded the rear suspension because our combined weight is only 130 kilos. Saying that I have not been to Thailand yet to test it but often rented a Click 125 when on trips.
The Honda Lead was almost the same price as the Honda Click 160 without the ABS. But the click would win in my mind looks and feels a better bike when we looked at them both.
Just bought a 160 ABS click and upgrading from a 125. Agree that it's a decent bike with obviously more kick and personally, for what I need it for, I didn’t see the point of paying an extra 30 - 40,000 THB for PCX or ADV. Totally agree with display. Also, bought a Honda Giorno for the eldest daughter and the display is exactly the same. I would also add that the Giorno is a great bike and in all honestly feels a better ride than the 160 especially with a passenger as the seat is bigger and wider. However, and I don’t care in the slightest if I offend any wokies, seems more of a bike for the Girls 5555
I liked the Giorno also, I liked the shape but the wife and I both liked the Click. Happy with the bike thanks for watching and taking time to comment. 😀
Lovely bike Les, my wife has a 125 and it's totally reliable. I'm a bit puzzled as to why people seem to pick up on the fact it has a single shock. Most modern full sized motorcycles are single shock and have been for many years. The number of shocks is irrelevant, it's the spring rate and damping etc that matter. If 1200cc superbikes are ok with one shock the Click will be just fine.
Thanks for that never thought about what the big bikes have. Thanks for the info. It is a great little bike.
Thanks for the upload. I have just sold my click 125 and looking to upgrade to the 160 but was thinking of going to the ADV because of the suspension (double shocks) and also the wider tires(130/70 rear). I hit a pot hole at 50k which deflated the rear tire and I lost control and laid it on it's side. I upgraded the soft wall Pirelli tire which come standard with the bike and put an after market hard walled tire on and had no further issues. Best of luck and thanks for the great review
Thanks for watching and taking time to comment.
Hi Les, I've got a Click 160 that I bought last year at Valentine's Day. I rode down to Phuket and Krabi from Pattaya (twice) on the stock suspension and upgraded to the stiffest YSS front and rear available. The upgrade made the ride nice and stiff, especially the front end, which was constantly bottoming out at high speed when I hit potholes.
The rear doesn't sag at all, even with over 200kg on the bike (doubling, I'm not 200kg yet). The cost of the upgrade was 8300 baht. They included a spare spring which you're welcome to if you want to swap it out with your stock spring. I'm going to ride through Rayong on Sunday and can drop it somewhere if you like.
Thanks for that, we never intend to go long distance on this bike as we have a car, I will look at upgrading the rear suspension one day. Thanks for watching.
Hey Les. Sound is great. We can even hear the birds in the background. Great video! :)
Thanks for that.
Thx Les for the honest review & glad you got the new bike sorted out eventually. The click is 1 of the most popular bikes as great for local driving & shopping trips etc…plus with more powerful engine it packs a punch now. I’ve rented a few on my trips & they’re fine. Only drawback which you said was just the 1 shock on the back….whereas the PCX/ ADV has 2 shocks but bigger bikes with a bigger price.
ADV is real nice.
I had the PCX before it is a longer wheel base and a heavier bike, we like the flat deck much more easy for lady's to get on and off and of course the shopping sits on the deck. The ADV my friend has this but I still prefer the click. The last one was a good one and this one is as good as the last one.
Excellent review
Thank you kindly it is a nice bike and as I'm a big guy I look better on this than the Honda Lead.
Good morning Les... beautiful bike mate 👍👍
Morning Bill thanks for that.
My prob too with panel display during the day, its barely readable 😅 Yamaha has better panel display, but Honda has much power tho even with backride. 💪🏼
Thanks for the comment. It does not spoil the Ride experience.
Thanks Lez, Barry Sheene used a mono shock rear end, if there's no adjustment on it I would live with it for a while it will probably be fine. My concern is the electronic, keyless and digital systems I hope it proves me wrong but electronics for electronics sake is a recipe for disaster on small commuter bike but it's hard to find a simple commuter these days👍
I am a fan of simple things, the more you put on a vehicle the more things can go wrong. The last Click 9 years no problem, lets hope I can say the same in 9 years.
good real world review.
wish it had a kick starter.
I agree thanks for watching.
Don’t forget when not riding to hit the bottom button on the remote until it blinks red. If you don’t after a long time not riding it will drain your battery. It happened to me.
Thanks for that, will do.
Very nice bike!
Thanks it is and I would recomend.
Les, in Australia a lot of people ride with the lights on for safety reasons during the day. My question is, if you had your lights on during the day would the speedo panel light up making it clearer to see.
Hi thanks for the comment, the head lights are on all the time here but there must be a sensor when it gets dark the panel lights up. Will keep looking. If I cant find it I will ask at the garage when it goes in for the 1st service.
thanks Les you have sold me 😁
Thanks even the bad points are not too bad.
I always disconnected the the engine stop function on the 125 which is activated when the side stand is down to prevent battery drain when forgetting to turn the key off. Simple process of removing bottom guard to gain access. I'm assuming it's the same on the 160.
We have never forgot yet, can't see how people forget. love the bike though.
Abs works great 👍 160 click light and powerful
Just needs a better upgrade the shock at the back 🙄
We never had a problem with the shock I'm sure if there was a problem Honda would do something about it. But many people say this and I don't know why.
@@RetiredandLivingthedream putting a single shock keeps the price down for Honda
Adv has twin rear shock and decent front forks but cost alot more money but rides so much better
But bang for buck click 160 Abs is the best
Hi Les. I was looking at buying a bike and was thinking about the PCX 160 because it looks great, but it looks a bit cumbersome. I wasn't keen on the Click, because it was a 125, but I like the look of them. Would you say the Click 160 is smaller and lighter than the PCX 160 or about the same??
Hi and thanks for the comment, the PCX has a longer wheel base and is a heavier bike than the Click 160. The Click top of the range is also 30,000 Baht cheaper than the PCX. Having had both bikes I prefer the Click.
@@RetiredandLivingthedream Thank you
Hey lez you can buy flat usbc cables my çover is so flexible it allows it to be closed while the cable charges my phone
Hi and thanks for the suggestion, as we don't go far on the bike this problem is not an issue for us but for others it may be. The flat cable sounds like a good idea. Thanks for taking time to comment.
Do your shoulders block half of the mirrors on this bike? I got an old (2018) Honda Forza 300cc, and my shoulders block a small portion of the mirror.
Yes partly obscured but it was the same on the Honda Click 125, so I am aware of the partial view.
What size of motor bike can you ride in Thailand and what do you recommend for insurance I only have a uk driving licence which has you know can ride a bike upto 125cc
From day 1 here you can ride what ever bike you chose, Getting your Thai license is not difficult at all. Always go for the best insurance motorbike accidents here in Thailand are very high.
if i have a CBS version, is it worth changing it to a ABS version?
Hi in all honesty I would go for the CBS as it is about 7,000 Bhat cheaper, we only drive slow anyway it was me who liked the ABS and in my opinion get everything you can safety wise. But everything else is the same apart from the brakes. Thanks for watching.
Honda click 160 dual abs or only front?😊
I will ask the next time I am at Honda.
My girl is 4'11 I'm 5'5. I'm wondering if this would be good for her.
I know she could ride it. What I'm concerned is... can she stand up between the floor boards when at a stop? Or hill stop etc?
How tall is your wife?
Perhaps then the Honda Lead or the scoopy which are lower. My wife is on tiptoes when stopped.
@@RetiredandLivingthedream The Honda Lead is in the Philippines? I like the look of that one. Perfect for city.
Do you know the price difference between the click 160 and the ADV 160
Sorry no, as we were only looking at the Click and Lead we did not enquire the price of the ADV we both did not like the ADV so just looked at these bikes we liked.
How do you find it with the 1 shock on the back
We had the 125 for 9 years with one shock and we had no problem, the same with this one I know its new but it rides the same as the 125. A nice bike. Thanks for watching.
@@avro9707 Nor did I compare it with the PCx or the ADV The ADV is an all round bike for both off road and on road. The PCK is a longer wheel base and a different ride to both. They all have good points and bad. The buyer of such a bike will chose their requirements. We chose the bike that fitted our wants and are happy with the result.
Hate the single shock
Why, we have never had a problem with it. What problems do people have with the single shock.
How much did the bike cost in total with ABS? Or did i miss the price in the vid?
If memory serves me right. I think he disclosed the price for the abs & none abs in a previous video when he initially purchased the bike
2024 Honda Click 160 with ABS is 69,900 baht
Hi I did the price on the video before but the Click with ABS is 69,900 without ABS 63,900 Thanks for watching.
You need a Brighton flag on the antenna…
I might put my Logo on the bike.
Bro i wanted that one can you send me one in the philippines 😅😅😅😅😂😂❤❤❤
Next Day delivery ok😀
@@RetiredandLivingthedream ok bro for sure
