I First heard this track at the London Planetarium @ Madame Tussaud s,whilst watching the cosmos light up, this track was playing in the background so I asked the title of the album & then bought the last copy in Hmv Oxford St. This is one of those albums that reduces me to tears of joy as it brings back so many happy memories of my childhood. Always a pleasure to hear this track. Thankyou.
My dear master Vangelis. Your music goes into my soul and captivate it with its beauty, it is some energy to hold onto in this global pandemic wish you safe and well love you.

Jack Wilkinson night time in the countryside afraid of bears and wild boars . And all that you will hear are the dogs barking and the frogs by the lake. Look up at the stars and chill knowing even they are here to protect you.
It is because it was composed for a movie of the same name "¿No oyes ladrar los perros?" based in a short story by Mexican writer Juan Rulfo. It is about a father whose son is dying, and in order to save him, he needs to carry him on his shoulders to the closest city to get proper treatment. However, the father is not actually proud of his son, he actually feels he does not deserve to live, because he wasted his life in bad things (he is not the best kid in town, if you know what I mean). In fact, the son constantly asks him throughout the story "Why don´t you let me here to die?" But still, he helps him, he is his father after all. The line "Do you hear the dogs barking?" is taken from the father in a part of the story. :)
One of the best melodies of Vangelis ever his performance is astonishing

Very beautiful and touching piece of music. Vangelis is a true artist, I love his work ever since I first heard of him way back in 1976.
A great man

I can't believe this beautiful composition is titled "Can you hear the dogs barking?" I've never heard any barking dogs that sounded like this.
