I think every Punjabi that moves to Canada has PR at the back of his/her mind. Don’t know why got shocked.
I was criticized a lot by not working overtime while i was studying... My roommates thought i was privileged... But the problem was they came here promising their parents that they'll somehow pay for the fees for next semesters by themselves... That's practically impossible unless you compromise your studies for that... And that's not a good financial decision in my opinion... None of them managed to learn anything out of their course and still haven't got the job in their respective fields...
same case with me, all my friends think that I was wasting my time sitting at home rather than not working extra hours but now when we all have graduated, they are all worried.

There are over 900,000 international students in Canada. 2023 Express Entry target is 88,220; and the number of ITAs drawn YTD is 110,266. IRCC would over-draw on purpose because many ITAs won't be successful.
With so many international students in Canada, the odd is against them in getting PR with the small Express Entry target. Canada is choosing those from prioritized occupations and/or with French language proficiency, the rest can return home unless provinces express a need for them through PNP's. Therefore, choose your course and your province (for easier PNP) carefully. In the end of 2022, more than 51% (approx. 412,000) of Canada's international students were in Ontario, fighting for jobs, housing, and PNP slots.
International student numbers will be cut in half for 2024

If someone is doing 2 years course
First year do any job you get save gic save for fees and as soon as you are done w 1st year. Start looking out for field so that once you are done w your course you have full fledged field job. That's what i did also, that's what i guide to others as well.

Must admit I came here for computer networking program. Studied first semester till mid-term. I was a guy helping others with assignments and have almost full marks in every course. But due to depression and peer pressure changed my college to some random generals two rooms college.
Worst decision of my life.

You can just look at job ads from Canada (down to the province and city).
I still don’t agree with this ideology of working a full time job and then do side hustle, rather than focus on getting a decent full time job and do investing and shit.
But at the end of the day you have to realise that your 20s and 30s will be gone if you just focus on earning please enjoy too
thats necessary for lower income earners....those of us that earn a substantial salary have no need to work beyond that. I work 35 hours a week at my FT job.
There are 500k Indian students in Canada and 37 k from Punjab and 20k are Sikhs . But the Hype is every one thinks all the people from india are Sikhs . My Request to those 20k Sikh students ..Please don't get in to the traps of drug and Terror elements and spoil the future
Just stay in India, you won't have to experience any problems that Canada will dish out to you, e.g. part time jobs are scarce, rents are way up the creek, food costs very high, many colleges have 100% Indians in the class/es so no diversity, winters are very harsh, cultural differences, Canada is a meat eating country, etc.
These bloggers are giving a rosy picture and how to undercut the system.

I’m not a student but this was good information for anyone coming as a student especially the TFSA, RRSP, FHSA part.
Who is saying That Canada is bad , The people who r doing labour jobs suffers the most and this happens in India too. (Not saying that these are not the good jobs )Atleast Canada has Minimum wage system and labour laws .And the people who has some education can easily settle in here. Just starting 3-4 years u have to do Hardwork and in India u have to do more hardwork because of more competion. But u can't get that salary that we expect. Like The avg salary In Canada Is 70k and u can give 400-500$ to ur parents living In India.But In India the top 10 percent earns 25k .Baat rhi parents ki to vo konsa lifetime dur hai hmse 2-3years ki baat hoti h .
Not saying India is a bad country .Its our mother but due to politicians It cannot achieve the position that it could be .

its closer to $65k as per multiple sources I just checked. I dont know anyone that arrived as a student that is earning that even years later....also need to take expenses into account. 65k is too less for mortgage. It will barely cover all living expenses. To be comfortable here one must earn min 100k and then its better if you have a partner with similar income so together you have 200k . Then you can buy a house!

Sir my course is an Artificial Intelligence course 1 year diploma ( Jan intake 2024) But I have no knowledge about computers except basic things like excel ,word,pp. Now I am in Canada my friends are suggesting that I should change the course and take any field course in Nova Scotia for fast PR because no company will hire me because of my diploma and without reference, now I am in Canada and I have a lot of pressure . What should I do please reply to me and suggest to me what I should do.......
Switch to Computer Science. There are more jobs as software deeloper or programmer, which is a prioritized STEM occupation. No one will hire a diploma guy for AI. Anyone serious will hire from universities with degrees.

You need good communication skills to get hired. More importantly, it is not a prioritized occupation. You will need PNP for PR. Look for a province with easier PNP streams for this occupation.
Make a separate video on......how to come canada for doing only job. Not for studying. Means doing graduation in india
I will advise you to consider New Zealand or Australia. I'm working in New Zealand and to be honest with you, I really love the system of work here.
get some real work experience there in India, then apply directly for PR. It is cheaper, better and quicker option of getting PR than study visa!

Merko laga aap genuine ho aapki videos pe trust krke yahan aaya. 5 months ho gae hai 5 din hi kaam mila. 350 resumes baant chuka hu shops or restaurants me or more than 1000 job online apply kar chuka hu. Aajkal Uber eats start ki hai usme bhi din ka 50$ or 70 $ hi bante hai wo bhi downtown Toronto me 12 hrs kaam krke. Subha go train se toronto jata hu har train full hoti hai students se jo uber eats krne jaa rahe hai. Toronto me itna bacha uber eats krra hai ki order hi ni milte hai, ab aapke video ke according to ye jitne bhi bachon ke pass kaam ni hai wo sabhi galti hi krre hai. At least sach to batao yaar jo desh me chal raha hai. Aap log ground reality ni batate ho. Mehnat krne se koi ni darta par mehnat krne ko koi jobs hi na ho to us mehnat ka airplane bna kar udae kya????

I will suggest New Zealand to you. You can easily get a PR after completing your studies. I did a trade course here in New Zealand and was lucky to get my pr after completing the course

I can say these are the real causes of why many students fail. They don't even know what to do after they land here, especially our Punjab brothers who are coming for very general programs like business and accounting, they end up driving trucks. No offence, nothing wrong with driving trucks, but not a great career in the long run. Rather, we should put a major focus on skill trades. I represent a lot of students with their immigration files and it really surprises me when I see their salary for the work they do in skill trades. Great content and practical info, keep going, brother.

Engineering technician and technologist are not prioritized occupations announced by IRCC in 2023. They belong to general Express Entry draws, requiring CRS score of 500 and above for ITA (invitation to apply) PR. It is very difficult to get over 500 CRS score without the help of PNP (Provincial Nominee Program). Your son will need compare PNP's now to see which province's PNP has better chance for PR. PNP is different in each province. He may need to relocate to another province after graduation.
P.S. Engineer requires 4-yr Engineering Bachelor degree in university. College diplomas yield engineering technician and technologist.
