On this episode: come try these delicious cassava croquettes from my homeland!
Ingredients:
- 1 kg. (2 lbs.) of (cooked) cassava
- 1 kg. (2 lbs.) of bacalao (salted fish)
- 1 large onion
- 1 large tomato
- 4 cloves of garlic
- sunflower oil
- freshly chopped parsley
- 100 ml. of milk
- melted butter
- egg wash
- breadcrumbs
- spicy ketchup sauce (or any sauce to your liking)

I've never cooked with Cassava, so I'm about to learn something new. So awesome to meet you at The Taste Awards! Andrew beat us both, but no matter...to even be listed in the same category speaks volumes! Don't give up, I didn't win the first two years I had nominations and I have faith you will WIN!
It is such a healthy food, I eat this quite often instead of rice. Yes, very nice meeting you and your friends and to be nominated alongside Andrew Zimmern in itself is victory, I agree, lol ;) Who knows, maybe next year I'll be among the winners and I swear, I'm wearing my medal TO and AT the airport... INSIDE the airplane... yeah... !! LOOOOOLLLL!!! 😂😂

@FOOD & THE SINGLE GUY Krijg gewoon honger als ik ernaar kijk! Heerlijk! Vond het trouwens zoooo jammer dat ik je live gemist heb!!! Heb 'm nu al 3x gemist (terwijl ik er eigenlijk altijd bij ben)... Maar de live is niet meer standaard vrijdags om 20.00 (als er een live is...) Hop[elijk ben je binnenkort nog een keer live en kan ik erbij zijn, want mis het ontzettend! (Maar dan wel vr 20.00 of nieuwe vaste tijd hihihi abu) Take care! love ya bro!
Ze waren ook heerlijk inderdaad. Ik ben niet zo'n fan van live gaan, ik deed het omdat veel mensen dat vroegen. Er zijn meestal niet zoveel mensen aanwezig, dus vandaar. Maar hou t in de gaten, wie weet ga ik binnenkort toch maar weer even live...
