Awesome video! My dad drove Redhill last year in his 3.2 Ford ranger. Standard suspension with slighter bigger tyres, he just road the middle mannetjie and the side wall to the stay out the ruts.
The Toyota 70 series Land Criusers are the way to go , if you dont know how to drive , you will instictively hate them but they are the best , no driver aids to nanny you , just you and your skill , definately not easy to break either .
Red hill has sure changed from when we did it 2006 era, all got up, fairly flat, loose rocks but if you picked your line and in the right gear you made it. Now its got very deep and rather challenging and only the well prepared and know how to do its get up. You guys put on a nice short informative entertaining show...well done
Thank you! Yes, we spoke to the owner and he said it is to difficult to maintain plus the hardcore 4x4 enthusiasts were complaining it was to easy. So he just leaves it and lets nature, plus the drivers make it worse and worse, but more challenging.
Depends on budget. Fj is a very nice and capable vehicle, but it runs pretty heavy on fuel and packing space inside is slightly smaller. Fortuner is also very capable and has more packing space inside. It's perfect if you use the vehicle as a daily as well.

One of the nice tracks here in the western cape! Bit of everything.
Fully agree, such a nice diversity of a trail!

Kiff video bud. Looks like a nice challenging track

It is a really fun track, pretty technical.
Cool Route- super video 👍😎
Awesome video Dieter!
Thanks!
Tune at 8:05 fits Hannes' driving perfectly😂
100% 😅
Banger video like usual and a great team for the day👊🏻
Fully agree!
SA needs more rigs like the 76.
The off-road space is growing strong now. Not long to go then we will have some amazing looking rigs in SA!
Walk the route before not afterwards 😅
Is dit my mud flap?
You could make an entire video of Hannes’ comments 😂
Hannes is such a character, always brings entertainment to the trips!
The 76 has a chequered plate on the bonnet / hood. Could you tell me where you got that from or who makes them?
Thanks
Where can i find the 76 series of instagram???looks fire💥🏖😎
The owner was called (@pumbaasadventures) but he's sold it since and I don't know who the new owner is.
😍👍
Does it matter what 4x4 you buy if you're going to mod it?
Not at all, but more popular brands have the advantage of having more mods available.
@@DieterPey (in your opinion).. FJ or Fortuner? Mostly solo adventures with an occasional passenger every now and then.

@@DieterPey 🙏🏾 Thank you so much. Hope to bump into you some day on the trails.
I'm sure we will bump into each other somewhere along the way!
So Fox over Terrain Tamer
Depends on your budget, you also do get a Pro Shock from Terrain Tamer. Hannes was running their "standard" shock upgrade kit in this video.
