  • Craig outlines the ways in which we can change the face of business with the use of technology, business development and trending methods of engagement. He demonstrates that it is entirely possible to unite sectors with common themes and bring people together. Technology plays a major part in daily life and we will only get more integrated as time goes on.
    Craig Gilchrist is the Digital Director at Eden Agency, which is at the forefront of proximity marketing. His team is one of the first in the world to release commercial iBeacon-powered apps. They currently boast over 1.5 million app downloads in multiple fields. Craig has been developing commercial software since graduating from the University of Teesside in 2004 and has been building apps for iOS since 2009. He is an avid reader and is always at the forefront of commercial technological developments. He also has a keen interest in developing gaming and children’s interactive media.

    Nice summary, you can tell the presenter particularly liked discussing the 'near future' of big data like smart cars, smart heating, smart locks... at some point soon we're going to have to drop the 'smart' moniker as everything will be smart! It was interesting to learn about proximity sensors in fast food restaurants - personally I've never received a push notification that quickly that I've ever considered it was happening! Good job overall :-))
