I notice there is a rising of huge age-gap dramas after the success of Dating in the kitchen. Not the type of pairing which the male lead is idol-like but the ones which the actress looks young and youthful and the male lead looks like...men. Don't know how to put it without offending anyone but the male lead's aura really screams mature man in a stereotypical definition of a masculine man, both physically and emotionally. And also all of these dramas always have this trope, the younger female lead is the aggressive one and always pursue the male lead first while the male lead being 'shy' or really rather very reserved either out of respect for the FL or them just being worried of female lead only has puppy love for them. Somehow I believe the writers made it that way so the male lead won't come off as a creep lol
