So far we've only had D series MPVs and the just revealed N series crossovers, but they are suppose to have E, Z, and A models coming too. So a sedan, a sports car, and maybe full size SUV? BYD is jumping straight from making cheap cars to having Denza luxury, Yangwang high end luxury, and also an offroad "F-brand". Meanwhile they are also showing to the public their high end tech this year too, including the Yisifang 4 motor drivetrain, the Yunnian fully independent active 4 wheel suspension (which they dropped today), and presumably a brand new autonomous driving suite coming soon (since the Denza N7 was revealed with integrated lidar). I don't know how BYD is able to marshall enough engineering resources to work on all these things simultaneously, but they are going full speed ahead with it all.

It is actually Buick GL8 and GAC Trumpchi M8. And while there is some overlap between the MPV and the 3 row Li Auto, there is a significant customer base that only looks to the MPVs in the Chinese market. The Li L9 is predominantly sold as a luxury 3 row family car, but MPV's like the GL8, D9, 009, Alphard, M8, Dreamer, are more like 50/50 family/corporate. Very few L9's will be chauffeur driven, but many MPVs are. That's also why the top trim versions of the MPVs have those first class airliner seats, individual screens, and WEBCAMS, so the second row passenger can conduct business in those vehicles, versus the L9 which has a giant ceiling mounted rear screen which is for entertainment only.

Most Jap cars are cheap but they are reliable and i got a cheap suzuki which till now less maintainace is still in running condition. I've seen older chinese car like the cherry qq lost transmition without any availability of parts in just 5 years. So my question is, how is the availability of the parts. Also going back to comparison with the alphard and this vehicle, atleast the alphard has actual buttons.

Cherry QQ was from over 15 years ago which isn't comparable to Chinese cars now. It's like comparing a JP car from 1965 to one from 1980. If the car has local dealers where you are at then parts aren't an issue of course. Also from the looks of it you tend to value the fixability of cars by non-official means very much. In that case you should prob stick with the old ICE solutions until new PHEVs and EV better established where you are

Of all the Chinese van that I saw on this channel, this the one that would own and drive. Proportions are like Kia Carnival coz of some “muscular” look or at least a rear shoulder line are pronounced and the fat tires. I just don’t like the grill. Too generic!
