The First Descendant is a free third-person cooperative action RPG shooter featuring high-quality graphics. They truly woke up and chose violence against non-attribute characters. It used to be equalized for each element, now they buffed all but left non-atts as they were. I hope it's a bug or an oversight. Should be 6/6/6/5 and it'd be the same 23 as most other got with the patch.
Hot fix notes says increased by 1.5x in missions that give 2 types of shards
@@BabaYaga0713 Still could be an oversight as it just doesn't make any sense. Before, all of them granted equal total amounts of shards, now there's no point in doing non-att missions at all. :/

So, as someone who prefers to play Ajax and Valby, the low void shard for non-att stings. With that said, I can sort of see why they decided to do that. Give a character some more value in an area. Bunny= trash farming, Enzo= vault farming, Sharen= Outpost farming. That sort of leaves Freyna, Blair and Viessa out so they designed it this way.
I wouldn't mind a +1 or +2 bump to non-att shards.
@@thorinhannahs4614 I see what you're getting at, but what's the value of Jayber or Ajax (Valby is a trash queen along with Bunny)? The way I see it, it should be an equal amount of shards for everyone (like it was before), so you either do a targeted elemental farm with 19/4 (or 20/3) or an all round farm with 6/6/6/5 with non-atts. A +1 wouldn't cut it. :)

they were already the worst at 3 3's and a 4 but it was at least close enough it could be justified you're farming all 4 mats at once, now they somehow got nerfed to all 4 at 3, while the others got a pretty significant buff.
You just saved me hours of farming….thank you! I was farming these completely wrong.
Dang I'm late, just an fyi, the best way to farm is all outpost, (tele between 2 or 3 u need on any map), then farm shards, them open, rinse and repeat. Much less downtime, less equipment swapping, way more variance for those who lose their minds doing the same loop on the same map.
As much as I'm enjoying and glad about the changes they made to material drops kind of a slap in the face to the player base that the non attribute farms didn't get a bump at all in the rewards, I get it's supposed to be a grind but the whole point is to be as efficient as possible when farming not running around from place to place and constantly have to change characters to farm, the whole point is to find the ONE place that gives you the fastest farm and grind that until your fingertips disappear or you get bored, this basically makes farming for all of them at once completely obsolete and it should always be a choice even if it is a little less efficient I'd rather get 6 or 8 of all than have to bounce around to get 20 here and 20 there

Second patch has reduced all these values. They mentioned an August update, possible alternate ways of obtaining
i farmed 5 to 25% chance pattern in infiltration outpost.
i got 32 pattern(2x16), wich is basically 32 x 4 time the same outpost with 5 min CD. 128 x 5 min wich is 10 hours.( so 5H as 2 pattern i need drop there, was more likely 7hours)
i need 36 inorganic + 9 organic per opening wich is equal to 1152 inorganic and 288organic
toxic echoswamp give 20 and 3 qnd is horrible to farm.
in order to have 1152 inorganic, i need to farm 58 time the void thing, about 30 times the organic void thing.
then open them, to have 10% chance to get the thing i need.
....

Or you learn how to play the game. You get sharen, you take her and hack the outpost, you then jump worlds and look for CD to reset Then you go and farm those til you have enough. Then you follow the charts for shards

Some of these aren't the best, for example Toxic - Inorganic at echo swamp. That might be the worst place to farm as the waves spawn 1 mob at a time through mostly 2 gates. Compared to others where the entire wave spawns instantly like in white gulch (mountain tops). Can do it much faster even tho it gives 3 less per run.

I wish they remove the element requirement for those void shard missions because certain rewards are locked behind them and you have to have a character with that element equipped in order to get the shards. Also the outpost cooldown needs to drop to 1min or atleast 2mins minimum. Also i wished they made it so you can repeat missions without having to be deported to albion and then us having to run back to activate it again.
They won't. They wanna force you to buy their characters or be frustrated farming for mats.

It's still a bad feeling gameplay loop. No one cares what the drop tables are when what they are doing is fun. I have been bouncing world's watch people fail these over n over on top of just not feeling fun. Hope devs address these issues. More doesn't=better... Better=better. Needs more mission Qol FR

Echo Swamp Derelict Covert is absolutely not the best place to farm inorganic shards. It's terrible. Enemies spawn one at a time, and very slowly.
100% feel this. I hate this place with a passion. What would be the best? White night gulch?
@@rdubyeah They're all slow and awful. They said good luck getting the shards for bunny or Ajax. Literally slowed me down to get Freyna and then do this garbage to get those characters.
Why is non attribute so trash wish the quantity was better because I hate farming for shards and it would be easy work with gley

What are void shards for?
Think of them as tokens. You need a certain amount of these specific tokens to open up void portals to fight mini boss. Every void portal takes 2 of certain void shards. I think there's 4-5 different types of shards.
Damn. Non-Attritube doesn’t give out anything worthwhile and electric is heavily lacking on polymer.
Guess I’ll have to wait until I grind for an ice or fire element before I can even touch some of these :/

My biggest issue with the Reactor missions are some of them are in close proximity to other missions and enemies tend to wander away.
I lost almost 50 shards from killing enemies attacking me from a reactor mission i wanted no part in. There was 2 people farming it over and over and i inadvertently shot one of their monsters and instantly lose shards even tho im not even close to the "battle".
Also shard fragment enemies that race off after area missions going on making me hunt the last one across the map only to have to race back to try to damage the shard in time to not repeat the wave....

Why would anyone farm non attribute if they only give a total of 12? Like is this for people with only 1 or 2 heroes?
That doesn't quite track as Bunny is very easily available and shoved in your face in the campaign. I think they wanted people to consider descendant rotation along with whatever farm rotation.
@@thorinhannahs4614 that would make sense if non attribute(a totally viable part of that rotation) wasnt shafted with the worse effeciency in void shards. I mean they throw literally everything at bunny. This game is bunny with a few others thrown in there
