Phantom Singer is seriously the most underrated Korean singing competition program. They have the best covers + top notch vocals and I got introduced to so many new songs through it.

TJ who is bilingual is like a supporting tree trunk. Go Hoonjung, the charismatic leader, is like a strong branch. It was so cool at 1:33 when he was enveloped by a swirling light singing “in the naked light”. Kim Hyunsoo’s high voice is like a lilting leaf. Then there is the soaring wind of Lee Byeori.

What a performance. Paul Simon's Sound of Silence is an iconic song in the American Folk genre. I fell in love with Simon & Garfukel music in the early 80's and loved them ever since. In fact, I was driving up in Scotland to a small village called Elgin and I heard the song Bridge Over Troubled Waters. I stopped at the high street and went into WH Smith shop and saw 7 cassessets of various albums by them. I bought them all. I still have them today but the collection has grown. Paul Simon is an incredible song writer coupled with Art Garfunkel angelic voice!!. Bit of trivia for you - Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel were called Tom & Jerry when they were at school together!!!

They are still active, they just haven't made a comeback together in a while😭 But some rumors say they might come back when Taejin finishes his contract with Burning Trot Man, which is in a few months. The other three members have had other singing activities too
