I guess that's the reason while their current live shows still have the same dramaturgic energy as their very first shows in 2007. You just see that he's coming from theatre...

Reminds me of Marcus Lyall and Adam Smith who has been doing chemical brothers live visuals for 25 years.
my friend brought me to the theater to watch this with him. I didn't know who Justice was.
I had 0 idea what the film was about, so for the first 30 mins I thought to myself, "they are talking but the small background music is pretty good. I guess this documentary is worth the money"

@@sallara7862 This is an audiovisual experience/work of art, quote from the producers: "The idea revolved around light and how to play with light. And how to make video become light. That is an unusual concept". So you can't remove it from the idea of the whole concept. As much as you like sound and how the play with waveforms of sound, there's the need of the visual elements to sustain the aesthetic experience (bc it was meant to b like this).

When I saw Iris in the movie theater, this played before the concert started. Does anyone else think that the concert should’ve been first? This was so long and it spoiled some moments of the concert for me. I always think that it’s odd when movies choose to have a behind-the-scenes component BEFORE you even see the movie.
I mean, you are right. But the thing is, this prepares you for what's about to come. What to expect and really how to properly watch it.
But most importantly, it gives more of a backstory to all the people that have barely heard or know the band. Believe me, when I went to the cinema there where a lot of people still explaining things to their family/friends. Maybe they shouldn't have showed so much footage of the complete film
The making-of is making sense imo. This makes sure you received the movie at its correct form, much more like art than a typical justice's concert.
321MrHaatz, They could’ve explained what the concert was supposed to be with two screens of text preceding the film (instead of 25 mins of people talking). Movies should speak for themselves. The behind-the-scenes stuff is for people who really liked what they saw, and want to know more about it. I also thought it was kinda lame that they told us that we’re supposed to watch it lying down and not dancing. If the concert makes me want to dance, I’m going to dance. 🤷♂️ This is Justice after all.
@@iownu92 The making-of before the concert was a great move imo. Them talking about the floor with reflection had an big impact on me. I wouldn't have enjoyed it (or even noticed it) that much if they showed it after the concert 🤔
gubs - I actually averted my eyes for most of the interviews. I understood the reflections without the explanation. It’s just like people say about comedy: if you have to explain the joke, there is no joke. If the effect they’re going for needs an explanation, then it’s not a good effect.
C'est beaucoup mieux d'avoir ce making of ici post visionnage d'Iris qu'avant la projection du film, je suis heureux de pouvoir le revoir maintenant, mais voir quelques images du film (non divulgué dans les bandes annonces) juste avant la projection c'était pas top, ça en dit et en montre trop alors que c'est quelque chose de BONUS au film. J'avais été vraiment frustré d'avoir cette vidéo avant le film, je ne sais pas si c'était le cas dans tout les cinémas, mais (spoiler alert) dévoilé l'arc narratif m'avait fait boucher mes yeux et oreilles (dans une salle de cinéma on peut pas mettre pause etc...) en tout cas trop hâte d'avoir le film à la maison ^^
Oui je suis totalement d'accord avec toi, c'était frustrant de voir des images qui te " spoile " avant le film en lui-même. Il est vraiment dommage je trouve que ce making-off soit avant le film à proprement parlé
absolument d'accord, voir le making off avant m'a troublé, j'avais l'impression de sortir un peu de l'expérience. Dommage
j'ai eu aussi ce making of avant le film au cinéma de Luc besson c'est vrai qu'il aurait dû le passé après film mais bon c'était vraiment cool de bon souvenir merci beaucoup justice

Saw this in the cinema before the movie. So awesome to be able to rewatch it but now I'm hoping it releases on Blu-ray but a digital version would be fine too. I wanna rewatch while high. I was a bit high in the cinema but obviously I wasn't gonna pass out beforehand. 🤣

What an amazing little behind the scenes. I love the direction their going with both their music and IRIS the film. Its also a wonder & incredible on how they are able to make something like this happen. I wish I could watch it!! Keep up the work guys

I don't remember seeing them breaking jukeboxes or whatever in IRIS. Only the light show and them on a stage with the camera moving. Did I watch something wrong or the footage they're showing in this video is from other clips?

Merci pour avoir fait cette vidéo explicative en français dans le texte. Ensuite je suis vraiment déçu de ne pas pu voir IRIS au cinéma à cause d'une fichue répète de théâtre. Alors un grand merci pour cette sortie dans le commerce. J'espère cependant que dans une dizaine d'année, votre film concert ressortira au cinéma dans un cinéclub de quartier pour que je puisse le voir sur grand écran.
j'ai été le voir avec mon fils au cinéma de luc besson on c'est vraiment régalée, justice manque beaucoup, une question un jour pourrait vous sortir le concert de Nîmes et pourquoi pas plusieurs live de plusieurs festivals qui on capturé les lives et vive justice et leurs nouveau albums merci beaucoup au groupe justice le plus grand groupe de France cordialement karl

The film looks visually stunning and I look forward to seeing it. That said, the crowd energy is something I like the most in any live show. The album “Woman Worldwide” sounded almost note for note like any bootleg I saw online but without the crowd to add to the excitement. I understand what they were going for but it doesn’t excite like a live recording would have.

@@jonnymo1976 @harvey Meanwhile, I found out what item it is: Its, as you guessed right, a "Heavy Metal"-Magazine (Comic-Magazine) Merch Jacket. Its Silver with completely black trim and a black print. There is another similar Bomber jacket with the same print, but its white and has black-white-black trim. Very unfortunately they are items from the late 70's. So this thing is pretty vintage. I dont know if i'll ever find one in Europe...

I saw it in cinema, and the visuals were astonishing, but they said it would be a Dolby Atmos experience, but the sound came through the front left and right side... Was that a broken speaker system or was the film in stereo? I hope the film will also appear in digital stores, because I don't have a nice tv and tv speakers, so a blueray would be useless for me... But I love Justice, since the first beat I heard.

It isn't worth it. Trust me when I say that. I saw iris and they have a 30 min segment at the beginning explaining why it's so poor
