This is maybe the best quote I’ve ever heard about art. I relate to this sentence so intensely and feel like it perfectly encapsulates what art is about.
I completely agree - this is what I tell people when they complain about not being able to hear Nolans dialogue. He literally buries it under music and SFX to make you feel the scene, to make you laser focus your attention and feel the action.

I personally disagree with that.
I want to become a musician - maybe compose something for an orchestra or be a rockstar - but how am I gonna do this if I dont understand music theory? My biggest inspiration to become a musician is Radiohead and Thom yorke, but he studied a lot to become the musician he is.
I think that to love the art you are working with, you need to understand it. how gonna still love a person if you don't know her/him? I think that if you truly love this person you need understand how this person is. Now taking of this platonic love thing, various artists touch their audience because they know how to do it.
Thats just my point of, you probably will never read this, but hey, art is cool :)
@@ithan0404 He is not talking about creating art nor working on something. He is talking about experiencing it. While you are listening to music, you don't need the know music theory. You just need to feel. I also thought his response was more on "life" due to the tweet.

His legs are still crossed defensively but he does seem more eased
Actually the constant, excessive and intense head nodding was not natural and professional. It gave me a sense of awkwardness throughout the whole video. Moreover, his constant unreasonable smile, plus trying hard to stare into his eyes which Nolan didn't share most of the time. Overall he was trying too hard to impress and was being too agreeable. It comes up as fake and artificial. I would definetly suggest others not to act like this in a social setting because it puts you in a bad position where you won't be taken seriously.

I didn't even watch this interview completely and hands down this is the best interview. The questions were amazing and the answers Mr. Nolan have prove how intelligent and articulate he is. Kudos to the interviewer.

Tu trouves? Pour moi ce qu’il raconte ne vaut pas plus que ce que mon oncle pourrait raconter… son domaine de compétence est le cinéma, l’interroger sur autre chose sonne bizare (j’ai fait un doctorat en optimisation de réseaux de neurones donc l’ia je connais un peu)
Never heard this guy interview someone but he's instantly become one of my favorites. Very unique and engaging interview style.
This video should serve as a textbook template on how to structure interviews. Engaging content, curious host and laid back guest. So pleasing for a viewer to watch. I bet most of 'em genuinely smiled when Hugo/Nolan smiled :)

the amount of respect I have for this man right here is limitless. In today's ununpredictable and speedy times comes this brilliant man who refused to use CGI, smartphones, social media, etc and defies all the norms to create something that is humane and himself becomes more of a human in the process.

I don't think so. You're using a computer rn, you uses wheels to move arounds, that's so easy. Neolithic people did it all by foot and couldn't chat with people at the other edges of the world like that.
He said he didn't use it for a specific reason. He never said he didn't because it was "easy" or "stupid" or "diminishing" or anything. A stupid quote.

@@zbraah1231 Au contraire je le trouve bien plus précis que bon nombres d'autres personnes sur le sujet des IA. Il comprends l'enjeu de cette technologie et en voit déjà le potentiel outil qui pourra aider les hommes à l'avenir.
Il revient même dessus plus tard en précisant qu'on ne pourra légiférer que lorsque l'on aura "affronter" de vraies problématiques concrètes soulevées par leurs utilisations. Et encore une fois il a raison, pour le moment on ne connait qu'une infime partie du potentiel des IA, l'exemple des IA qui "volent" les voix des comédiens de doublage est parfait puisque grâce au fait que nous ayons pu être confronté à ce cas précis, nous pourrons légiférer dessus.
Il en va de même pour tous les autres aspects l'IA à l'avenir. Il a été très juste à mon sens.

Bravo pour cette interview bien préparée, de qualité et à la hauteur de Christopher Nolan. Contrairement à beaucoup d'autres interviews similaires et plutôt basiques, j'ai trouvé qu'elle respectait l'intelligence de la personne, de ses films et des spectateurs. Il y a eu des questions très intéressantes et on regrette que l'interview ne dure pas 2-3h pour l'entendre développer son propos...

7:00 this is why I love Nolan. His films don’t have that fake CGI greenscreen feel that 99% of blockbuster movies have.
Sincèrement c’est l’une des meilleurs interviews que j’ai eu l’occasion de regarder. L’intervieweur est meilleur que bien des journalistes. Il laisse Nolan s’exprimé sans l’interrompre et surtout on sent que l’émission a été bien préparé. Chapeau pour ton travail Hugo et aussi à l’équipe ! Nolan est mon réalisateur préféré ses films ont des thématiques très pertinentes. Encore chapeau 🎩 je connaissais ta chaîne mais je ne te suivais pas souvent mais je crois que ça va changé.

On a vraiment l'impression que les invités (je pense aussi à l'interview de Hugh Jackman par exemple) prennent plaisir à s'exprimer sur des sujets peut-être plus profonds et intéressants que ceux proposés lors du traditionnel marketing autour de la sortie d'un film. Et le format laisse penser que ça se fait assez naturellement (vidéo très bien montée également !).

Let me tell you guys a short story:
I went to the theaters with my parents, and we all didn't find the movie entertaining at all, i found it really boring and i thought there was as lot of dialogue instead of action like the movies we're used to see.
But i found myself going to theaters 7 times to watch this movie, because once one realizes the masterpiece this movie is, you cannot go back.
This isn't about the Bomb or something else ( which btw it didn't make it to my expectations) , but it's really about the story and the Oppenheimer's point of view, and once you understand the movie and the message behind it, you realize that this movie truly is a work or art.
A Masterpiece to be remembered for generations to come.
Ps. This movie has the greatest score i've ever heard in any movie EVER, made by Ludwig Goransson.
10/10 a real masterpiece.
