There’s nothing really proven about his business acumen, what most of these rapper have done to date is monetise their fame, besides Hov none of them has displayed actual business knowledge, Jay has including setting up complex deals. These rappers for the most part are great marketers who get compensated for it but couldn’t work their way around a balance sheet, financial report & forecast otherwise they’d be making much more knowing how underpriced they are in value. They also wouldn’t be giving labels, agents, accountants, lawyers or any other reps as much as they do, including athletes.
Imagine giving an agent 5-20% of millions?? I wish these agents or labels would go and tell a Jewish businessman that they want even 10 or 20% for bringing them deals that’s coming their way already. They’d never hire you unless you’re getting paid a fixed salary, wage or by the hour. Don’t overhype these guys business sense because it’s not that great

lu na I actually somewhat agree but in terms of structuring deals I think Jay is the best out of all of them, understanding the backer ends, equity vs upfront money, points, protecting his stake from being diluted or acquisitions to boost the value of his company to sell of a chunk at a higher price, he’s shown this many times. I actually think Jay is a great businessman & advisor, I think the other rappers however are mostly just marketers/ advertisers & not even advisers, people tend to think because you make x amount it makes you a great business person. Athletes have proven that idea to be false countless times😂
