Back when I had cable in the mid-to-late 1970s, during the spring and summer, if I was tuned to a station that had that kind of reception, the station would end up getting its signal temporarily kayoed. Nothing could be done about it, it was caused by atmospheric conditions.
Thanks for this great interview with the best singer I've ever been privileged to hear. Even with a voice that had begun to fade, he is still head and shoulders over others.
You have to see Eddie Fisher (it`s on UA-cam) walking the floor while serenading the crowd at a club in Vegas. He stops at the table of one woman who is so nervous she blinks, she looks away. Fisher fixes on her and says authoritatively `Look at me`...`Look at me` The woman docilely turns her face to him and is under his spell. Burton`s voice. Fisher`s voice. Fisher`s stare. I can see why Elizabeth Taylor had a hard time in deciding. I think the pivotal thing had less to do with sex appeal than publicity. People were mad for Burton. It was a good idea.
What a hypocrite in his book about his loves forget the name bashed Debbie and Connie to bits here cute girl, great girl great mother didn't have the guts to say it verbally? lol
poor guy. he really got the short end of the stick way back then. don't think he was ever able to re-establish his name or fame after that. must have really broken him.
He was such a good looking man. His plastic surgeon should have been shot! He ruined Eddie's face. He was always great to see in Vegas! TY for posting. RIP EF
thanks for uploading!

He sang better in the 1950’s. The drugs maybe changed his Voice.
I hated that song
