But after watching this interview, my faith has been restored :) What a delight he is and funny too! Obviously he wasn't perfect and I'm not saying he's a saint but he isn't as bad as people made him out to be. Thank you for sharing this video with us and now I can say that Eddie was not only great in the 1950s and early 60s, but also in later years too. And his voice held up so well!

His face lifts took Eddie away. But still, nice guy. Greatest voice ever.

I identified with Eddie and loved to sing his recordings (I was about 10 years younger). My high school classmates said I sounded like him and prophesied that I would have a TV show called "Dr. Pepper Time." It didn't happen but I married a girl who thought she looked like Liz Taylor.

I'm 26 years old and I've been a huge Fisher fan for about 4 years now. I know a lot about him from his younger days and have seen various footage of him from the 1950s and 1960s and based on what I read about him during his later days, I assumed that he wasn't a nice guy...(continued...)

Wow, you are very young to like Eddie Fisher's music, hopefully there are some young people who don't like the kind of junk that is called music these days. I have to say I knew Eddie pretty well, and I can tell you he was a very nice man, and a wondeful entertainer. He was not anything like the tabloids painted him. He was happy in his later years with his wife, and you could tell they were crazy about each other. Sadly, she passed away in 2001.

Eddie was my favourite singer in the fifty's but lost me when he left Debbie Reynolds.

Good morning. My name is Margaret Fisher and I came on to this video and why is the quality so poor and is there any way we can fix this? I am a Fisher and I am looking at all interviews done and making sure that they are properly displayed. Yours truly the Fs

This video was recorded off TV in a rural location with poor signal reception. If you contact the Channel 9 Network in Australia they may have a better copy in their archives. (Rohan, realnicemusic)

He never admits to being an add with leaving his family for another woman and being anything near sorry for what he done to Debbie. Always says no regrets, which I find to be just a man with a huge ego...

Debbie Reynolds yes I know she died of a broken heart the day after Carrie did. She never shut up about him doing her wrong and Debbie was such a ham and he said was always on. She never add an off switch.

Eddie's really one to talk about Bing Crosby, the only one of Bing's kids who really attacked him was Gary who if anything was jealous had a short lived career never held a job after and subsequently shortly after the trust fund his mother Dixie had set up for him ran out he killed himself go figure. Was Bing perfect no nobody is, were there rumors of him being somewhat cold yes he was a very private reclusive person. Had very few close friends he wasn't even that close with Bob Hope.

Several people who have worked with Bing have also expressed dismay over his often rude behavior toward them. An actress who worked with Bing on White Christmas was humiliated when he turned his back on her and walked away when she tried to start a conversation with him between takes on a scene they were working on.

@@jackanthony976 In a book about Crosby called "The Hollow Man," the author writes of a feisty actress who was given a "walking brush off" by Crosby. She wouldn't stand for it and got in his face, one of the few people who stood up to his cold behavior.

This ex-husband pf Debbie has acted in un-decently. I can not find any respect for him.......since he was not paternal nor masculine. He seems like a little boy, who never grew up! I married a man like him, who walked out on his family. He never grew up!
