But North Korea isn't know for making things just for show, normally their parade equipment is real or at least a mock up of a future weapons system still in development. But yes, 90% of their armored forces are Type 59s, T-62 clones, and some garbage 1960s style armored cars and their air force is mostly MiG-15s and bi-planes. That said, infantry equipment isn't too expensive and it isn't out of the question that they might be able to modernize all their soldiers' personal equipment very soon.
