What a beautiful spot. I love that end shot, with your hair all windblown, your skin tanned, it looked you'd been swimming all day. So natural. So pretty.
Awww June is winter in Brazil!!!! But if you still want to go to beaches when you come, I strongly recommend the northeast region, you get the best chance of sunny and warm weather there, while if you go to Rio or to the south it's probably gonna be cold water and cloudy days. My favorite beach in the world is Cumuruxatiba, south of Bahia (a state in northeast region) close to the city of Prado, but it's a tiny town, very remote and calm, I recommend Pousada Rio do Peixe to stay in. It's the best place I've ever been in my life, honestly. It's a little hard to get there, it's very remote, but totally worth it. And it's warm even in the winter, you still have a chance of blue skies and warm beautiful water. Also, it's very cheap on comparison to Rio de Janeiro for exemple, the price is amazing, especially in off season like June, and it's still high quality of services in the hotel I've told you: Pousada Rio do Peixe.
Oh!!!! But I have to recommend you visiting Minas Gerais also, it's my state, and we don't have beaches, but we have really beautiful historical towns like Ouro Preto, Diamantina, São João Del Rei, etc. With amazing nature, great to go on hikes, see waterfalls (especially Diamantina) and the food here is the best hahaha (I know I'm biased, but it's honestly great) and it doesn't matter if it's winter, I actually prefer Minas Gerais in the winter, it's cozy and the weather is good: it's cold (for our standards) but here it doesn't rain very much in the winter, it's a dry season, so we get clear skies. And in June we have FESTA JUNINA!!!!! The best festival ever!!!!! Seriously, I don't know a single person who doesn't like festa junina (literally "June festival") it has delicious foods, it's great for a immersive cultural experience.

Brazil is a paradise place, friendly.people and tropical weather .I'm in Brazil now , I was in Chile one year and in Peru and Bolivia a few days.I m from Hawaiian islands about 36 years living in Kauai island,but really impressed about Brazil ,the best people on the planet so friendly, in Hawaii islands,not friendly people,here so many friends immediately fast .I really like it in Brazil, I visited many countries, My favorite city in Brazil is JOAO PESSOA, BRAZIL,the best beaches and the place to be everything is good and safe and extremely green every corner.Warm climate and warm ocean to swimming.The people of Brazil so happy, I understand why very well ..

It reminds me of La Jolla, California where I spent all of my summers as a child and teenager frolicking in the sea with my family and friends. Marine St in La Jolla had the biggest waves six feet to ten feet tall..... to body surf till the cows came home. Ah memories!!!

If there’s a "beach economy," Buzios is its Wall Street. Its more than 20 beaches, world-class galleries, clubs and boutiques draw an elite set of travelers.
That region where you went is called the Lakes Region or Sun Coast Region, in the the state of Rio de Janeiro. You went to both peninsulas there, in the cities of Arraial do Cabo and Búzios. Nice that you showed the historic part of it that the famous actress Brigite Bardot made the place famous in the 60s, when it was a fishing village at the time. Some of the best beaches in the state of Rio are there, and Búzios is very charming.

Great video, as always. I've been an expat for 22 yrs, yet Búzios-RJ has been our favorite hideout all along. It is beautiful, it is peaceful, overall people are very nice...do agree with you regarding Arraial's beaches vs ours, though the access paths to Arraial's beaches are not always as comfortable (I'd rather get there by sailing or motoring). Búzios has most of its beaches accessible by vans, buses, Uber, bycicle or even by foot (I am sorry you didn't go to Ferradurinha, just beyond Geribá...it's very small, but just gorgeous). Now unless one prefers crowded seasons, it is worth visiting especially in our Autumn (Spring in the North Hemisphere), where there is almost no rain and days are no longer so warm. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip throughout Brazil.

The landscapes on the way are amazing. the tour was elected one of the ten best in the world according to the North American newspaper The Wall Street Journal and the British newspaper The Guardian. Been there 5 times. But I only live about 2 hours north of there in Macaé. Armação dos Búzios is a great resort town. I recommend Pedra da Laguna. Nice, quiet hotel.

I went to Buzios for a week in September 2024, after seeing your video. Thank you! This video is spot on. I had a very similar experience. Geriba had no surf. September is a quieter month, meaning that travelers can go to any restaurant or do activities without waiting in line. Also, they will find lower prices for hotel rooms. January is the opposite; expect crowds everywhere and higher prices. I never felt unsafe. All the locals told me that there is rarely any crime in Buzios. I believe them. A local election is coming soon, and a political candidate is promising more security. I met many nice people from South America, mostly Argentina. Spanish is spoken around town almost as much as Portuguese. Most workers speak at least a bit of English, and some speak English as well as I do. It’s truly an international destination. I highly recommend visiting. Thanks again for your video! It really helped me!

I've been to Rio, Buzios, Sao Paulo, Floripa, Curtiba, Porto Alegre, Bento Goncalves, Balneário Camboriú and Blumenau. Did you get a chance to visit Ouro Preto (A UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Gramado? If you haven't, I would highly recommend a visit. I've been to both cities twice.

There is a sunken Roman galley in Guanalabara Bay near Rio. The Italians rioted over that wreck back in the '80s so the Brazilian Navy shut it down. I am serious! The archaeology people think a storm washed the galley from West Africa and it hit a rock and sank. France and Brazil went to war over lobsters one time too.....

Brazil is safe. Rio some days is not good, but we have almost 6.000 cities and where I'm in Brazil I don't even lock the doors. 😄😄😄😄😄

There is a sunken Roman galley in Guanalabara Bay near Rio. The Italians rioted over that wreck back in the '80s so the Brazilian Navy shut it down. I am serious! The archaeology people think a storm washed the galley from West Africa and it hit a rock and sank.
France and Brazil went to war over lobsters one time too.....
