I did back off on the amount of red pepper flakes(used 1 tsp instead of 1 Tbsp, but everything else like you did), but next time I think I will use the full amount as it was not as spicy as I was expecting. It was spicy, just not 'blow your face off' spicy, so I can bump it up next time! hehehe The numbing effect from the Sichuan peppercorns was crazy, but good! I had never had them before. I think I might add some to my Shin ramen tomorrow for lunch... I always add 2 tsp each of sesame seeds, Korean gochugaru pepper flakes & soy sauce & sesame oil at the end. And an egg. And green onion. And... LOL Yum!
