The mark 1 5 is getting updates to bring it line with new bug fixes, camera updates, and algorithm enhancements....actually really big steps forward and impressive. My biggest grip with android 14 is that photo recall is still via a search in storage and not in a photo album app. Best enhancements improvements on algorithms in auto or basic mode. Interest in improvements in photo apps and controllability, editing and new filter ranges. Battery life also is getting better.

    I am a proud owner of Sony A95K, PS5, Xperia 1 (V with 1TB of storage).

The 1V much better viewing 4k movies

Otherwise they are pretty much the same so keep your 1V

Yes, they dropped the signature tall 4K display in exchange for extra camera prowess. The Xperia 1 vi uses a more conventional 19.5:9 ratio, 1080p OLED screen.

I guess 1080 is bright er than 4K

Yeah, the Xperia 1 VI get upto 1300 nits of peak brightness as against 866 nits on the Xperia 1 V.

2023 model is the best one. 2024 has updated hardware like wi-fi snapdragon performs better but nothing that'll make it a night & day difference. Everything about 2023 model looks to be much better.i have a Samaung Ultra S21 and did not upgrade to the 22, 23 or 24 because the screen resolution, pixels etc was downgraded. Ready to move on to Sony now with last year's model 🔥 😊

Why they reduced screen pixels on Xperia 1 vi ? Isn't high ppi density good?

    • @arcgadgets214
      @arcgadgets214  27 днів тому +1

The Sony Xperia 1 VI has a lesser PPI (pixels per inch) density than the Sony Xperia 1 V because of differences in their display specifications, primarily driven by changes in screen size, resolution, or both. The Xperia 1 V has a 4k resolution while Xperia 1 vi is FHD.
High ppi density is good, but it's dependent on screen specifications.

A certificação é ip65/68, pode não parecer mais tem diferença na prática / The certification is IP65/68, it may not seem to have any difference in practice anymore

      Thank you for your feedback.
However, there's still some difference between the two ratings.
IP65 and IP68 are both ratings for water and dust resistance, but IP65 provides protection against water splash and dust, while IP68 offers superior protection against immersion in water beyond 1 meter. For upto 30 minutes in some cases.
IP65 is suitable for everyday protection against rain and dust, while IP68 provides a higher level of water resistance than IP65, making it a better choice for devices that require more robust protection.

In my research, IP65 protects against water jets, for example, which makes me understand that there is a difference between keeping the device submerged and placing it in front of a constant jet of water, as the brand's own advertising demonstrates. Making there a difference between one certification and another, due to the situation to which it is subjected

In all, the higher IP rating has better water resistance.

In EU we need 25fps from a Sony phone!
Did SONY actually removed 25fps - Pal mode ???
All previous version had 25fps for EU Countries (with 230V 50Hz)
No feature is more important than having usable framerates especially for SONY camera users (your No.1 customers)
    WHY ?
Because without it we get extreme flickering at most artificial light conditions.
To avoid this we will have to adjust the shutter speed at every shooting condition (requires knowledge), while sacrificing motion blur control and ease of use!
We were expecting an upgrade with 50fps and 100fps also in EU.
We don't mind the screen changes with it's pros and cons that much...
85-170 is a good addition BUT
We were waiting for this SONY mobile for months and now you give us no choice than to buy an the iphone with over sharpened footage, no sd card slot, no 3.5 mm audio jack.

The actual frame rates available are 4K@24/25/30/60/120fps HDR.
And there's a hybrid microSDXC card slot that uses shared SIM slot.
      There's also a 3.5mm Headphone Jack.
