I can’t Express how Lucky I am to find your channel, i mean yes there’s a lot of the doctors/med student channels but non of them shows us everything in details as you do! Hi Madalyn! My nickname is Mario and I'm only 14. I want to start researching medicine, but when I pitched the idea to my mom she wasn't very happy about it. Also, You look really young did people ever judge you or implied abt ur smartness of medicine?
You should definitely go for it and not let anyone stop you from chasing your dreams!
Don't want to disencourage you by any means bud, but if you're only 14 maybe you should just focus on being a good high school student and trying to get into the best college possible with as much scholarships and financial aid as you can get. And have fun my bro cuz college is cool, med school is alright, residency is no fun, fellowship is decent, and being a doctor is hard work. So there's no time like the present for having fun.

Yes, I have been and continue to be judged for the way that I look, but besides a polite reminder that appearance and youth have no bearing on your qualifications, you let your actions and your capabilities speak for you. But also yes, you are soooo young!! PLEASE enjoy life, every moment of it! Work hard, of course, but don't forget to have fun and soak in every part of the journey. The journey is what gives the destination meaning. Good luck, I'm rooting for you!!

I have a question, and I'm curious. As an European it is true that in general History and Museums are more focused on European art, and partly some of big 5 civilisations. And that is a shame to be quite honest, i had to personally go and research ESA and EA culture myself.
So what I'm curious is in Museums, most of the stuff that you see have been plundered over years, and then traded later on. In a way i am happy that i can go to the museum and see exhibit that is from other side of the world, but at the same time I'm torn because if all those items would be returned to original cultures i wouldn't be able to see them that easy, and ticket to Asia/Africa or Americas isn't cheap 😂
So , what are your thoughts. Would you prefer to be able to see more even though it has history that is so nice, or would you prefer for items to be returned to their cultures and have limited ability to see and learn about them directly?

Is internal medicine residency difficult to get into for imgs?
If one is fortunate enough to get in, will we have the freedom to choose between any residency afterwards? Cuz i heard that so many of the specialities require int med. Is there merit list after int med as well?

Haha I surprisingly did have some trouble convincing my dad because he wanted me to have an easier life, but they have both been extremely supportive of me pursuing my dreams!!
Your parents just want you to be happy, love. Do what makes you happy and work hard to excel in whatever that is :)
