Dont change though... seems like you could easily have brushed over the flaws like many do when they get crap for free. NEVER CHANGE
The mantis has a heavy learning curve, like a Sony menu. One trick to adjust the legs faster is to press both buttons at once to quickly adjust…… and that learning curve…. The phone mount is amazing.

Tamron at the end, too? horrible flare/low contrast into the sun like the 12-32 panasonic tiny kit lens, nice enough until you point it at light, then crap, just like this.
If I've never mentioned it before,...I really enjoy your videos. Sometimes I'm puzzled. Sometimes informed. But always entertained. You are the son I never had. At least I don't think I had one. Pls be careful crossing the streets in slow mo. You are moving slower than you think, and cars could be at regular speed.

4:20: Kasey discovers how "center of gravity" works. Seriously, this looks like a nifty little tripod thing that could handle my Canon. Full extension only adds about an inch of reach so I wouldn't bother with it. Gonna look into it.

I bought the Nebula after watching your video and now I'm going to buy an Ulanzi ball head with arca swiss for it and it will be way better. Still cheaper than the Mantis.

Seems like if the leg with the hook extended it could accommodate different thickness of walls . It looks like it would only work on a fence and not a brick wall

Slightly offtop: Did you see the new Nikon Z fc and the Sony ZV-E10? Both with flipping screens. Sony got the active stabilization.
Imagine ZV-E10 + new Samyang 12mm F2 AF or Tamron 11-20 f2.8.
The MAIN feature of a tripod is that you can PUT IT DOWN and it doesn't fall over. That's it. It's ONE job.
You're vlogging in handle mode and you want to stop and scratch your ass... And you can't just put it down without the camera touching pavement.
That mantis thing is broken. Sorry. Lots of cool features on a not-a-tripod.

Take a look at the ulanzi mt43 tripod, as the pgytech matis tripod isn't available in my country and the price is not affordable. The mt43 looks like a better version of sirui 3t35t featuring all the good about the sirui with panarama function which looks nice

The Mantis reminds me of my Ultrapod which is very crude, smaller but costs only $20 or so. I use it for backpacking. 41 grams.
I bought the Nebula and replaced the shitty ball head with a Ulanzi arca ball head, amazing upgrade for the Nebula!

Isn't it the same as using the gorillapod thing? But less practical?
I think having a rubber grip for your Nebula will help stablise the footage and make you comfortable holding it. Still will be cheaper than the MantisPod

I ordered one when Potato Jet put his whole body weight on top of the tripod and it didn’t break. The tripod does take time to get use to, but once your accustomed to it, it’s fast to set up shots. Definitely Alien technology for sure!

As a shorter “hang onto anything” tripod I prefer the Fotopro uFO 2. It is more versatile than this hook idea and better than a Gorillapod. For length I like the Anker Nebula. That low weight is worth gold.
