I played with one at a guitar store and it was fantastic. It was the smaller version and sounded so very good, so I fell in love. At 800$, it will be my next guitar.
I own an A6R, A3M, THR10 and am about to buy the more affordable FSTA Transacoustic Ruby Red next week just because it played and sounded awesome on it's own and then I engaged the magic and was blown away with what I heard. So inspiring to play and would imagine writing tunes on it. Yamaha has been impressing me and has earned my loyalty.
I'm in doubt among A3M/A3R, and transacoustic. In the city where I live I can't play both at GC. With your experience on both model, which is the better unplugged and plugged?
Holy shit... It's so amazing!! Who ever at Yamaha thought of this deserves an award and a serious raise. And it's such a beautiful guitar as well! I gotta get one, because now my acoustic guitars feel inferior
For reals lol I once had a dream of a guitar like this years before this, but an electric instead. Not as clever as an acoustic having it since it’s usually the acoustic brought to a gathering that feels like a knife brought to a gun fight.
Just bought one, it's a great guitar, construction quality is what you'd expect from Yamaha. Before buying it I tried the Martin OM John Mayer signature (which has similar woods, rosewood, Engelmann spruce and Ebony). I'm not saying the Yamaha is better, but for the price difference (1000-ish for the Yamaha to 4500 for the Martin) you are getting a lot more for your money with the Yamaha and the sound it's not that far from the Martin.
I bought the LL -TA Model a few days ago, while it is a good guitar, it misses the equalizer, if they had built that in to the system, it would take it to another level
Sounds really nice, and convenient! I would argue to mix down the treble (at least plugged in) and fill in the mids and bass - besides that, wonderful.
If I've got this right, the guitar (the acoustic guitar) can exhibit sounds treated with chorus and reverb without being plugged into an external amplifier? So, piezos then, and quite a few to make an acceptable sound. Might seem a bit gimmicky at the moment but those little speakers are becoming more than less. I'll stick with my Fishman and array of stomp boxes and Digitech Floorboard thing in the meantime. The potential is great but a guitar is a guitar. A pedal isn't gonna make you better. Might slightly enhance what you know a bit.
Good idea but it has the typical piezo "squawk" ... I love the LR Baggs Anthem mic pickups in acoustics or Taylor Expression System 2, much less piezo sound.
Got to try this guitar in person. Its a great sounding guitar. The only draw back is the battery life is a little shorter than you typical plug in guitar but still its a great guitar. =)
i rather Yamaha made the guitar that can amplify the sound cleanly too. Sometimes you just want the guitar amplified clean without having to plug in . This is an L series. Supposed to sound good even without chorus or reverb. Why didnt they include a clean amplication function?
it would have required a amp and a speaker, this relays entirely on the guitar and actuator, and therefore much lighter, and no strain on batteries, as a real amp and speaker would need much more power to work than two aa batteries.
Yamaha finally understands that guitar players want solid woods, not plywood and Englemann Spruce is one of the best !! Now, if they will just focus on installing a killer pickup system that will compete with Taylor's pickup system and forget about the special effects, they may actually have something..
I set my mind to buy this and wanted to hear the magic before I get it. The guitar felt extremely heavy and the 'magic' was just marginal. Decided to keep my money. Wonder if I am the only one feeling underwhelmed.
I hate it when the Magic is marginal. Yam Giving Tonewood amps a run for their money? I own a Yamaha AC3R ( also rosewood back and sides) great pickup system and getting ready to lower the action that overworks my hand when barring chords. I'm betting if there was a lower price on this LL-TA the magic factor might improve a bit.
It doesn't really sound that good for a hand-crafted guitar. About a 2-3 out of ten. Sounds like the neck and frets might need setting up because it sounded pitchy all over the neck when he played it. Maybe at $400-$500 it could be a cool fly guitar. Not cutting it for average Nashville work, at least to my ears.
this is a poorly done demo, going from room reverb to hall reverb you changed from hard strum to light picking, that's no way to compare the effect especially on video!
It's an awesome guitar after playing it for a while, here is mine ua-cam.com/video/TbsaRKYtjKA/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared with a modified pickup to get all the nuances as a mic would... I can tap on mine and you'll hear it in the reverb
You think that's for sustain? Hahah. How would that work? :p It's not like shaking the neck will make the strings vibrate any longer. Whenever guitarists do this they are not "wiggling" the neck; they're bending the neck producing a slight vibrato. It's a pretty cool and well-known effect.
@@michaelkjazz4910 After a lot of failures I finally found you can, but only if you use a strap with a very thin end, no thicker than an Ernie Ball Polypro, and most importantly, D'Addario PW-DLC-01safety clips - if you use most guitar straps, or any other kind of straplock, you won't get it on - and Taylor do the same!
I played with one at a guitar store and it was fantastic. It was the smaller version and sounded so very good, so I fell in love. At 800$, it will be my next guitar.
I heard this guitar being played in a small studio one day and I fell in love. I'm going to own one before the end of my life.
I've had a TA for about 2 weeks and I'm in love with it. You will be too.
Back and sides of this LL-TA is not Rosewood (timing-1:25÷1:30), but Mahogany.
just got one yesterday it's fucking amazing it even makes me sound good
I love Yamaha 😍😍
ohh...i fell in love with these guitar...

Tried one of these yesterday and it sounds awesome! Will be getting one. I have an LL6 as well and it’s my favourite of all my acoustics.
I love it, make one with a cutaway. We’re never satisfied lol.
🙏🙏
haha..so true

Oh man this is a great demo, can't wait to play one of these!
The video doesn't do justice. You should hear this in person. I played one today
Do these play exactly like their non-TA models? For instance, the FG-TA models action/playability would be the same as a regular FG series?
Good idea but it has the typical piezo "squawk" ... I love the LR Baggs Anthem mic pickups in acoustics or Taylor Expression System 2, much less piezo sound.
You do realize there is no amp in this signal chain, right?
Whats the chord progression he's playing at 02:26?
what strings she comes with?
please add a delay actuator and add this to the the Red Label guitars.
What would this do?
Which chords are played at 4:41?any idea?
Please make a trans resonator guitar
Didn’t come to India till today 😞..
If you’re plugging in to an amp anyway and already have effects, what purpose does this serve? Am i missing something?
john campo the effects work when played unplugged.
@@cabbycabby1770 use the one that sound best the natural guitar efx or the processed amp ones
I have the Yamaha AC1M, i want this.
nice playing devon
Found a clean one for $350, very tempted to pull the trigger.
Is this ll6 with amp?
no, it's LL-16 with Trans Acoustic system
my past choice yamaha f730, original. Maid in Indonesia.
made fool. Correct your English
I have FG-TA and its great

amazing guitar, i am gonna make a video on a giant stage, when can we get it? send me one for the video, I'll send you back:)
How much
this is fucking amazing

because it would need a speaker inside. These effects are simply obtained by a systen of magnets

I want one of these so bad... but cmon guys?? What's with top knot here? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
what a good looking guy

He made this video in a an open concert hall, but if you use this in your house that would be different, that will answer the margin

Hyvibe have delay effect
He definitely needs a pick guard 1:21 cool guitar tho
kedean Duffus clear pickguard didnt mean without pickguard.. Watch again
He has a pick guard on. It just matches the same color as the wood

Why are you shaking the guitar neck after every phrase lmfao , is that your vibrato shtick
No bottom end, sounds like cardboard...
That amp took every ounce of tone away from that guitar
Recording sounds too thin to me
Sounds awful… My tonewood amp is way better…
