- Greetings everyone. Today is a pretty special day. Why, may you ask? Well, it happens that I am now at 100 subscribers now (103 to be exact)! And to commemorate such an event, I decided to make a special little video.
I've been wondering about which theme to pick, since there are so many that I could have chose, such as Candid Friend or even Desire Drive. In the end, though, I went and picked what is probably considered as the most party and upbeat theme in all Touhou; Broken Moon. I mean, if a little oni loli drinking Sake and destroying buildings everywhere isn't festive enough for you- then you are normal. Sanity in Gensokyo has no purpose, so who cares? I sure hold dear mine, though.
Anyway, I had a stupid thought that crossed my head while creating this video. "What if... this whole thing is too upbeat and amazing for only 100 subscribers...?" is a thought that crossed my mind more than once. Although I'm quite happy to see that I reached the first milestone, I just started to doubt if this video here was perhaps too much for such a small event. The entire thing sounds like something that I'd see for a 500 subscribers event. I asked Marisa about this, and well, he basically just told me that I should upload for what matters. I then finalized my choice and went to upload this video. I took his words as advice, and that's probably a good decision.
Now comes the obvious part. I'd like to give my thanks to all the folks who decided to subscribe to my channel. This channel of mine might be small and without any particular traits, but I'm sure that it will grow into something worth checking out in due time. I definitely intend on continuing uploading Touhou arrangements for a while, so let's see how far this channel can get.
To finish this up, I just want to say that this arrange is awesome. I mean, I admit, I only discovered it about three days ago, but I knew that it would be the song to put. It was meant for festive purposes. And I also want to say that Suika is awesome, because Suika and Sake goes along. Speaking of alcohol here, maybe that I should open myself a little bottle and enjoy this day? Or just stick to my usual Green Tea.
I hope that you all enjoy, and thank you once more!

Original theme : Broken Moon
Album : SEVENTEEN SPIRITS
I'm really glad someone realised the mood of the original piece. Everything else out there is all sad and sombre, but this is really quite energetic. Great cover sir.
Sad and sombre is alright, but this here is great too :D
We’re gonna break the moon with this one!
Drinking sake all night long, from night to noon!
Great song choice, just wanted to clarify for anyone curious that it's not actually from their 2010 album SEVENTEEN SPIRITS (although they have another version in that one, but more electronic and the main melody is a recorder), but rather from their 2011 album 三年幻想郷
I don't know why would think about wii at the beginning (0:28)
Don't underestimate this first milestone. It took me much more than a year to be followed by 100 subscribers, although today it takes me less than a month. What I'm trying to say is that even if it could seem to be nothing compared to 1K or 10K subscribers, it's not always the easiest milestone to reach. So be proud of what you've achieved! ^.^
Personally, I'm really pleased to have subscribed to such a lovely channel. Each single video of yours is a pure delight, and this one is no exception. It makes me want to move my body!
So... Congratulations on this first milestone!
Koishi Prismriver Oh, I certainly won't underestimate the first milestone. It's a first step to something big, so we have to celebrate it with all our heart!
I'm really glad to hear that. It feels nice to get such a comment from you, especially considering that you're one great musician and all. If you feel that way, then that means that I reached my goals. Uploading something for others to enjoy is obviously a priority.
Thank you.
Congratz for the first milestone!
*Pops a Partypopper*
Djapz30 Thank you.
*brings out a Partypopper as well*
Oh wow, a rock remix with ZUNpets in it?! Awesome job, man. This has that festive, dance-like feel I'd expect from Suika. Great mix!
Yay!On my opinion you deserve much more subs. Keep growing ;3
Eiki Shiki Aaw, how sweet of you. Thank you.
"Together, we grow!" *cue Fire Emblem*
No problem my dear ^^
I love Broken Moon but this arrangement made me... like it more? How even
Interesting how you consider this theme to be upbeat. I for one think it's rather mellow or melancholic. But this arrange flips that view over its head. Not many upbeat versions of this theme that I've heard. This one is definitely very cool. And the pic choice is good as well.
Good choice of song for the celebration.
Anyways, grats on the 100. Keep it up and 1k will be in plain sight in no time.
bioaffect Well, there's upbeat, and there's fast. Broken Moon definitely isn't fast, but it has a mix of melancholy and a sort of joy to it as well.
I know! It was a pretty neat choice, I must say.
Thank you. I'm not sure about 1K yet, but let's see what's in front of us for the meanwhile.
Actually, I think this theme IS upbeat. It plays a melancholic tone & melody in an upbeat way, which gives off both an upbeat & a melancholic feel. Its upbeat, but also melancholic at the same time, but without the upbeatness & melancholy ever blending or clashing with eachother.
Thats what made the original great(for me atleast). Its the point of the song(imo). And this arrange captures that perfectly.
But yeah, I do agree that it is a theme that lends itself very well to more melancholic & mellow arranges. It’s fucking amazing as a melancholic & mellow song.
congrats! the first of many
Phantom T. Thank you.
