Rocket’s character progression is one of the best in this series. He went from being Caesar’s rival in Rise to being fully prepared to die for him here. Such great development.
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🥺
Right?!
He should’ve been used more low-key.. All the other OG zoo apes got prominent roles but Rocket fell off to the side a little
This is Peak Cinema
@@firstlast9846 yes I can agree with that
Kingdom is set 300 years after these movies. Releases digitially on July 9 btw
The main donkey’s real name was Red
Sad fact: According to the novelization, Malcolm from the last movie is dead. He met with the Colonel to try and convince him not to fight the apes. He didn’t walk out of there.
yeah there's a deleted scene of the Colonel telling Caesar that he shot Malcolm. Absolutely shouldve been in the movie.
Since kingdom is set 300 years later Caesar is finally reunited with his entire family rocket, Maurice, will Rodman, Malcom, blue eyes, his wife ( I don’t know how to spell her name), and Cornelius.
@@TheWayOfTheLion9 Cornelia
@@TheWayOfTheLion9
Don't forget Caeser's parents, his mother Bright Eyes & his father Alpha
There's a book named "The Planet of Apes: Ceasar's story by Maurice" At the end of the movie, when Maurice saw the Ceasar's bleeding wound, say the phrase "You son will know who was father and what he did for us" and that book is the proof of that.
In fact, that book has a little extra of information between movie, for example:
Malcolm, the guy who helped Caesar in the Dawn of Planet of apes, dies trying to protect him. The colonel shot him, when he tried to speak and defend Ceasar.
its not available anywhere i can find which sucks
Same
That example is more so a deleted scene from the movie. Would be cool to have it in a book form though.
To say War for the Planet of the Apes is a masterpiece would be an understatement.
Just like this entire trilogy
Dawn is still my favorite but War is a great finale.
@@SurvivorBri Dawn is equally a masterpiece too.
Maurice and Rocket are the best side ape characters throughout this entire trilogy.
So was koba, but his hate for humans drove him over the edge smh😔
The new movie is not an epilogue! It’s a worthy continuation of the franchise, and it sets up for a whole new slate of great apes movies to come in the future
the ending was very underwhelming. the first half of the movie was incredible tho
@@JumbleBeeRescue Hard disagree. The tease at the very end sucked ("where are you?"), but other than that I enjoyed the whole movie
The way I think of it is. Koba is the devil on his shoulder, seeking revenge through rage against the humans. And Nova is his guardian angel seeing him through.
Dawn gets all the love it deserves. I definitely think War is a bit underrated. I have seen people say its not as good as the previous two.
I don’t think it’s as good as the others but I think it’s a good ending.. which is all you can ask for tbh
@@firstlast9846 Imo it's definitely better than Rise and on par with Dawn. Arguments can easily be made for both, where which one is better
I am one them. I think war is great, but it’s easily my least favorite of the modern apes movies
I like war more than the other three. 2 is just kind of like Hamlet/Lion King so I can see why a lot of people like it... But the pacing in 3 is just better
It's my favorite in the trilogy, tho I acknowledge that Dawn is probably an objectively better movie with a more entertaining story. War was unexpected tho, given the title, but I absolutely loved how personal the story was for Ceasars arc and character development. It was the perfect way to end a damn near perfect trilogy, and Andy Serkis gave possibly the greatest performance of his career and definitely deserved an Oscar. Once again, the academy seems to snub what he's accomplished for decades with all his iconic mo cap performances.

As deadpool once said...
"Every good family film starts with vicious murder."
The new one without spoiling anything, I really enjoyed! I think it’s a natural continuation of the story and the legacy of Ceasar and his apes. It comes out on digital next month and on blu ray in August. But if you wish to see it in theaters and make a video on it I’d watch it too. I’ve seen it three times in theaters now. Big planet of the apes fan.
You’re right, Angelina. Everyone was stunned after watching all of this and sadden to see Caesar go; for I was among those who witnessed everything, from beginning to end. The apes had become so much like us that they even had traitors within; just like how we betray one another with absolutely no remorse. With this film, it shows that even in an apocalyptic world for the humans, we still kill each other when we’re supposed to be united after enduring much pain and loss. With his family nearly being gone, Caesar has gone to a point where his morals and principles no longer matter when the enemy doesn’t even try to comply peacefully and finally cease the bloodshed after so many fatalities dying in vain. When Nova came into the picture because of Maurice, it reminded him of why he wished to coexistence with them in the first place since he was raised and harmed by the humans who brought him into this world, despite the circumstances that led to it. Regardless to which we stand, one thing is for sure: life on Earth will never be the same again. Like Moses, he passed away leading his people to a land where he couldn’t live in it but the irony was that his mortal wound was caused by the very person that he spared to show the soldiers that they’re nothing like them in every way. This is the franchise that I grew up with and it was bittersweet to watch how everything turned out. With the fourth installment being released, I am also curious of how this story will continue forward instead of backwards like the original. If I said this before, I’ll say it again: his name was Caesar, Remember It. APES TOGETHER STRONG. 👊✊
I ain't reading all that
I think Dawn has a better overall story, but War is my favorite. The character development of Ceasar, Woody Harrelson as a very complex and 3 dimensional antagonist, along with an absolutely wonderful performance by Steve Zahn as "bad ape", which gave us much needed levity in a very bleak story. This all put it over Dawn for me, tho theyre honestly both masterpieces in different aspects and together create the best PotA story ever, and one of the best trilogies of all time. Easily in the pantheon of perfect trilogies with Lord of the Rings and Back to the Future.
Caesar's character arc through the trilogy is one of the most well written in the history of cinema. Flawless writting and flawless acting by Andy Sherkis.
If it wasn't for the love that Cesar has for his tribe he would had ended up like Coba, the moment his family die he lets anger and revenge take over him and he doesn't hesitate to kill humans and even kill Winter (although killing Winter was for the most part and accident but he still went for the deadly choke), he was soo concentrated into revenge that he didn't care casting away his friends and even leave his only son behind. It wasn't until he see his tribe and son suffering that he realizes how much he has fallen, and that's the only thing that really stop him from ending up like Coba
PLEASE give the Star Trek franchise a chance. 🖖🖖🏻🖖🏼🖖🏽🖖🏾🖖🏿
ANGELINA: *Constantly being adorable while talking about how adorable things are.*
I highly recommend jumping into the original series of movies before checking out Kingdom.
The original movies are fantastic, btw!
This franchise is special. I never thought I would have enjoyed it to the extent that I did. Caesar's death broke me in every way.
Rocket is an amazing character. Maurice may be my favorite ape (only speaks when it's important. When Maurice speaks, you'd better listen). I love the gorillas and their loyalty. I cry every time Luca dies.
The ape characters are better than a lot of human characters in other franchises.
Love that Maurice was with Caesar in his last moment .
Like Moses led his people to the Promised Land, but was not allowed to enter.
12:50 the SQUEAKY SOUND was awesome 😂
This is one of my favourite series. Such a good story.
I was waiting for this!!
so great how much you love these movies. As much as I want to see your commentary on the 4th one you should watch it in theaters as a treat for yourself.
This trilogy is one of the best of all times!
Love the music in this film.
Also, the land that they go to at the end is most likely Spirit Lake at the north face of Mt. St. Helens.
I’m so excited for you to see Kingdom. It’s just as good it’s incredible please do a commentary on it haha. All these movies are so freakin good
Love your commentary for these movies. Can't wait to see more. I enjoyed watching the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. Would like to get your opinion on the film. Apes Together Strong!
i watched each and every one of these movies in cinema and the ending of this one broke me, i was so sad the next movie wasnt going to have caesar and that was the end of his story and it was such a strong end
I was dubious about this new movie set, so I waited for it to come out on box set and bought the UHD version and damn I was blown away with this new version, I absolutely loved it and as everyone else has said they just seemed to get better with every movie,
Sometimes it make me sad that this trilogy was not very popular ,but now in fact i love that
Not always popular things means are good .
Yes definitely check it out!
Angelina Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
Fun fact. It was stated by the creators that rocket would’ve destroyed donkey if he was being serious and I agree. Dude could throw hands before he was smart and now he’s had years to practice
I like the part where Caesar says to his son, "You're a real chimp off the old block!".
Now I have to say this the reboot Trilogy of Planet of the Apes it's like underrated and no one gives it love which if you hate it you should feel ashamed of yourself cuz my God it is the best thing I have ever seen which honestly and then when the fourth one came out I have to say this the fourth is better than the Third fight me if you want to cuz it will not make me change my opinion so yeah if you want to find a good movie series that is underrated try this the reboot your Planet of the Apes a try cuz I'm saying this and I'm saying this once once you watch the entire trilogy it is going to be a magical experience
Haha I have no idea what she's talking about half the time but she somehow brightens my day. Good energy!
Awesome reaction of my favorite Planet Of The Apes movie!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
"Underrated" is the perfect word for this entire Trilogy.
I'm not sure I'd call the trilogy underrated, all three films were very popular with audiences and well-received by critics when they came out. I think it's more a case that we all collectively forgot about how good these films are until the new one was announced and we all went back to watch them and rediscovered how amazing they all are
I hope more people star watching this movies
This film is really beautiful in a good and sad way
Ayy Angelina!! Since u asked, an idea I wanna put out there is to watch the new Apes movie in theaters and post a movie review!
As nice as another movie commentary would be, I cannot explain with words how amazing of a theater experience seeing the 4th one was! Incredible, stunning by the end. It might be exciting doing something different. But hey if u choose the movie commentary option, I don't think anyone's opposed!
Loved your reaction as always. You should definitely check out society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, the acting was amazing.
Definitely recommend reacting to the originals and Kingdom when it comes out
Fav trilogy
This movie always make me cry
So glad you see this trilogy.
How pretty Ange looks with her new hair. 🎉🎉🎉
Beautiful and emotional movie
I’m mad she didn’t recognize the meme but I’m glad Reese pointed it out 😂 😂 😂
@ANGELINA did you make a video of you traveling to Mexico ? Im thinking to go on vacation to mexico one day and if you have some tips, travel guide and recommendations ?
Caesar is such an iconic character
I like the part wear Caesar says, "Man I could use a drink! Let's go to the monkey bars!".
This movie is very emotional 🥺
You should watch the first movie, the original with Charlton Heston that actually takes place after all these prequels.
Bap ape was the laughs part that we need in this movie ♥️
Me and my family just watch kingdom planet of the apes last month in May in theaters is great
This one is by far the most deep one 💔
Love the hair
This movie broke my heart
I wish they given us more rocket scenes in the others ones, love his character.
6:37 oh future angelina im sorry
I adore this saga 👌😭
the end were rocket and the other apes were looking at caesar's lifeless body will always get me 😪
Hello Ange!😊 I agree with you 100% that the CGI just keeps improving with each of these films. I'm hoping the fourth film holds up to these three films, with Ceasar gone!😭 Great reactions to this third film in the best Planet of the Apes films made so far, Ange!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love this movies with caesar so much
Angelina: "I hope we get to see, like, the "Father-Son passing of the torch kinda vibe."
Us: 😶
i was so duped
Great film!
Maurice and rocket are his day one's from back then all the way until now 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Angelina: "I don't want anyone to die!'
A bunch of Apes and people die.✌️
This movie is like the story in the Bible. Moses leading the captured out of Egypt and into the promised land. Caesar does it leading the apes out as well.
This is my fav 🖤
The original Planet of the Apes from 1968 is definitely worth watching.
I have a new series for you to watch next. THE CONJURING !!!!
3 movies are out so far. A part 4 will be coming out the end of this year.
I love we can see more of Rocket in this one 👌
the next movie is so worth watching, a commentary would be cool but I would understand if you couldnt wait that long
I love Bad Ape so much. Steve Zahn did a great job.
YESSSS BAD APE hahahahahah. Bad ape is one of my favorite characters in this series and fun fact he is voiced and acted out by steve zahn
How I've gone from "ha! ha! He thinks he's people!" to "damn... I really hate people." 😄
Yiu gotta react to the new Kingdom for the planet of the apes!! It's a very interesting direction after the Caesar trilogy. I believe they're gonna come out on dvd on July 8th, not sure for digital.
Don't see your reaction yet but Like already 👍
After this movie rocket is in my top 3 of favs characters
1.Caesar
2.Maurie
3.Rocket
The actors were amazing too.
The new one plays 300 years later. So no character is taken over. But is does deal with Ceasars Legacy, how it is carried on in good ways but also how its message can be twistet and abused. It is not an Epiloge, but beginning of a new trillogie - if Studio permits. It currently stands as fourth succesfull movie of the year, although that's in part because several other movies this year flopped. I liked it much more than I thought I would, made me watch this Trilogie. Before I knew only the first original one and the Tim Burton one. Since you saw the Trailer for the new one, I hope by now you forgot about that or at least didn't saw the final Trailer. Because the final one reveals something that should not have been revealed by Trailer. The director got overrulled by Studio in that regard. In general I would recomend watch in cinema, the landscape-shots allone are stuning, but as you pointed out, than we wouldn't see your live reaction, so I would be happy if you make the sacrifice and watch it when it comes out on digital in a few days, haha!
Dune part 1 & 2. Please make it happen!
One the best trilogys ever made !!
And the protagonist was an Ape 😎
Angie, hear me now
You will absolutely love and be all emotional to Matt Reeves' direction of "THE BATMAN" with Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne
DO COMMENTARY FOR THE 4TH. IST SO GOOD AND I LIKED IT ALOT!!
A really well made trilogy
I don't like to be the 'actually' guy, but since it was brought up so aggressively 😅
Cladistically speaking, apes _are,_ in fact, monkeys. It makes sense to refer to them separately because it helps us to distinguish different types of animals but, scientifically speaking, there's nothing wrong with calling them monkeys because...well, they are!
Really enjoyed your reactions; I love seeing these things through fresh eyes, it brings them to life again for me!
That end,always hurt.
Probably one of the most emotionally draining movies I've watched...I was so sad afterwards.
If you want another mocap movie to see more of Andy Serkis's awesomeness (and being directed by Steven Spielberg no less), I can not recommend The Adventures of Tintin enough. It is Spielberg in his Indiana Jones mode again, but unleashed through the power of animation.
These movies are so well done. However I haven't seen the newest/4th movie in the franchise yet. It has a new director,
So I'm worried the writing, cinematography and CGI qaulity might have been compromised in the 4th movie. Will the story and characters still have substance? CGI alone doesn't make a good movie.
Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.
This movie need a character like Bap Ape,because is very dark..🖤
Even I hate seen caesar died it was a good close for his journey 💖
Watch the 1st film from the 60’s. A must see.
Best trio: Caesar,Rocket and Maurice 🙌
Whot a Wonderful Dayyy 🐒
